@FilmerNgameR I only played the Wii U version of Sonic Lost World. I enjoyed it so much that the game nearly got me buy a 3DS for the 3DS version of Sonic Lost World.
@FilmerNgameR Generations are good but it does not really glow on me (probably because I dislike those mission stages). Sonic Colors is mostly a 2D game with occasional 3D stages. But, wow, its 2D stages are the most extensive and varied throughout the entire sonic series! Sonic Lost World did perfectly on the control of a 3D sonic. Combination of Generations and Lost World will be interesting, although I thought there are stages like those in Lost World (those segment of stages were you keep running forward?).
@FilmerNgameR The last multi-platform sonic game (be it either Sonic Transformed or Sonic Generations) was good but I thought Sonic Colors and Sonic Lost World were better.
Regardless of what people say, I feel recent sonic has been better than ever! Nostalgia affects you if you really think that old Sonic titles are better than Sonic Colors and Sonic Lost World. I grew up with Sonic but I felt Sonic Colors have much varied gameplay than the old Sonic titles. Lost World has resolved the camera angle issue. I will buy Sonic Boom for Wii U Day 1!
The first week of sales discounts for celebrating Smash Bros was awesome (Mario 3 and even Mario 3D World) but the sales for the following weeks are just lackluster. Why not having sales for Super Matriod and GBA Metroid?
I remembered Dynasty Warrior in PS2. It was a game that LOOKED pretty but all you need to do was to keep pressing the same button to do the combos. After a while I felt bored.
Looks like Bayonetta 2 will be much less repetitive.
It is probably not coming to Wii U: it is unlikely to be released in any console anyway. How to emulate those sand-playing mechanics on any platform?
There are many hits from SEGA that is not released outside Japan. About 10 years ago Sega released a blockbuster based on the Chinese story - the Romance of the Three Kingdom (the same story background of Dynasty Warrior). In this Sega game, you played on a table where you can put cards on. The table emulates a battlefield. While a TV screen shows the moves of a CPU-controlled army, you placed and moved your cards on the table (battlefield) in response. Each card represents an army and you have to move your cards (in real time) so as to counter the CPU enemy (that is constantly in motion).
Sega did released a version of this game for DS, where you can move cards on the touch screen. That game was a hit not only in Japan but also in Asia, but it was not found anywhere in the West.
Sonic the Hedgehog (Gamegear version) was surprisingly a good game. I still remember the fun boss at the third stage. The games in the Genesis version and the Gamegear version are quite different.
@BearHunger I actually thought Sonic 1 on gamegear was a bit better than Sonic 2 on gamegear.
@luke88 I understand what you are saying, but do you notice that Wii U games are increasingly unlikely to have demo? I often purchased a game that I do not play because the game did not have demo (e.g., Scream Kitty and Toki Tori 2). These games are by no means bad and someone would love these games. Just I would not play them. I just do not want to pay a full price for a game that I would regret after playing it for a few minutes.
I have just spent $15 on Shovel Knight, $10 on SteamWorld Dig, $5 on Scream Cat, $12 on Wii Sport Club, $4 for Mario 3... another $15 is hard for me to swallow.
I wish that NIntendo can do the camera right. I used the camera in Game and Wario and I did not think that the gamepad actually acts well as a camera in that game.
Well, Nintendo may decide not to import this game outside Japan...
I remembered playing Mario Bros when I was like 9, and then I felt lots of games were better than Mario Bros (e.g., Wonderboy, Bio Miracle Bokutta Upa). But after playing Mario 3 I felt like it is one of the best games ever made - definitely better than the Boner games nowadays.
Honestly, you can still play Mario 3 nowadays and experienced how amazing it still is (as compared to recent video games)? The problem of recent video games was that they are too easy (i.e., no challenge) and probably for kids only.
They just cancelled Kirby Super Star. I have suggested before - they should give discounts for eshop instead of giving out games that no one wants. Think about it: $5 off for each 200 coins or something, and maybe allow these $5 to be used for games over $10. Good for their business as I would pay more to buy a more expansive game. I would also be much more keen about Club Nintendo than having Mario Bros (?)
Mario Bros was one of the first games I played on NES and I remember disliking it.
2 games in one. What a steal! I like a lot of things about W101, jest except the drawin recognition. Bayonetta is nit going tohave this element. In addition, i somehow like the torturing combo. Call me sadistic!
I agree that the Nintendo custome thing is somewhat unnecessary: do not really fit with the game. Bayontta with peach costume does not look like Peach anyway. I won't bother with this element.
I won't buy other games until Bayonetta come out. Somehow i qm not really interested in Hyrule Warrior. Then, in Nov, Sonic Boom. Christmas, Captain Toad.
@andrea987 There are two lies in this world:
"We never fire people." (Fact: "Every company fires")
"We never fire people." (Fact: They secretly stage a layoff.)
It is unknown which company Nintendo belongs to, as the company was renowned for developing a monopoly and forced developers to sign contracts that prohibited them to develop games for Sega (Mega Drive) and NEC (PC Engine).
@andrea987 @electrolite77 @Sceptic Your feud here reminded me a few months ago, how people laughed at Sega laying off people. It appears that Nintendo laid off even more.

