Re: Sonic Boom Sales Struggle to Explode as Sega Clarifies Restructuring Plans

@YouGotOwend

It's all Sega have to do, but they won't make that kind of game.

They tried with Sonic 4 I guess, but they screwed the physics up beyond belief. Just keep the megadrive physics, they were perfect.

Remove the homing attack and other new abilities. Just have a jump and spin dash and have a few shields, regular, bubble, lightning etc, like sonic 3 but add a few new ones too. The regular shield could even have the homing attack move if they insist on keeping that.

Add in some retro 16-bit stages as secret bonus levels for collecting hidden silver rings or something in regular stages. And a Rayman origins type game would be perfect.

Re: Gunman Clive Sales Pass 400,000 Across All Platforms

The EU would like to formally apologise to Mr Hörberg and all other developers making genuinely great games. We simply cannot resist the same Fifa game every 12 months and superb First Person Shooters such as Aliens: Colonial Marines.

We want to buy good games, but we just can't help ourselves.

We're sorry.

Re: Talking Point: Star Fox for Wii U is an Ongoing and Surprising Mystery

IxC

I'm really worried. Miyamotos other gamepad based demos, project giant robot and project guard looked fairly poor, not graphically, but gameplay wise.

I fear the same for Starfox. But I'll be extremely happy to be proved wrong.

I still think giving Starfox to Platinum Games and just have them make 20 or so levels like the one in Bayonetta 2 would be an excellent way forward. Add a few ground stages too. And awesome, done.

Re: Nintendo Direct Confirmed for 14th January, With Focus on Spring Releases

IxC

I'm interested to see what the UK price for the new 3DS ends up being, because based on the prices so far, my imported one from Australia looks to be cheaper. Which should not be possible.

Other than that, I want Mario Maker more than anything. I swear that could be the only game I ever need for the rest of my life. Endless downloadable stages!

Re: Feature: A Nintendo 2014 Retrospective - January to March

IxC

I think we're all eagerly awaiting the next Nintendo Direct.

I'm sure a lot of people are hoping for a release date for the New 3DS in Europe and the Americas. I was, but impatience got the best of me and I bought an Australian one since the region is the same. It's awesome.

When the Direct does come I'd like to see more of Xenoblade for the New 3DS and maybe another game exclusive to the new system to further show what it's capable of.

Other than that, just some release dates for Wii U games in Europe. I don't expect any new Wii U games announced in the next Direct.

Re: Feature: The Biggest 3DS Games of 2015

IxC

I'm only interested in Gunman Clive 2 and maybe Xenoblade from this list.

I am impatiently awaiting some of the other games from Renegade Kid though. Treasurenauts, Moon Chronicles and Xeodrifter. Europe exists Jools! We exist!

Re: Feature: A Year in Development - RCMADIAX

IxC

He gets more hate than he deserves really.

Firstly, none of his games are actually bad, broken or unplayable. Blok Drop U is the only one worth getting so far though, I believe.,

The 3 dice games are a bit of a waste of time I think. But they work for what they are. Which has to count for something when other indie developers and massive publishers alike are releasing games that simply don't work at all. Nintendo does need to tighten up it's minimum quality rules for the eShop to keep that stuff out.

I have a feeling people wouldn't give his games half as much hate if they looked a bit better. Blok Drop U's minimal style works, but I'll admit I think the better and more interesting graphics of the Twisted Fusion crossover improves the Block Drop formula.

I think he needs to hire an artist to help out, because at the moment you can tell he's a programmer doing artwork. And his games reflect that. It's exactly how my games used to look in college, because I'm not an artist. He's got the programming down for these small simple games, he just needs an artist to make them look a bit better and I think less people would complain. Minimal and grey works, but not every single time.

Am still interested to see more of Super Robo Mouse. And still waiting for the extra Blok Drop levels. I hope his new games are more like these two rather than dice games or flappy bird clones.

@Peach64

3 of each Amiibo is a total of 36 if they got all of them. Thats more than enough for a display. There's never more than 36 copies of anything on a display for goodness sake.

But I'd expect nothing less from Game. I'm kinda surprised they bothered stocking them at all.

Re: Shovel Knight Digs For Victory With 300,000 Copies Sold

IxC

I also have it on Wii U. It's awesome. But damn hard, like games used to be.

Was tempted to get the 3DS version too with the 30% discount offer. But the price is still too high to justify another copy of the same game. Cross buy would be ideal, but whatever.

Re: Review: Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones (Wii U eShop)

IxC

I've been looking forward to this. The level editor and endless supply of user made levels sounds excellent.

But with Bayonetta 2 already purchased this month, and Smash Bros and all the Amiibo next month, this is going to have to wait for a sale. I don't have infinite money.

But I will definitely get it at some point.

Re: Video: The Secret Star Fox And Mario Bros. Easter Eggs Of Bayonetta 2

IxC

The Starfox costume is actually pretty ugly. But the changes it makes to the game are absolutely amazing.

I'm still working my way through Bayonetta 1 again before I start Bayonetta 2.

Usually playing in the Peach costume, or Bayonetta's original costume. Will have to play in the Starfox costume for that final level though.

Re: 8 Player Smash Mode Confirmed For Wii U Super Smash Bros.

IxC

@rjejr

There's no reason any combination of controllers shouldn't work.

The Wii U gamepad uses Wifi to communicate with the Wii U system because it needs to stream the video as well, so button inputs are also transmitted via Wifi at the same time.

Wii U pro controllers, wii remotes, wii classic controllers, (all other accepted wireless controllers) use bluetooth.

Bluetooth used to have a device limit of 7 I believe, but now, with newer versions of bluetooth, the limit is 10 devices. 10 low power devices. Contollers are low power.

I'm not sure whether the 3DS uses Wifi or Bluetooth to communicate with the Wii U. It doesn't matter really.

The Wii U should be able to support more than enough wireless controllers without the gamecube adapter being required.

Re: Nintendo Download: 23rd October (Europe)

@Peach64

Ah. Lucky you.

I got my Wii U system for cheap that way. I ordered when Amazon had a temp price, that ended up being about £50 less than the real price..

I can't be bothered to change my order to save £1.05. £40 is a fair price for both games I think.
