I love how an article based specifically on the Nintendo versions of games references the FMV scenes in Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero that were only on the Playstation version and didn't exist in the N64 version.
When I started working at the company I am at now, I was hired through an agency as a contract employee. Everyone else in the department that I worked with for 6 months was a full time employee hired directly by the company. That in no way made me an employee of the company in any sense. After my 6 months was up, they then made me an offer to work there as an employee, and at that time, I actually became an employee of the company.
It doesn't matter who he worked alongside or what his job duties were. The headline is more than inaccurate, it's completely wrong.
@Yosher No. Yhey just can't get on the eShop's top seller list if their pricing is below $1.99. But companies can still price their games lower (down to free) if they would like to.
"While we're not expecting much on the Nintendo front, at least we'll always have Cloud and Sepiroth in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. If you've not played this game yet, what are you waiting for? It's a must-play if you're a fan of RPGs."
@Damo Piracy 100% impacts the video game business? As Frailbay30 was saying, the overall percentage of hackers amongst the entire user base is pretty small. And you think that every single game that they download illegally was a game they were actually going to purchase legitimately until they found this way to get them for free?
I agree that Nintendo should shut these places down, because no one should be getting these games for free. But I think to say that even 5% of piracy effects the video game business, let alone 100%, is extremely naive.
@mandlecreed Ryan got called out on his article from yesterday about the "error" in the Arcade Archives Super Mario Bros. game. The error from his article was fixed four days after its release 4 years ago, but he couldn't be bothered to look into it that deeply I guess.
Now it seems he can't even be bothered to read his own co-worker's reviews.
"Today sees the launch of Nintendo's latest Game & Watch system – yeah, we still can't believe we're saying this in 2021 either"
They released a Game & Watch in 2020 for a major franchise anniversary, but you really can't believe that they would do the same thing just 1 year later?
@MrFred89 I'm just trying to understand why unoriginality is getting praise around here. The only articles I've seen about this game are ones where people just recreated other games.
Where's all the awesome things people came up with on their own?
Is it really talent just to copy something that already exists? Wouldn't the real talent lie with the people that created the original?
And speaking of original, does anyone even use this thing to create their own stuff? Or is NintendoLife only interested in the players that can't come up with their own ideas?
@tseliot It’s not deterioration, it’s a proven mechanical defect due to the parts used and the way it is assembled. There are many documented reports and videos (check out YouTube) that show the problem.
I like the new direction this site is taking. I can't wait to find out what other games won't be coming to the Switch. I just hope they make an individual report for every single one.
There should have been questions about their names from the cartoon series. Supposedly when the Super Mario Bros. 3 cartoon was being made, the Koopalings didn't have official names yet, so the cartoon producers had to make them up for the cartoon.
That's how they got the names Cheatsy (Larry), Bully (Roy), Big Mouth (Morton), Kootie-Pie (Wendy), Kooky Von Koopa (Ludwig), Hip (Lemmy) and Hop (Iggy).
"The official artwork that accompanied the release of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link featured a hero with the same yellow band around his cap as the in the original NES game."
That's because it's the same Link. He was questing in this one to save a different Zelda, one that had been put to sleep long ago, and is the whole basis for why the series is called The Legend of Zelda.
Of course, Nintendo's "timeline" kind of messed up that whole story point.
Anyone that wants this game can just download Flow, Flow Bridges, Flow Hexagons, and Flow Warps to their phone. Between those four games (there might be more versions as well), they'll get several thousands of puzzles exactly like this for free.
@BarefootBowser So the effects of his actions on the 99 other players in those games don't matter? It's ok to ruin other peoples experience simply because it's not a tournament and he's doing it for entertainment purposes?
It's ridiculous you think he's more important than anyone else simply because he makes YouTube videos.
"Unfortunately, this offer appears to be limited to North America, so if you live outside of this region, don't expect to make any savings"
It's very well known that anybody can make an eshop account for any region. It's been mentioned on this very sight numerous times. Why would you write this?
Flow is the same game on mobile, and you get over 1000 levels for free. Not to mention all the variations you can also download for free, Flow Warps, Flow Bridges, and Flow Hexes.
This is cool and all, but this sensationalist reporting is ridiculous. A second person doing this means these things are "all the rage"? This is now a trend?
Annihilation may have been dog crap, but they somehow captured movie magic with that Sonya/Mileena fight in the mud that keeps my eyes glued to the screen.

Re: Talking Point: Which Other Mega Man Games Could Come To Switch?
They should put the 5 GB games and the 2 Xtreme games together in a handheld legacy collection.
And put Network Transmission and Battle Chip Challenge together with the 3 Star Force games.
Re: Review: Fire Emblem Engage - Relationships Get Sidelined By A Thrilling Combat-First Focus
I love how the most complained about aspect of Three Houses is now a con because it's no longer included.

@RareFan I don't think jokes about knocking women out and taking them home go over so well in this day and age.
Re: Review: Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium - Captures That Arcade Magic In A Quality Package
What's the free game that comes with the download?
And why did they make this a separate release and not just add these to the first Capcom Stadium?

Re: Soapbox: Can We Please Retire The Phrase 'Lazy Devs' Already?
Some bad timing on this article release. Only a few days before GTA Trilogy got released, which is probably the epitome of a game made by lazy devs.

Yes, if you exclude the very first game in the series, than the second game becomes the very first game in the series.
