Still got my PS2 Slim with GTA Vice City and Red Dead Revolver. GTA games on Nintendo consoles are like trying to play Wutang Clan at a kids party ๐
Further proof downvotes and bad emulation don't matter. People want the Switch because it's the cool thing to show off, like a new pair of Jordans or an iPhone. Of course there are great games but it's portable and interactive. But still, what can they do next that doesn't involve bringing their online infrastructure into the present?
Got a free N64 from my girlfriend and picked up an ED64+ with the entire N64 library including romhacks. All for the $60 and it's all mine! No going online or worrying about frame rates or badly mapped controllers.
He's been pulling the same ๐ฉ since the days of Pier Solar, a very mediocre attempt at a JRPG for the Genesis. You can download that garbage anywhere now but I have better things to do... Like find another blue coin in Sunshine ๐
Castlevania and Ghosts n' Goblins had the best NES box art. Batman was lazy and RC Pro-Am was too generic. Donkey Kong Classics should have had a black box NES design, and Wizards & Warriors was killer but made no sense ๐
Just get an RG351P and put the entire GB/GBC/GBA libraries on there. The games would be yours without any stupid subscription service and you would keep your save files long after NSO is dead and gone. Nintendo is never releasing a backlit Gameboy Advance that has rumble support and plays 20 other consoles, but Anbernic does what NintenDONT ๐ ๐ฎ
I enjoy this music more as the soundtrack to the THPS series than I do when I hear it on the radio. Same with the Offspring in Crazy Taxi and the Vice City songs. On their own the songs are ok, but they really give you a nice slice of that era and the feeling of smashing down a halfpipe.
All the best romsites are still running strong, so who cares? Emulation is cool until people start pirating or copying games that are easily purchased at any big brand store and even some smaller ones so Nintendo has every right to do this.
But games like Zelda: Ancient Stone Tablets, AM2R, Pokemon Prism and Super Smash Remix are still easy to find and download. As long as Nintendo stays away from the homebrew scene and lets us download their NES, SNES GB/GBC/GBA, N64 and GC roms then let them waste their money suing trolls in a sea of them ๐
For me it depends on the media. When it comes to music, I prefer high quality digital played through high quality tech, be it a good car stereo or Bluetooth headphones.
For books, I prefer physical as I like to have the thing in my hand and turn the pages, not to mention the sweet smell of a fresh new copy of a comic book I've been waiting for.
For games, I emulate everything on the Wii but use the actual controllers for each console. I also own about 50 physical games for it but rarely open any of them ๐
SMB3 stage 1-1
Mario Kart 64 Lugi's Raceway
Mega Man 2 Metal & Flash Man's stages

A lot of 90s kids stuff got binned way too early or given away for free. When I went to uni my older brother gave away my gba. I never forgave him but that's how people treated old Nintendo stuff before we knew what it was worth ๐ ๐ฎ ๐
NES - Castlevania II SNES - TMNT Tournament Fighter SEGA - Maximum Carnage PSX - Street Fighter EX+Alpha N64 - Cruisin' USA Dreamcast - Sonic Adventure PS2 - Heavenly Guardian GC - Kirby's Air Ride Wii - Donkey Kong Jungle Beat

The original 8-bit Nintendo ๐ still has one of the best and most exhaustive libraries of any console. If you never owned one, or mainly played the games on the NES Classic, here are some you should totally check out (turbo controller and Game Genie optional):
