I went with Europe/North America purely for nostalgia reasons cos when I was younger double dragon machines were everywhere and I’m pretty sure that was the artwork that was on the marquee always had a soft spot for double dragon even tho the home conversions were not so great compared to the arcade
My copy of Blazing strike should be arriving today I’m eager to give it a go also will be playing some more of Xeno Crisis on Dreamcast just wish I had the virtual on twin stick
This is shaping up to be an excellent collection still play most of these on my Dreamcast project justice is just crazy bonkers but at the same time amazing and the power stone games are outstanding well done capcom (for once) 😂
Ace combat 7 for me it really is excellent way better than I expected also I’m trying to finish Neo Breakout from Atari 50 got to level 26 at the moment I’m just hopelessly addicted to it
@mattesdude the first few missions help you get used to the controls they are like a disguised tutorial and it’s more arcade than sim I was surprised how quickly I got into it
Just got this a couple of days ago having never played any of the series but I’m really enjoying it plays really well and I’ve not noticed any drops in frame rate looks awesome on switch oled
@-wc- I agree with you on a lot of your points sometimes when you do actually play the arcade version they don’t feel as polished or as complete as the home versions graphics aside. Rolling thunder 2 was one of the first games I really noticed it on the Mega drive it has mission dialogue before you start and a nice little ending sequence at the end of each level nothing like that on the arcade version. All the capcom fighters on Dreamcast are amazing and they all definitely do have extras and extra polish added to them Third strike on the anniversary collection is no where near as good as the Dreamcast version
Game has been on a steady decline for years the shops at the moment look like a jumble sale and games have kinda taken a backseat to all the merchandise and general tat they sell but they don’t help themselves they are quite high priced compared to Smyths or Argos which where I live they are all within walking distance of each other you can save yourself serious cash just by checking all the stores when buying a new game
The demo has quite a few hiccups and stutters along the way but I feel the game itself is just a by the numbers type of game nothing really that interesting
Got mine at a midnight launch with BoW it’s been such a great console for me perhaps my favourite of all time bring on switch 2 or whatever it’s gonna be called
Ultra street fighter 2 is a really good game that I think gets overlooked to not even make this list is ridiculous and the street fighter collection deserves a higher score Third strike is one of the greatest fighting games ever created and the collection is worth buying just for that reason alone
Love the letter about the joy con strap in the washing machine I have accidentally put my Samsung flip phone from years ago in the washer surprisingly it still worked and when I went to trade it for an upgrade the guy in the shop said this is in great condition so clean lol
@sdelfin you have to have the 8bitdo adapter 2 which I already had but yeah it’s an extra expense if you don’t already have the adapter you also have to update the controller and adapter to get it to work
@Serpenterror I have that controller love the d pad I use it for arcade archives Neo Geo games but recently been playing F Zero 99 with it and it works a treat also works on megadrive/genesis mini
My launch day switch has crack’s which are no fault of my own I always look after my console’s and an oled version should be offered from day one not as a revision
F Zero 99 for me can’t get enough of it also been playing EA FC 24 it plays a really decent game of football certainly the best you can get on switch not bothered about frame rates it’s actually really good
I’ve been playing f-zero 99 a lot really got into it although I’m not the best I have been slowly climbing up the ranks. Bought ACA Pulstar in the sale keep buying Neo Geo games since I got my 8bitdo Neo Geo controller gives the games an authentic feel to them
@Dr_Corndog I was really into the series but I think it was MGS4 that put me off I have the hd collection on ps vita so I have no real need for this great to have them on switch for those who have never played these I just find it a waste of money for me
@CharlieGirl really don’t know I remember buying a steel book special edition not sure which one but I was so underwhelmed by what was on offer for a single player I don’t think I touched it for a few months by which time there had been an update that added arcade mode but to be honest I always returned to older versions like dream match and evolution as the single player options were much better
@CharlieGirl I really can’t remember which one it was but I’m sure arcade was added as an update long after the game was released which I think is pretty poor for an arcade game
This is a great game but I think I didn’t play it much back on ps3 cos it doesn’t include an arcade mode online only which is not great if you plan on playing whilst travelling or whatever
Octopath traveler 2 picked it up at a bargain from Argos and just set up my Dreamcast with GD Emu after my disk drive failed so will be playing some of my favourites this weekend
This should be the standard your device will last longer than the battery anyway it’s like laptops at one time you could remove and replace the battery now it has to be sent away or go to a repairer’s which is ridiculous and wasteful
Great game and awesome artwork on all versions very tough decision but I went for Europe as it’s familiar to me but I do really like the North American version too
@RadioHedgeFund yep all my DC controllers still work perfectly my joycons however are unplayable sometimes I just got a spilt pad pro and solved the problem
@Ristar24 Rez is a beautiful game it would be so nice to have it on switch just sit back with an oled switch and some decent headphones would be gaming heaven for me
@Ooyah yeah it was a great game I always found it difficult but interesting at the same time I really should give it a go but to be honest the c64 games that I have played recently all seem to be brutally hard I always think how did I play these back in the day

Re: Capcom Outlines Changes To Each Game In 'Fighting Collection 2'

Didn’t killer 7 get remastered for pc a few years back just release that on switch still have my GameCube original not played it in a while
Re: Review: SNK Vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos (Switch) - A Great-Looking But Painfully Average Fighter
It’s not a bad game by any means but it feels stiff and unfinished had it for the og Xbox but it’s not a patch on capcom vs SNK or it’s sequel

Re: Review: Top Racer Collection (Switch) - Three Classic Racers And The Odd Backfire
I always thought that these games chugged along they were pretty choppy on SNES certainly when compared to the lotus games on the Amiga

Re: Sega's Upcoming Crazy Taxi Revival Will Apparently Be A "Triple-A" Game

Re: Hands On: Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 Could Be So Much More, But Isn't
The original was superb for the time on ps1 but I feel as the series went on they just got so cut scene heavy and not much of a game hard pass for me
Re: Review: Red Dead Redemption - A Fine But No-Frills Switch Port, For A Fistful Of Dollars
@KIRO I read somewhere that the in game text can be tweaked to your personal preference

@CharlieGirl it must be xiv or xv on ps4 one of them is pretty slim on single player modes

Re: Soapbox: Switch Is Only A Classic Or Two From Being The Perfect PlayStation History Lesson

Re: TMNT: Shredder's Revenge Lands New Character, Game Mode And More In Upcoming DLC
Usagi Yojimbo that’s a character I haven’t seen for years I remember the c64 game
