In April, we revealed a retail version of the tactical turn-based strategy RPG trilogy Mercenaries Saga Chronicles would be arriving on shelves this summer. Circle Entertainment, PM Studios and acttil media have now confirmed the physical release will be made available on 11th September.
Just like the Switch eShop release, the physical version will contain Mercenaries Saga: Will of the White Lions, Mercenaries Saga 2: Order of the Silver Eagle, and Mercenaries Saga 3: Gray Wolves of War. The three games were originally released on mobile devices and the 3DS.
The PR made no mention of regions or pricing, but this announcement appears to be for the North American release, with the game currently listed for pre-order on Amazon for $39.99.

As interesting as this looks, my money still belongs to xenoblade's expansion pass.
It's 14.99 on eshop....That's a steep tax
I have a weakness for rpg games, so naturally I have a copy preordered. But my game backlog is so thick I doubt I'll get around to this in years.
@DownRightSam My thoughts exactly. I almost preordered it today until I realised it was nearly thrice the price of the eShop version. Going to pass on this one I believe.
If I knew there were going to be a physical release I would had waited, will time to rebuy again.
@retro_player_22 Physical release was announced forever ago. I've had it preorder on Amazon for months.
That is a very boring cover
Looks like Final Fantasy Tactics.
@fungusar agree. Your comment made me think of the times I’d save up to buy a game and pour over every detail of the box and manuals. Sometimes I’d buy a game just based on the cover, often regretting that choice lol.
I made it through maybe half of the first game before the lack of variety and the generic story did me in. Tactics are good, but it gets stale after awhile knowing you are playing a game that is broken storywise.
@Tim_Vreeland Maybe not when the digital versions were released. Oh well.
@DownRightSam well you have to pay for the cartridge too.
Great! Happy to pay more then double (the digital cost) for a physical copy
@fungusar The games have pretty dull presentation too. Even the characters look bored in Pride of the White Lions, the first one.
I feel like these will be a hard sell now that Disgaea 1 and WarGroove are getting closer and Into the breach has already released (God, that game is even more addictive than FTL).
Now released in NA. Still no mention of EU. damn it! Dont wanne import if i dont have too
