C'mon guys, it's ok to like different things. I'm not a huge fan fan of the "chibi" art style but it does have it's appeal. Sometimes simplicity is better. I do like how GameFreak (and IILCA) has been diversifying their game engines as of late. (It's better than the optemization issues and creative setbacks that resulted come from of endless asset flipping)

As long as these remakes are about as challenging and cintent-filled as the original I'll be content. There are ways to counter-balance a manditory exp share, which other JRPGs have already shown. I don't expect it to be as hard as other JRPGs but I do want enough of a challenge to be fun. As a kid, I would have killed for a mandotory exp share, trying to manage ny party was a nightmare. Long story short, it's too early to say how much of an effect the EXP share will have, we only have tge gane Freak games to go off of, which may seem like a bad sign but SwSh did nerf it significantly.

I hope there will be platnium content, but even more than that I want there to be new surprises to keep me on my toes. Even if there aren't any I know I can enjoy this game for what it is. Nostolgia alone makes these games worth $60 to me.

Different people value different things in different ways, who's to say if an idea is good or bad for someone else? If it's not worth $60 to you, I respect that. These two thingsvare true, it's ok to expect more from pokemon games and it's ok to appreciate the magic despite their flaws.

So OG switch is still outselling the OLED mpdel? is that because of price or Supply chain?

"you'll likely be disapointed" is overstating it a bit don't you think? You gave the game an 8 after all.

If we award a game an eight, you can be sure if you like the genre this is a sound buy for you. Minor niggling factors or a badly judged difficulty spike may have made this game fall short of a nine, but it is not to be dismissed lightly.

Gameplay aside, some of the assests make it obvious how dated Pokemon GO is.

@GannonBanned already have, they can refresh characarter copyright every time they use the character in media.

However content with mickey in it (Plane Crazy) will go into the public domain Jan 2024. Which just means content creators can just just show part or all of that short in their own media, Royalty free. (Disney isn't missing out on much)

Even when steamboat willy hit's public domain... If the mouse continues to postpone copyright just to, I dunno... prevent the production of bootleg merchindise? That would just be a petty move at this point

In fact, considering how obscure their earlier media was/has-become (with maybe the exception of fantasia) they could probably hold off until 1945, and lose very litttle, at this point. (Might even restore popularity a bit and might even save tgem money.

@abdias technically they're all V-Game characters because they're characters in a V-game... Also one of them appears to be brand new, exclusive to this game.

@Bret True but thisis a Nintendo news site. If the game isn't confirmed to be coming to switch, "it's a smash-bro's-like" is hardly justification to report on rumors.

Given the evidence Nintendo telling the truth seems more likely to me.

If bloomberg is mistaken this is't a widesspread conspiracy, more like a collaboartive effort to spread misinformation.

Nintendo made it clear that they are dispelling the rumors so their investors aren't mislead. If Nintendo was misleadinmg their investors how would that look on record?

As impressive as these polls look for nintendo, I would keep in mind the audience of nintendolife (predominantly Nintendo enthusiests) and know these polls are a means of promoting site engagement rather than a representation of the gaming market as a whole.

Infernape is a go to simply b/c type distribution in the originals but all three are solid options. (Empoleon is the worst choice for rival battles b/c it only gains more disadvatages against torterra upon both reaching their final evo)

@Grumblevolcano crystal versokn sold terribly b/c no one wanted/could affoerd to play johtoh a second time, back then. Moreover "i'll wait for the upgraded version" wasn't a thing yet.

SwSh already has sold better than GS (crystal excluded) and if you count DLC sales as seperate units it most definitely outsold Gen 2 entirely.

By the time legends rolls out gen 8 might easily be the best selling generation of all time

Innocous quuestion: are you aware that item upgrades are a resouurce system not an exp system?

Maybe the reason upgrading is so hard becasuse you just didn't know how tto upgrade them (X -> battle prep -> held items -> <select item> -> upgrade.) You cann also exchange tickets for item enhancesrs in thevAos emporium Or maybe you already knew that and I'm being completely unhelpfull.🙃
