Rumour: New Zelda Series amiibo Might Be On The Way

I'm a mark for Zelda stuff, so yeah I'd buy them. My set of 5 BotW ones have just dispatched.

Majora amiibo I'd buy immediately. The functionality doesn't really bother me, I get amiibo for the figures.

It could also be that their primary function will be for another game that hasn't yet been announced, with these three amiibo set to be released around the time that game is released.

It's also worth noting that all five of the Zelda related Smash Bros. amiibo are also listed, suggesting they will have individual functionality as well... along with a common amiibo entry, suggesting that all other amiibo will just have a generic function.

Give me a Fierce Deity Link amiibo and it's a day one buy for me!

Haven't been able to order the Guardian, or both Link's from this new collection. Excited that we might be getting amiibo of other Link's...maybe we can get Link's from the 2D games and have a complete set!

Though technically we have a Twilight Princess figure from the smash series...then again we had Wind Waker Link from Smash too but that never stopped them!

Nice catch. Of course that's been confirmed and documented in videos. If you're interested to see what all the Smash Zelda amiibo do, and all other amiibo, a quick Google search should do the trick

@Baker1000 there is a 2D (will kind of) Amiibo for Link already

Also looking at the list above, there is no Sheik or Gannondorf mentioned

@DragonEleven I'd wager a guess that it'll be Skyward Sword HD. It's the next logical remake and let's face it, now the Joy-Con can effectively act like Wii Motion Plus enabled Wii Remotes, it makes a lot of sense. Not sure if they'd release it in the same year as BotW however, what with the DLC keeping BotW current for a bit longer. Wouldn't surprise me though.

Are people still falling over themselves to buy amiibo? I gave up after the first 3 months and only have the ones I want as collectables. Crazy money to try buy them all. I haven't bought a new one since chibi robo and I don't intend to buy anymore ever again.

I would love to see Link on a Loftwing from Skyward Sword much like Link on the horse from Breath of the Wild but anyways YES I would buy them all gotta lot love for my amiibo collection especially my Zelda ones.

I'm buying them as decorations for my shelf anyways, but can we please get an update for Hyrule Warriors/Legends that adds proper functionality for the Toon Zelda and Young Link amiibo?

Of course they will be sold. It would be quiet stupid not to. I'm not buying any Amiibo.. just not my thing. Sorry Nintendo i guess you can't buy everyone buhahaahha

That'd be cool but I stopped buying amiibos because they do almost nothing interesting and they take up too much room. I love the look of them, and if I were like 15 years younger I'd probably try to collect them all. But as an adult in his 30s with other priorities these will just sit on a shelf and take up room. Plus the money I'd spend on them is money I could buy games with.

@invictus4000 It'd likely be $16 now. The price of amiibo keeps going up.

@setezerocinco I'm sorry to say this, but if they were gonna add functionality for new amiibo that late, they'd have done so in one of the DLC update patches. My guess is that the amiibo will arrive sooner than that.

I love Zelda amiibo, but the number of these is getting ridiculous.

@2CUTE4YOU they usually are more expensive on launch and when they are very rare to find, otherwise, you can find even for $ 6 on amazon.

Do they all have to be Link? I mean some other character like other Zeldas (Skyward's Zelda would be day one purchase for me), Ganons, side characters, etc. would be more fun.

But since these Zelda amiibo are clearly selling, those'll probably made eventually too.... XD

@setezerocinco That's what I mean; the fact that the functionality is already coded in implies that the amiibo might be released soon, meaning you and your kidney are gonna take a trip to the black market in the near future.

Too many Links. I have the Smash series, Wolf Link from Twilight HD bundle, and I did get the pixel Link to match my pixel Marios, but seriously. I've already stumbled across Ocarina Link as well as the Windwaker Toon Link/Zelda combo set while browsing at Gamestop so not sure why those are considered leaks when they are already on store shelves. Do we really need clones of Link and Zelda from nearly every game in the series? I'd rather collect Amiibo figures for NPCs and other characters from the franchise. I also reserved a Guardian because that thing is Boss. Who doesn't want a tentacle monster Amiibo with posable arms?

Just postingba warning, for everyone who dont like spoilers l, dont search for zelda on youtube. Someon is leaking all the stuff on youtube (cutscenes) story, gameplay, Nintendo is blocking him but he keeps coming back with a different name. So yeah dont go searching on youtube, just wait lol.

I would buy them for sure! I want the outfits and weapons I like free stuff in games xD but that's not the only reason. I <3 the zelda series in general and want to eventually own every amiibo. T^T It is just difficult to keep up with out a steady income.
