Re: Super Mario Maker Is Coming To 3DS

ColdingLight

I don't recommend buying this since it's lacking online play but you guys do have to realize that the one on Wii U likely isn't selling anymore. So their reasoning is to bare bones port it to a weaker console to hopefully spike sales. Think about it, someone (who didn't watch the Direct) is going to see this 3DS game and say to themselves "Oh! I heard about this game on Youtube! But I don't own a Wii U...But it's on the 3ds?! Which I do have! I'm gonna buy it!" And will be immediately disappointed. So, from a business perspective it's actually kinda smart but to the gamer it's a middle finger.

Re: E3 2016: Reggie Says VR "Needs to be Mainstream" For Nintendo To Get Involved

ColdingLight

Does this guy ever shut up? Seriously has he ever said anything insightful? It's always something unintentionally controversial and makes no sense. You'd think Nintendo would be all over the concept of VR since it's a bold step into gaming.(One that can succeed of fail.) I understand the last time they focused on VR it fell like in atomic bomb and they probably don't want to touch it ever again. Problem with that is that was twenty+ years ago... Times have changed. But then again, "Times" is something Nintendo can't see to get with and this is yet another clear example of Nintendo proving that they refuse to adapt to the times.

This gives me so much hope for the upcoming NX console and the company as a whole knowing it's still being run by these reluctant old men. It's great isn't it?

Re: Talking Point: Five Years of eShop Progress Doesn't Mask Nintendo's Next-Gen Challenge

ColdingLight

I think this CAN be a good idea if it's executed well. We need ALOT of games on sale in order to soften the blow that will be Nintendo's E3 performance. It can't be a bunch of VC like I heard it is in Europe. That's not acceptable. I wanna see games like FE Awakening for 20 bucks Kid Icarus for 20 bucks etc. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not white knighting for Nintendo; I think this is an embarrassment overall.

Re: My Nintendo's Rewards Have Been Updated for May

ColdingLight

While I'm all for them giving out free games or even full games at a "Reasonable" prices on this account system, I don't necessarily believe giving out discount for prices is a problem. Problem is these "Discounts" are weirdly expensive and inconsistent! "Spend 600 Plat coins to get 15 percent off of one game where as in another area if they pay half that amount they get 20 percent off!" It's like screw you. I'm only saving 6+ bucks for these weirdly expensive sales anyway. Where's the incentive to buy these deals? They need to take a page from Sony's Flash Sale or Steam and start discounting these prices at 80-90% off with less coins. These sales are too offensive. Also, Why are there two currencies? I can guarantee that NO ONE will buy that dumb 30% off of Tri-Force Heroes for a whopping 100 GOLD COINS. You're literally paying more than 50+ dollars and you'd still wouldn't have enough to buy the sale with Gold coins. This really does feel like they're trolling their customers; in a time where THEY SHOULDN'T! Considering the recent bombshell announcements what with Zelda/E3/NX as a whole.

Re: The Legend of Zelda Wii U Has Been Pushed Back to 2017, Will Release On NX As Well

ColdingLight

Where do I even start... If this was excusable before to delay this game it isn't now. Like Mighty No.9, don't tell your customers that "Oh, it's coming out on X period of time! No, It's coming out on Y period of time... No...It's coming out on Z period of time." It's like, "Enough with the excuses!" Just tell us when you're absolutely 100% sure of a release date then announce it. It's really not hard.

This is incredible! I've never seen a console (In my life time.) that has FAILED this hard. It's quite appalling! Also, please don't give me that useless quote from Miyamoto of him saying: "A delayed game is a good game and a bad game will be bad forever" Or however it goes. Listen, if the delay is a two year stretch (In an era of patches.) then there's a problem.

I feel like there isn't much to say anymore. Normally I would had a rightful visceral reaction to this but I didn't... I think it's because I've become so accustomed to Nintendo's constant B.S that it doesn't faze me anymore. Not to mention their games feel like they've dropped in quality these passed several years.

I hope Nintendo announces something soon to rectify this ball busting move. Outside of that Tokyo Mirage Session game coming out this coming June (Which WILL tank. Mark my words.) I literally don't know of any other games coming out for this system... Seriously, I can't think of one. I actually challenge any who read this to tell me any games that are coming out to the Wii U. (And even 3DS. I don't see much there either.) And to hear that Zelda U will be the ONLY game playable at E3 is painting an amazingly grim picture for their upcoming conference.