Re: Video: Sanzaru Games Discusses Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal for 3DS
This game actually gets me excited! It looks so fun and it will be a good 2D platformer (that we are severely lack of).
Re: Review: Bayonetta 2 (Wii U)
I played the demo and I like it more than W101.The control of B2 is tighter, and the drawing mechanism is gone.
By the way, why is Sega involved in this game?
I never really notice framerate drop. How can people notice it with a bare eye?
Re: Feature: The Biggest Wii U Games of 2014 - Fall Edition
Sonic Boom, Bayonetta 2 and Captain Toad for me.
Re: Koei Tecmo Europe All But Confirms Fatal Frame Wii U As Japan-Only
I played Zero 4 on Wii and it was awesome. Creepy and atmospheric.
I was planning to buy Zero 5, if it appears on Wii U.
Re: Nintendo Confirms Final Week Details For Its Super Smashing eShop Sale
@JoeBro Pikmin 3 is the best game on Wii U. It deserves $60.
Re: Guide: How to Beat Everyone Else in Mario Kart 8
@CliveWinston That was what I meant. MK8 is about getting the right item (esp 3 muchrooms in the last lap) and knowing what the shortcuts are.
Re: Guide: How to Beat Everyone Else in Mario Kart 8
MK8 is more about getting the right items (e.g., 3 muchrooms in the final lap) rather than skills anyway.
Re: Nintendo Region Locks Consoles To Get More Hardware Sales, Says Mitchell Corp Boss
Region locks sucks, because I would buy Tetris versus Puyo Puyo,
Re: Nintendo Region Locks Consoles To Get More Hardware Sales, Says Mitchell Corp Boss
What a strange idea: region locking a console so that people may need to buy two consoles if they travel to another region?
Don't they need to buy a separate set of games as well?

Re: Review: Hyrule Warriors (Wii U)
@MadAdam81 36 out of 40: exactly the same score of Sonic Lost World on Wii U!
Re: Review: Hyrule Warriors (Wii U)
@MadAdam81 You are wrong. The person who reviewed the game was Jose Otero on IGN, and he is a huge fan of Nintendo games.

what makes nintendo put up a demo for this game but not most other franchise is a conundrum to me.
Re: Demo for Super Smash Bros. 3DS Announced for North America and Europe
Life is unfair. Just give everyone a demo code, Nintendo!

Re: Watch Dogs Wii U Release Dates Confirmed

@tovare Please, sonic lost world is much better than sonic adventure...
Speaking about mature games, where is Yazuka for release in US? Why didn't Sega localize Yazuka and release it?

Just spent some money on Eshop to buy Mario 3, which is on promotion. Fun game!

Re: Armillo Patch Rolls Onto Wii U to Fix Framerate and Completion Issues
Given that it is am indie game the framerate issue is totally forgiveable. There are not a lot of good platformers nowadays, and thus it is a gem.

Re: Nintendo Direct on 4th September to Reveal More Bayonetta 2 Details
Yes, Bayonetta!
Re: Mega Man Legends 3 8-Bit Fan Demake is Available Now
@hypercoyote Sorry, I thought you meant you thought the game had English, but you checked and it did not.
Yes, it had both English and Japanese. But truly, it does not really matter about the language in the game. You must need to smash buttons. :>
Re: Mega Man Legends 3 8-Bit Fan Demake is Available Now
@hypercoyote What are you talking about? Once your download the game, it has both English and Japanese version.
This game is freaking tough. I love it and NIntendo should make more games like this.
