I feel like this review taught me more about other games than it did the title being reviewed. I get that's it's easy to compare to other games but I wish this game would have been reviewed on its own merits and left the reader with a comprehensive idea of the games mechanics, shortcomings and what the game does well, not just a bunch of talk on how dark souls does it better....even in the title. I guess I expect more from Nintendolife. At least I used to
World is the watered down, hand holding experience catered to the casual crowd. It's good at what it does but it doesn't hold a candle to the deeper traditional games in my opinion.
@Djgoa I wouldn't say that. Nintendolife also gave salt and sanctuary a 6/10 and it's the best indie I've played in years. This looks intriguing and different, at least.
I mean it's one of 100s of me games they are making store pages for , it sounds like their troubles are not a common experience. Because Nintendo gives some games visibility , doesnt mean their game is entitled to it. I get they are frustrated but some of that is misplaced and whining is definitely not gonna get me to buy their game. Market your game, make it stand, put it on sale. Don't blame Nintendo for not marketing your game for you
Ok after putting ten or so hours into it I can't believe it scores so low here. It's fantastic. Also there are facts in the review that are just wrong. He straight up says you can go anywhere from the beginning and nothing it strictly barring you from progressing. Pretty sure that's a ridiculous statement to make. There are literal bars barring you requiring progression through bosses etc....to unlock new paths. I'm beginning to wonder how much of this game the reviewer actually played
Salt and sanctuary. This game is amazing. It may become my favorite indie . It captures the gameplay loop and foreboding atmosphere of souls games perfectly but also adds it's own charms and quirks. I'm hooked right now
@quinnyboy58 once you're fighting tough bosses and have a full party, the combat is non stop action in xc2. If you want to pull off chains, burst, combos it's pretty much the most engaging battle system I have ever played
Towards the article, wasn't xc2 developed by like 43 only people ?
Dang. Desperate for clicks? Cartoon monkey looks like another cartoon monkey a little. Let's click bait to make people think it's a rip off.its not, just slow news and "journalists" gotta get hits to stay relevant
@Fighter_Hayabusa the content of the review disagrees with the score too. Reading the review seems pretty darn positive even though the reviewer uses dark souls as a crutch too often in it. I was surprised by the score given all the praise within the review itself
I mean I feel kind of bad for the people who lost money because this guy made a bad choice. Yall acting like it was his personsl 400 million bucks. Dude is investing other people's money, right?
I love the Wii. It is one of my favorite systems. I miss the pointer controls of Wii games, on rails shooter, the awesome virtual console. Great motion control games like red steel 2. I mean it had a lot of shovelware but it had a lot of great exclusive content too.
@Vlad it was a huge patch. They got rid of the random pinatas/loot box for character unlocks. You just choose which character to unlock now in whatever order you want.
They tweaked and balanced a lot and made single player and multi more enjoyable.
This game is sooo much better after they updated and patched it. It should honestly be re-reviewed. It's a pretty darn good game now, they adredded most of my issues with the launch version
I'm not a big fan of blow. Braid is way overhyped and the witness was interesting but overall felt way too pretentious and tried way too hard to be weird and thought provoking. It reminded me if a junior college art major and a philosophy major made a game before they got their degrees. Witness would find a good home on switch and I bet the port would be easily handled but I'm pretty sure Blow just doesn't want to be on Nintendo platforms.
@NiaBladerunner ok thank you. I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees this lol. I can point a out his articles before even clicking on them. It's tainting this site a little imo
Did Nintendo actually sensor it or did the devs decide to place a different picture up? Sounds like assumptions were made here, and due diligence was not done. Whatever gets you clicks though, right?
I feel like this article is glorifying a really horrible trend of calling developers lazy. Bugs happen , but I'm willing to bet these devs aren't lazy.
@gamerchick_22 cloud saves, online play, access to a library of classic games. If you don't want any of that, don't buy it. It's dirt cheap though. 20 bucks a year is a steal
I am very excited about this. I played for a few hundred hours on ps4 when it launched. Great free to play system . You can make great in game money selling rare drops but I still enjoyed it so much I spent like 40 bucks just go support the devs

Played a couple games of paladins. I dig it!
Xenoblade 2 is forever my favorite switch game. It just keeps on giving.
Ys viii is unique and very fun. I like the idea of building your castaway village on the island and the heavy focus on exploration.

The last great capcom fighter was on Wii, too.
