Wanted to play the splatfest every free minute BUT I’m on vacation and the Wi-Fi in our flat isn’t even strong enough to get a connection to the switch Luckily I downloaded all the demos from the direct before hitting the road so there’s that and after that there’s still the backlog. So maybe after all I finish Axiom Verge.
Although Rayman Legends and Axiom Verge are almost finished and I’m eager to return to Boarderlands 1 and/or The Witcher I fear I will only play Splatoon 3.
Of course there comes a nerf right after I trained with the sloshing machine for a week as a slasher and became decent. Luckily my other weapons like .52, .96 and Bamboozler got buffs. Also hoping to use Angle shooter more because I like the concept of the sub.
For once I'm early! 🤗 In my current rotation are games like Witcher, Axiom Verge, Bastion and Rayman Legends. But non of them will be played because of Splatoon 3, which I play almost exclusively since release and has Big Run this weekend. The only other game will be River City Girls, because it's time limited for Online members and also amazing 😉 Happy gaming everyone
I'm deep into the end-/postgame of Octopath Traveler. In fact I finished all main stories and side quests. Some secrets aside I did everything except the final challenge. So here's my hope to finish the game this weekend to celebrate its birthday.
After the MH Rise game trial two weeks or so ago got me into my long abandoned copy of MH Generations Ultimate I'm still hunting every day, logged in over 35 hrs now and completed the 2-stars quest. Looking forward to exploring new areas this weekend.
After I played the MH Rise trial until thursday I felt finally able to get into MH Generations which was sitting on my Switch for some time now. So that and of course Mario Kart DLC where I already got both cups on all difficulties but I'm always trying to beat the developer ghosts in time trial on every course so this will be my additional goal.
In my opinion this is a fine choice for a Top 10 but there could be mentioning of the strongest contenders. Not only Xenoblade comes to mind but I expected also Octopath Traveler to be on this list.
Making progress in some unfinished games to cut into the backlog: Horizon Chase Turbo, Axiom Verge, Slime-San and Mario Galaxy from the 3d collection are on the table.
Not a Pokemon guy! But I like watching some Let's plays of the new game. I'm playing the Terraria free trial. I want to see as "much" from the game as I can, although I can't see me getting the full version.
Octopath Traveller: Finishing one more of the 4th chapters ACNH: Designing the 30th vacation home from the DLC and there is an interesting guest on the camping site my son told me.
When I played this christmas I played with my kids. Yesterday we checked in for the toy day event in ACNH, today we got some co-op action in LEGO Harry Potter. Actually managed to organise my backlog and almost to stay away from the sales. I have now a nice list for the start of the new year with games to finish and I'm looking forward to complete it.
Almost finished with Links Awakening. Continuing with Luigis Mansion with my kids. My island in ACNH gets some attention, too. Maybe a little bit of Axiom Verge in between.
Some cruising in Burnout Paradise, some runs in Floor kids and some progress in Axiom Verge and/or Wonder boy. Maybe even a little bit of Harry Potter with my wife or Luigis mansion with the kids.
Working trough Axiom Verge, mixing in the last part of the Let's go Pikachu story and some races in Paradise city and Horizon chase turbo. Also, I rediscovered recently Floor kids.
A mix of games: Axiom Verge, Let's Go Pikachu, Super Mario 64, Floor Kids, Burnout Paradise, Horizon Chase Turbo. A light weekend before I return to the completion of the meaty Octopath Traveler.
Only a few story missions away from finishing AC Black flag. Not sure if I want to 100% it, but I’m not far away so I might as well go for it. After the Indie presentation I also want to start Axiom Verge from my backlog.
Played the SNES at a friends with I think DKC and didn't understand the appeal because I had a SEGA Mega Drive at home and Sonic was everything I ever dreamed of. When the N64 came out I bought it myself day one with Mario 64 and was converted.
Sadly nothing at all since I'm on vacation and my switch is traveling with me but my left joy-con can't connect no more to the console after yesterday.
Just some grinding in Octopath Traveler since I have a big family gathering all weekend. Maybe some rounds of Enter the Gungeon because I finally want to become good at this game.
Attacking the backlog with Octopath Traveler after finally finishing the first game of Ace Attorney Trilogy this week. I'm considering getting Tony Hawk but somehow the price is too high for me although I usually don't care too much.
Additionally I want to try getting into the Metroid series and will start with the offers from Nintendo Online. Also, some training with Samus in Smash.
Completing the first game of the Ace Attorney trilogy is my main priority. Last case is very strange. Then back to Octopath Traveler to clear the last chapters. Maybe some MH Generations.
Finally wrapped up giving the majority of my play time to ACNH as I feel my island is finished after over 800 hrs. Returning to my backlog rotation of AC Black flag, Ace Attorney trilogy, Super Mario 3d All Stars and Borderlands I, Octopath Traveler, Wonder Boy and Let's go Pikachu.
In ACNH, Redd brought this week my last missing artwork, so my museum is finally complete. Also, I got the last DIY from Celeste. So I will give my jungle island the finishing touch and upload the dream adress. After that there's only two things left for me:: getting two or three more "jungle-y" villagers and completing the Nook Miles challenges. When I have enough of designing I will return to AC IV Black flag or Ace Attorney Trilogy.
