Reading Blood Sweat and Pixels really opened my eyes to how nuts game development is (I recommend it to anyone interested in the process). It's also worth noting how young the industry is and how quickly, and in how many directions, it has expanded. Creating something as complex as a 'B' level game is is lot, let alone AAA. I'm not saying some of the larger companies couldn't do more. Just that cutting people some slack is ok. If I make a mistake in my job it isn't going to be for millions of people to see, and bash on social media.
I'm loving the free and paid DLC. I have been playing AC almost every day since it came out. This update has added so much it'll keep me going for a long time.
@AhabSpampurse It seems to be working now. There is a bit of a delay between me walking and the game picking up my steps. It seems right at the end of the day though.
@AhabSpampurse I'm an andriod user too. I installed Google Fit as requested by the game, and that's when I started having problems. It tracked my first 10 step as part of the intro. Once I added Google Fit it just stopped tracking me. Maybe my permissions are set up wrong.
@Dragonslacker1 My main issue with this type of game is getting lost and not knowing where to go. I know some people find that enjoyable but it's just frustrating to me. It's why I stopped playing Hollow Knight and a few others. I really wish there was a hints option in these games.
Dread is my first 2d Metroid game. I've played about an hour of it and I totally suck, but I'm enjoying it anyway. I hope sales will mean we get more Metroid games in the future.
@Snatcher I agree with you, but I'm also happy they are pushing the game so much. Maybe this will be the big breakout Metroid game that makes Nintendo care more about the franchise.
The first and only console I got on import as it took a while to release in Europe. Maybe one of my fav console of all time. It felt like Nintendo (and other dev) were more willing to experiment with games and ideas.
@Warbeard Man, you really want to die on this hill don't you?
Did you ever stop to think that it's not just LGBTQ+ who want to play games with queer characters and story elements? I have plenty of straight friends and allies who like having these stories and romance options. They like to see the world from other perspectives and embrace diversity. It's not just LGBTQ+ who turn up to gay pride or care about representation.
On the negative side, it's always the same people having a problem with these pieces. Always trying to find new ways to say the exact same negative things.
On the plus side, I just found the 'ignore' button.

If we have a Direct this month then there is no reason for them to attend. If we don't get a Direct soon then they are really struggling.