Nintendo has to do something about this... Like give us something free to rectify this. Or some kind of massive discount on something. Just respond to this to combat this crappy news. I seriously doubt anyone's going to defend this delay. And if there is, then they're probably a delusional white knight fanboy who's opinion shouldn't be taken seriously. Ever.

I don't know if there's much more to say... I'm sure there is but I honestly feel like I'm kicking a dead horse. I truly pity those who bought a Wii U. (At full price too.) If there's any silver lining in all of this, I think those who bought a Wii U will now have a healthy level of skepticism towards the NX. I think people won't jump in the wagon and buy it day one. They'll look at the games and conclude "Yeah, I want this." Which is the healthy way to go when purchasing anything really.

Well... In conclusion, I do want this game to succeed. The pre-release hype is now dead and buried unfortunately and they're not going to turn that around. Hopefully the game will "Kick a** and take names."... When ever it comes out...

Re: New North American Nintendo Selects Range Emerges in Retailer Listings

ColdingLight

@Grumblevolcano Well my comment can also apply to Canada as well. And yes, I'm aware the Canadian dollar is more than their US counterpart... For whatever reason. But knowing Nintendo of America and how cheap they can be, I'd be jaw dropped if they did decided to release these games at 20 bucks. But we all know they won't? Why? Cause it's Nintendo. They believe removing 10-12 bucks is a massive deal that cannot be matched. And it's funny, because when I look at other services like Steam or PSN and they discount their games most of the time at 50% or more It just makes me sad to see Nintendo sales being no more than 25%.

Re: New North American Nintendo Selects Range Emerges in Retailer Listings

ColdingLight

What kind of deal is this?! 30 dollars now? Wasn't some of these Nintendo Selects like Animal Crossing and Super Mario Galaxy 2 20 bucks at one point in time? And that was enticing. But now they bumped up that price and are now selling games that range from 4-2 years old with a ten dollar discount? Please get with the times Nintendo. I'm not buying Ocarina of Time 3D a game that has been out since mid 2011 for ten dollars less. you're 3 years to late for that.

Sure, Super Mario 3D World at 30 bucks sounds nice. I mean the game was originally 60 dollars at one point but that's it. But wasn't Nes Remix 30 bucks when it was first released? Where's the incentive to buy that? I also want to add that if they're going to add Wii titles to this new Nintendo Selects section they are WAY MORE titles that they could re-release and a discounted price at 30 dollars. Not games like Mario Galaxy 2 and Animal Crossing which I'm sure you can find for much lower prices on most online shops.

I just cannot understand why they won't just price their games at 20 bucks. That was right on the money. I remember seeing Smash bros Brawl for 20 bucks and even though I already owned the game, that would've been a hard deal to refuse if I didn't own it. That goes the same for some others games like Mario Galaxy 1 and Pikmin 1-2.

In conclusion, these deals are complete jokes and are kinda insulting to be honest. "let's lower our games by a whooping 10 dollars! That'll reel em in!" No. It won't. You get with the times and slash these prices by 50% or more. I don't care if you believe these games have this unprecedented level of value that simply cannot be matched by other games. They're old. They're not enticing at that price point. And in terms of value, those Wii U games which we all expected to have some kind of online play and doesn't, doesn't exactly scream "value" to me personally.

Re: Bayonetta Confirmed as New Challenger in Super Smash Bros.

ColdingLight

Truly a disappointing end to Smash 4. The entire Presentation was lackluster imo.

To be fair, with the gimmick of letting the fans choose what character to be in Smash it truly is impossible to please everyone, that should be a known fact. However, knowing that you can't "Please" everyone I would imagine you'd want to try to please most of the masses. What I mean by that is couldn't they have more than 1 character for the Smash Ballot? Like 3 characters at least? But no, we get only 1. Fantastic.

Re: Final Fantasy's Cloud Is Set To Cause Some Strife In Super Smash Bros. On Wii U And 3DS

ColdingLight

Why are people pissed off about this? Don't you guys want 3rd party support? I personally think this is great! Plus that FF7 remake might come to the NX. Wouldn't it be great to get to know Cloud via Smash and then later in his actual game? (What I mean by that is I'm sure everyone has played one character in Smash but not played the game that the character is actually from.) This is a nice pleasant surprise.

God some of you fanboys just ruin everything...

