The House of the Dead: Remake is just a few weeks away on the eShop, bringing the iconic lightgun shooter to the Switch with improved visuals, multiple endings and all sorts of goodies; it lands on 7th April.
Forever Entertainment also previously confirmed that it's teaming up with Microids to release physical editions, and these are now available to pre-order from forever-limited.com. There are three editions all due to ship in '2-6 months', and below are the prices in Euros (pre-shipping):

That exclusive edition looks nice, but my goodness the price. Also no enamel pins, or steelbook?
Has it been confirmed to have gyro controls? If so, then I'm looking forward to it. If not, then what's the point?
@OorWullie Exactly and still to be confirmed, what is the control options for this? I'm sorry but if it is anything other than me pointing my joycon at the screen, it is no purchase from me.
@Hyrule You say "look at the price", but have you seen the price they're asking for shipping out of Poland?
Bold move to release a limited physical print before the reviews are out.
Sega remakes have not had the best track record lately (e.g. Panzer Dragoon, Sonic Colors).
This game is going to shine a light on the limitations of gyro controls. The Wii senor bar with Motion Plus did this kind of game better. Due to the fast-paced action on screen, using a Pro Controller may not be very satisfying.
I'm interested but may just skip this release unless they confirm what the control options will be. Count me out for sure If we can't point the joy con at the screen to aim.
Has Forever Entertainment clarified one way or the other??
@Magician haha I have not but I guess it's extreme. I think I stick with the limidead edition from amazon personally.
Still waiting to hear if there is a lightgun peripheral that I can put my Joy Con in. If so, I'm in. I don't like those cheap "rifle" versions sold on Amazon.
I know NL is a European-based site, but will there be a NA physical version to order from somewhere? Or is importing this EU version the only physical option?
I thought this was already announced...?
That unlimited edition better be true. I hate it when a particular physical game are limited and by the time you want to buy the game it's already gone. Glad that the standard version you could just buy it at any time.
I want a demo so I can play it now 🙏🏻
@Chocobo_Shepherd In my experience with Europe-based limited print companies, they only do EU copies. There is a different US version up for preorder on Amazon, though.
@Chocobo_Shepherd there’s a listing on Amazon that looks like a US release
"Numbered certificate"
What even is that?
@adh56 @TwoTilMidnight thanks so much, guys!!
I hope they did a good job here because it’s one of my favorites! I don’t need gyro controls either I’m used the pad controls all the way back to the Saturn playing original HOTD and Virtua Cop games.
@HammerGalladeBro : Each copy (for the limited editions anyway) are individually numbered.
@joey302 @Duncanballs @OorWullie they confirmed it on their twitter: https://mobile.twitter.com/ForeverEntert/status/1499796334982881288
Just a reminder that the Amazon listing says “ Play alone or with a friend, using joy-cons or a gun”
Don't expect the gyro aiming to be very quick or responsive. It's a far cry from an IR pointer the Wii HOTD games enjoyed.
Also, ugh, as a gamer the phrase "forever limited" is bone-chilling.
@Timptation Yes, the Switch joycons gun maybe.
How much are the guns going to cost?
I'm sure the devs are fully aware that the game will not be good without proper Wii style light gun controls. Enough people respond to their marketing online with questions about controls. The question is whether they are capable or willing to do something to address this. If it is just gyro, I'll stick to my superior Wii version. Perhaps they can patch something in when the game fails to sell? Maybe Nintendo won't allow proper IR pointer controls until after something special is revealed alongside Metroid Prime? Prime is another game I'll skip of it doesn't have decent controls.
@Nintendemon thanks for the link. Back on the purchase list
That lenticular collector's box would have looked amazing in my collection. I'm going to pass since it seems to be EU version.
Was hoping for a bundled Switch Light gun
