Pokémon GO developer Niantic's Pikmin smartphone game finally has a name: Pikmin Bloom.
The name was leaked a few hours ago and reported on by an unofficial Twitter account related to the game.
The post reports that the name was added to the Test Flight version of the app on iOS. Test Flight, in case you didn't know, is Apple's system of allowing app developers to grant access to beta versions of apps to testers and reviewers.
Back in August, we reported that Nintendo was still teasing a 2021 release for the game. It is believed that it will follow a similar format to the wildly-successful Pokémon GO.

Where's Pikmin 4!? Miyamoto said it was done at the end of the Wii U's cycle and still nothing.
I'm interested in knowing what you have to do. Hopefully it's not walking to Pikmi-stops and throwing Pikmiballs at Pikmin lol.

They should release it soon. Winter is coming.
The June - September 2021 Nintendo earnings results is on November 4th so we'll likely get an official announcement close to then (Nintendo likes to do mobile announcements surrounding earnings results to satisfy investors).

@Wadeimous Pikmin 4 is the new Metroid Dread; you won't be seeing it for another 20 years. =P
Seriously though, hopefully actual Pikmin 4 will be a thing in the near future.
@Meteoroid Where did you get that? Miyamoto stated that to Eurogamer, but then Nintendo came out and reconfirmed it again themselves. So 2 bad translations? I don't think so.

I find it’s not as interactive as Pokémon GO! Like there’s nothing to “battle”, just collect fruit, Pikmin and plant flowers. But it’s a nice simple game, uses the same Pokéstop areas, I’m already level 45. Wish I wasn’t in such a remote area, if only to get more unique Pikmin.
I just want to see sweet ground graphics in Pikmin that aren’t rooted in the Wii development era..
@GrailUK my guess is it will somehow be closer to wizardsunite in some regards. Eg. Throwing pikmin at bulborbs to add them to your spoilscollection.
In which case, pokestops will probably be replaced with onions.

@Meteoroid I don't exactly agreed, but I think the plans change somehow and that game become something else or they simply dropped. Anyway, it wasn't a rumor, it's told by him. He should go public and explain.
@thiz completely different stories. Metroid Prime Trilogy was told in (many) rumors, Pikmin 4 was told by Miyamoto himself.
@thiz understand, but Metroid Prime Trilogy for Switch we don't know if it's even exist. There is an article here in Nintendo Life where someone how work on Metroid Prime 3 told he thinks it's very unlikely they ever port it. In Pikmin case I don't believe they're holding this as a comple game for so Long time. It become something else or restart and someone should told us about it.

Pikmin Bloom might be a closed beta sort of deal, so you might not get to play it but it's worth looking into.

Nope, there are no “enemies” of any sort to fight, and “Pokéstops” are flowers you make bloom by giving nectar and walking near them. Nectar is gathered by collecting fruit or shop purchase using in game currency.
What ever happened to that Niantic Catan game?

I understand the need for clicks, and you included it in the second line (kind of), but for the love of all good things don't use a clickbait headline. Just say "Pikmin Mobile Game by Niantic to be titled Pikmin Bloom".

@locky-mavo ... It wasn't officially announced when I posted it, i was making an educated guess with the information I had.
Also historically all of niantics games began "pacifist" and add combat mechanics later.
