Re: Fall of Light: Darkest Edition - A Shambling Dark Souls Wannabe You'll Want To Avoid

I feel like this review taught me more about other games than it did the title being reviewed. I get that's it's easy to compare to other games but I wish this game would have been reviewed on its own merits and left the reader with a comprehensive idea of the games mechanics, shortcomings and what the game does well, not just a bunch of talk on how dark souls does it better....even in the title. I guess I expect more from Nintendolife. At least I used to

Re: Cosmic Star Heroine Dev Explains Its "Frustrating" Experience Working With Nintendo

DownRightSam

I mean it's one of 100s of me games they are making store pages for , it sounds like their troubles are not a common experience. Because Nintendo gives some games visibility , doesnt mean their game is entitled to it. I get they are frustrated but some of that is misplaced and whining is definitely not gonna get me to buy their game. Market your game, make it stand, put it on sale. Don't blame Nintendo for not marketing your game for you

Re: Review: Salt and Sanctuary (Switch eShop)

Ok after putting ten or so hours into it I can't believe it scores so low here. It's fantastic. Also there are facts in the review that are just wrong. He straight up says you can go anywhere from the beginning and nothing it strictly barring you from progressing. Pretty sure that's a ridiculous statement to make. There are literal bars barring you requiring progression through bosses etc....to unlock new paths. I'm beginning to wonder how much of this game the reviewer actually played

@Fighter_Hayabusa the content of the review disagrees with the score too. Reading the review seems pretty darn positive even though the reviewer uses dark souls as a crutch too often in it. I was surprised by the score given all the praise within the review itself

Re: Parent Trap: I Really Miss The Nintendo Wii

I love the Wii. It is one of my favorite systems. I miss the pointer controls of Wii games, on rails shooter, the awesome virtual console. Great motion control games like red steel 2. I mean it had a lot of shovelware but it had a lot of great exclusive content too.

The last great capcom fighter was on Wii, too.

Re: Critically Acclaimed The Witness Probably Won't Make It To Switch Despite Recent Mobile Ports

I'm not a big fan of blow. Braid is way overhyped and the witness was interesting but overall felt way too pretentious and tried way too hard to be weird and thought provoking. It reminded me if a junior college art major and a philosophy major made a game before they got their degrees.
Witness would find a good home on switch and I bet the port would be easily handled but I'm pretty sure Blow just doesn't want to be on Nintendo platforms.
