Hey look, another low effort port coming from Namco Bandai that doesn’t even take advantage of the retro compatibility of the switch 2 … shocking.

Gotta give love to Sin & Punishment on the wii cause I feel most people will forget about that gem.

About that part on 1rst party releases. Are we really comparing the entire 1rst year of og switch to the first 4 months of the switch 2 … that’s a false equivalence.

It’s wild that it is kinda controversial to say Pokémon should be up to the same standard of quality as other Nintendo bigger franchises on the exact same console …

Kudos for most people being content with
" Just Good Enough" from the most lucrative media franchise in history.

Great review it really gave a good idea of what to expect. I’m feeling from it like the game maybe lacks ambition which is kinda to be expected for Pokemon at this point but let’s hope the next Legend title combines the good elements of Arceus and Z-A because the potential for something excellent is there.

To me it’s clear the main public for this compilation are the non gamers families who will go see the Super Mario Galaxy Movie in theatre, hence the price that’s a bit expensive for us gamers who already played them. And it’s a great strategy when the 1rst trailer will drop and people will be hyped there’s already gonna a game in store.

Koei Tecmo developing means this could be a finished /not rushed game unlike the main Game Freak ones. Exciting !

Funny how people are complaining now but it’ll still end up being a best seller.

People have been blinded by nostalgia with Pokemon a long time ago already. I’ll wait to buy the game used cause this franchise doesn’t deserve to be bought brand new.

Probably at least 1 more OG Switch for 2026. Yoshi Wooly World would be an easy choice but I’d prefer to see a dormant franchise being brought back like Wario land shake it / kid Icarus uprising

Probably 1-2 Switch 2 editions games will be announced. Pikmin 4/ Paper Mario thousand year door would be great candidates.

The fire emblem three house team didn’t work on engage; their new game must be ready by now.

As far as Mario game, while a new 3d Mario is too early. I think a Mario sport (Baseball is most likely), Mario Maker 3 is possible. I’d buy a full remaster of galaxy 2 personally. Luigi Mansion 4 I could see get announced.

I could see a teaser for the new Monolith soft Ip or even Animal Crossing as a

The promotion for this game has been really bad. It’s like they don’t have anything interesting to say about it.

There’s a new Zelda every year, for the last 3 we’ve had new 3d, new 2d, new Warriors (this year) I’d say that’s a lot better than the rerelease of a rerelease. 🙂

Make more ethical purchases, support devs like Cd Projekt. Sucks for us but that’s what we have to do.

You want a Ubisoft style open world, here’s 30 + on a bunch of different platforms. BOTW and TOTK; there’s nothing that really compares to them.

When Switch 2 launch we better have some verifications on if it can really fit in a pocket 😝

@Jeronan Since 10-ish years Nintendo strategy with Zelda seems to have been releasing 1 game every year including the Warriors and spin-offs. Just because this year it’s Warriors 3 doesn’t mean it might not happen next year or later on 🙂

@DonJorginho I also thinks it’s really ugly to resell the games for a high price but like … any smart person will just buy a used copy of the switch version and pay the small fee for the upgrade. It’s gonna be the affordable solution.

@BlackenedHalo Games like Mario Odyssey or Link’s awakening will have free updates, IF there’s a substantial amount of work that was made (like Kirby getting what’s seems like the equivalent of a big dlc) I don’t think having to pay a small amount is that bad personally.

@cra1g0s I don’t think family/people on a budget necessarily needs a brand new console/ games to be happy. Like yes obviously that’s really fun to have what’s current but the original switch will probably become more affordable and there’s a large catalogue of great games that can be found at good price both new and used.

To me there’s still a lot of worth to be found in games that have been already released even compared to new stuff.

If it makes games that otherwise wouldn’t have release on the console make it to switch 2 im fine with that.

Looking at old adverts of Super Nintendo / Sega Genesis games back in the days the games where 50-60 US$ back then.

Nowadays development costs is a lot more higher it’s not really comparable. Plus inflation.

Buying in less quantity and not over consuming is always kinda good too lol.

Aside from obvious remake (looking at you Fire emblem) , ports and remasters I don’t think it’s too far fetch to expect new games from less ambitious franchises.

Stuff like Rythm Heaven, Wario land, Mario baseball.

We’ve seen in recent years that Nintendo isn’t afraid to dust off those smaller franchises like Endless ocean, Another Code, Famicom Detective club etc

My theory is it’s a way to rework Pokémon models / animations.

I know Symphonia is a fan favorite but I would have prefer so much more Tales of Rebirth or the director’s cut of Destiny + 2

Hopefully they already started working in improved models of Pokémon for Nintendo’s next console. I feel like the next big thing is Pokémons having texture. It doesn’t have to be super realistic but since they are animals I want to see fur, scales, feathers etc

Im happy but I would have preferred so much more Rebirth, Destiny DC/2. There’s so many Tales of left in Japan.

I feel like the cost of switch cartridges is the true reason we never had Nintendo Select on switch and never will.

Another gimmick that will be put in the trash can next games but this time pokemon haves ugly hats.

It’s awesome but don’t expect a physical version for P5 people. The Royal version on ps4 is 30gb

@Giancarlothomaz Developing a game on a portable console that is not even HD (gen 5 is not even 3d it’s 2D sprite based) is NOT comparable to developing on a HD console, especially in the case of an open-world from a studio who have no experience making them.

One thing I feel people might not be aware enough is that open world games takes a lot of time to do and this really will be Game Freak 1rst open world game. 3 years since Sword/Shield is not enough. Cautiously pessimistic.

@Giancarlothomaz but developing on 3ds takes a lot less ressources and time than on an HD console especially this new one being an open-world

A studio with no experiences making semi- open world game made 2 of them in 3 years ? I’m really doubtful this will not be rushed.
