I seem to be in the minority, but Dark Souls is one of the worst games I've ever had the misfortune of playing.

Might finally spring for Okami HD.

@KoopaTheQuick I'm generally not skilled enough for scrolling shooters (especially the retro, one hit = death type). This one's quite doable for me, but it's important to start on the easiest difficulty. There's kind of a NG+ where you just do the campaign again in the next difficulty, and the game is balanced with that in mind. That said, there are a few difficulty spikes here and there (which usually means you gotta optimize your ship and guns).

My favorite Dec release was Jets 'n' Guns, nice side-scrolling shooter! Only 7 bucks or so.

Pokemon and zelda are 6/10 games. Astral Chain is a worthy winner though

I think this is a prime example of how dumb the general gaming audience is. Having more of something you like is not a bad thing. Mind-boggling how whiny people are about this. The more HK inspired games we get the better! This and Greak looks really nice. HK is a top 5 game of the decade, of course its going to be influential. Also the difference between taking inspiration from and ripping off is lost on a lot of people. In fact, people using "rip off" to describe games is a clear indicator for me not to trust their opinion, as they clearly don't put much thought into them.

I mean yeah, I've said it before. 20$ is a much better price in the current indie landscape, 40$ is really, really pushing things.

Wow I came here so sure that HGSS wasn't in its rightful place at the very top, but look at that! Easily the only Pokemon game I've felt is worth playing at all for the last decade or so.

I recommend avoiding this one. Lion King is notoriously bad, and the Sega version of Aladdin is dreadful. Especially when compared to the SNES Aladdin game, that one is actually solid.

Thanks for keeping us up to date on this issue. As a European resident, I would opt for importing the American version. I did the same with Dragon's Dogma.