@theriku260 Totally missed your question, sorry. Until now I’ve only AC I to IV since I stopped buying PlayStation after the PS3. If you’re are interested in the whole background, you’ll have to start with part I, although the main mechanics of the series are not as fleshed out as in the later games. I think AC III is the worst to start with because it’s very difficult to understand the background story without the first two parts. Apart from that I think you can choose the game with the most interesting time period for you. Additionally I heard that the games after the reboot of the series (Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla) are all good.
Half way trough 100% completion of AC 4 Black flag. Very motivated to continue to the end since I'm a big fan of the whole series and this game. Last AC I played was the original part 3 on PS3. Always was on the fence about part 4 and now it's even better than I thought.
Tough question. Had to think about it for a few days. What games are in my top five, so another game can be better to crack it. There are so many games that influenced me and could be there. Sonic 1-3, Mario 64, Banjo-Kazooie, Mario Kart, PES, Assassins Creed 2, Final Fantasy X and XII, Jak & Daxter, Soul Calibur, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Skyrim, Fallout 3, GTA 3, Hollow Knight or even Warcraft 2, Monkey Island 2, Might & Magic 6-8. But I will go with BotW like so many others. And it's not the only Zelda game here, Twilight Princess is the other one.
After careful consideration and in in no particular order here are my personal top five most influential games:
1. Sonic 1/ Monkey Island 2 (my first games ever)
2. Mario 64 (first own game on first own console)
3. Twilight Princess (comes as close as a game can to save my soul)
4. Assassins Creed 2/ Fallout 3/ Skyrim (played them when I first lived all alone)
5. BotW (start into my gaming life as a parent)
For once a short answer: Assassins Creed Black Flag. 33% completion after 16 hours. That's about the percentage of the map I discovered. Big fan of the series, but stopped after AC3, so I'm enjoying every minute.
My two most played games at the time the originals came out. Especially Pro Skater 1! Rented over a weekend without knowing what to expect and played it probably for 48 hours straight mildly exaggerating . Definitely getting this.
Surprisingly I returned to full-time terraforming and designing my AC island to a wild jungle including getting matching villagers. I was so ready for the new update that it didn't matter it was so lacklustre, so I returned to the game anyway and got hooked again. Over the weekend I want to complete a swamp and a jungle temple. Also trying the Miitopia demo.
Kneedeep back into Skyrim. I'm so hooked right now I'm confident to complete the main story for the first time in the ten years I'm playing this game over different console generations. Maybe I can get to my backlog that includes Octopath Traveler, Ace Attorney Trilogy, Borderlands I, Monster Hunter XX and Assassins Creed Black Flag.
I've actually no idea. Nowadays I'm feeling to tired from work most of the time to attack my backlog and return to chilling on ACNH or don't play at all. But last week I felt the itch to go back to NBA2K (the 20 version) and Skyrim and I think these will be my options this weekend, too.
Still cleaning up my island in ACNH for the rebuild. In the meantime I'm playing Mario 3D All-Stars with my two boys and Assassins Creed Black Flag. Want to start the Harry Potter Collection in coop with my wife. The current choice from my backlog is Wonder Boy: Dragons trap.
So much to play! Got 3d All-Stars and Outer Worlds last week. Especially want to start Mario 64 for the nostalgia. Did manage to return to Octopath Traveler, too. Cleaning up my ACNH island for the big makeover in between. Almost forgot, getting used to Apex Legends as it seems to be a fun game despite the graphical limitations.
Just last week I was wondering for the last of many times in the last few months what he has been up to and feared for the worst. Sad news indeed. Didn't watch much of his content but you could immediately feel his passion for gaming and see his great character. When there's people that think of you without knowing you and so many others that praise you BECAUSE they knew you than you lived a good life. RIP
Cleaning up my island in ACNH from items and flowers in the few minutes I have to play at the moment because I want to redesign it as a jungle starting on the anniversary. Maybe I can squeeze in some Splatoon 2 matches to get better again.
The Splatoon 3 announcement made me jump back into the second game. It's time it takes back the place as my most played game from ACNH. It's the only game I've EVER played I would acknowledge as being addicted to. Here's hoping the new instalment will be just as good. For now I seem to be a bit rusty.
@jamesthemagi @matdub Thx for the advice. Already checked out some games from the list and the sale is here in Europe, too, so I have a lot to think about what game to get next.

Got my first ever 3ds for two weeks now and still check the eshop for my next games. These are all on my wishlist except for etrian odyssey and persona. Guess I made the right choices.
Got my hands on a used New 3ds with some games this week and since it's my first time with this system I'm still exploring the possibilities. Still trying to get back into Octopath Traveler. Lost myself in the first dungeon after returning after half a year of absence from the game because I need to level up my second squad. When it gets to frustrating I continue Borderlands 1, which is a bit of a struggle because my left analog stick is somewhat broken and L3 doesn't work. It's the button for sprinting so I'm traveling very slow Remapping the buttons is no option because they all have a function. For relaxing there are many new things to do in ACNH after snowfall.
