Modding within the Super Smash Bros. community isn't anything new, for fans have been creating an array of in-game tweaks for years now - such as altering physics engines or reskinning characters as a whole. The most notable of the bunch is 'Project M'; this is a mod of Nintendo Wii's Super Smash Bros. Brawl that focused the game to play more like its predecessors, as well as bringing in a slew of returning and new characters.

With that said, a group of dedicated fans are currently working on a mod to bring Dragon Ball Z's Goku to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. From the happenings of the great internet, Goku seemed to be a hot fan favourite in 2015's Smash Fighter Ballot (although this writer personally feels there are more deserving characters than the Kamehameha master), and modder KevintheH is making this an unofficial reality. He has replaced Ryu's character model with that of Goku's, while Super Mega Buster 123 Win64 Gigabyte and Nanobuds cleaned it up with more polished textures. ShadowLuigi_NG has breathed further life into the character via voice packs.

Check out the video below and let us know your thoughts. It should be noted that the mod is currently in its beta stage and is not yet finished, plus it's technically naughty. Maybe we should look but not play.
