This game is rated 18 and the trailer above has some brief nudity, though it is not age-gated on YouTube.
We've shared a few updates on Tormented Souls throughout the year, with publisher PQube along with development teams at Dual Effect and Abstract Digital Works showcasing its brand of horror gaming. One of its selling points is fixed perspective camera angles, bringing back gameplay familiar from older Resident Evil and Silent Hill titles.
Previously 'TBC' for Switch, it is now confirmed to be on the way in early 2022; in fact its product page for the physical edition sets the date for 25th February.
As a reminder you can see a bit of story description below, while user reviews on Steam since its August release have been very positive.
Return to Winterlake Mansion this Halloween and re-experience the terrors of Tormented Souls. Led to the small, isolated town of Winterlake, something terrible happens to Caroline Walker. Waking in the dead of night, naked and alone, hooked up to decrepit medical equipment, Caroline must fight for her life as she explores the halls of the abandoned mansion.
As the previous inhabitants run amok, you must scavenge essential resources and tools to decipher clues and create a variety of weapons to protect yourself from the darkness within.

Definitely picking this up as it looks like Resident Evil Remake and Resident Evil 0.
Looks pretty good, and has a very Resident Evil feel to it, which is always good in my book.
It's a big nope from me (lol)
Looks quite promising. I've always been a fan of the fixed camera in the older RE games, gave them a very cinematic feel, and allowed for more detailed environments that otherwise would've been impossible at the time. It looks like the camera actually moves and tracks with your character in this though.
The demo on Steam was really good, controls took a little adjusting to when changing screens/camera, but the atmosphere was definitely there. Hopefully the Switch version will run well as I'll definitely be getting this.
About 2-3 hours into the Steam version (first play through) and it's really, really good. One of the better recent survival horror games that has fixed camera angles etc.
This game is great... if you like old school horror games. If you miss fixed camera titles like og RE, Silent Hill and such definitely get this. I don't know how well it'll run on Switch but like Luigi's Mansion 3, it should be decent.
Brilliant game. As soon as the menu music chimes in with the familiar "explicit scenes of violence and gore" warning, you know your in for some Resi-Remake-Gamecube-esque action. It really does feel like its made by the same people and looks stunning on PC in 4K. One or two annoying puzzles (that are necessary to progress) with random solutions were the only downside for me.
Very cool. Really looking forward to trying this out, since it seems like one of the few indie horror games made by people who understand the appeal of Japanese survival horror.
The game itself is great and plays like a mix of classic RE and Silent Hill (1 and 3 especially). As long as the Switch port is decent I can wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone that appreciates this style of games.
Fantastic game! Really liked it. I recommend it if you like classic survival horror games.
This game looks perfect for an original Resident Evil fan, I have been watching a YouTuber play it lately and it is almost exactly like that, with modern visuals comparable to the RE Remake.
This game is made by people from my country (Chile) and we are really proud of how well pleople have recieved it
I was planning on picking up the steam version soon, it looks great and reviewed pretty well.
Nailed the original RE1 style VA
Looks like a must buy for me
Watches full trailer of violent, horrific imagery
"Brief nudity?!"
This game originally had the physical release listed for a few weeks after its pc/ps5 release date. It also said it was coming out on everything digitally at the same time. I had it pre-ordered, then right before the date of the physical release they switched it to Feb 22. Hopefully that doesn't change. Either way, I already played it in Steam. Great game.
Looks great. Btw, we need a petition for doom wireless local multiplayer.