Re: Star Fox Zero Website Has Fans of amiibo and Online Play Dreaming

ColdingLight

Now hold your breath people, this doesn't mean that there will be online play in Star Fox Zero. I doubt they would put online play in this game because 1 they said they wouldn't, and 2, this game is being delayed for 3-4 months it seems? Can you really put online play in a game that doesn't have online play in it in the span of a season? Also, I'd like to add that these potential "Online features" could be the same BS features in Star Fox 64 3D when you would use their crappy internet browser to look up potential routes to other words.

Another good example is remember when Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze was delayed? People thought maybe because of this delay, they'll put online features in it? When the actual reason is.... No one knows. The point is, the game didn't have online features when people assumed it would have some.

So expect Amiibo functionality in some form (Honestly, it's fair to expect all/most Nintendo games to have some function for Amiibos.) And if this game does have some online features, it's not going to be what you think it is.

Re: Proof of Functioning Wii U Emulator, Cemu, Emerges Online

ColdingLight

@Chaoz I know I'm a couple of days late in responding, I literally just read this comment on my G-mail and I still want to replay to it. With that said, lets continue.

WOAH! Someone's butthurt! LOL! WOOT!!! Look, just because you're precious Pii U is a barren wasteland of software doesn't mean you have to get upset over a SUGGESTION. Now, obviously the emulator isn't ready, I was of course talking about when it's ready. I thought that was fairly obvious but I guess I have to spell it out for you. (Plus the article even says it isn't finished. Lol?)

Now by your logic, a suggestion makes me ignorant to emulation? Hahahaha! XD! Like, repeat that in your head, and tell me does that make sense? All I did was suggest people to use this emulator (Once it's finished of course.) if they're on the fence about buying a Wii U. And that makes me ignorant to emulation? If I'm ignorant, then you're a white knight fanboy who probably can't take any sort of criticism to your favorite X/Y product and MOST CERTAINLY can't take a SUGGESTION! And lastly, I'm giving emulation a bad name? So first off, that tells me you're ok with emulation and secondly, I'm LITERALLY PROMOTING there emulator. And that makes me give them a bad name? Wha...?

Dude, get exposed.

I've gotta be honest, that was without a doubt, the funnest comment I've received all year! XD Thanks!

Re: Proof of Functioning Wii U Emulator, Cemu, Emerges Online

ColdingLight

Well it was bound to happen eventually. I'm kinda surprised that its taken this long to come out with an emulator for the Wii U.

Well look at the bright side: Now people who are "On the Fence" about buying a Wii U, they can play this instead. And contemplate if it's worth the ridiculous $300 dollar price tag.

Re: Talking Point: Star Fox Zero's Delay Could Be The Final Nail In The Wii U's Coffin

ColdingLight

I don't understand why people believe Xenoblade Chronices X will be a triple A title. The first Xenoblade was a critically acclaimed game that sold ok-ish and only catered to a niche audience. (JRPG enthusiasts.) I wouldn't consider an IP that has had only 1 game in it's life time to automatically be this triple A release.

With that said, alot of you probably don't even have Xenoblade Chronicles, (Given how rare it is here in the States.) or if you have it, probably haven't even beaten the game. (Given how long it is.)

Before I leave the subject that is Xenoblade I have to ask this question to you all.

Why isn't Mario Tennis Ultra Smash not looked at as a triple a title? Think about it, Mario Tennis is WAY MORE well known then Xenoblade is. It's had more games than the Xenoblade IP has AND collectively (And some individually) has sold more than Xenoblade. So why isn't Mario Tennis looked at in the same light? It just doesn't make any sense.

Now, getting off of the Xenoblade topic, Star Fox Zero being delayed was expected by everyone and their mothers but it's still a big deal.

Now, I'm an avid Star Fox fanboy who has played every single Star Fox game (Yes, even the unreleased Star Fox 2.) and beaten nearly all of them. (Minus Adventures.) and judging from what little gameplay I saw in Star Fox Zero, I'd be lying if I wasn't happy with the delay.

But at the same time, it is a crippling decision on Nintendo's part. Because it really does mean that there is no triple 1rd party release. I still think Star fox Zero being this triple A release is a stretch but if I had to pick out of Mario Tennis, Xenoblade, and Star Fox, I'd pick Star Fox for the biggest release.

In conclusion I kinda would still release Star Fox Zero this year. They said it was pretty much done, they just wanted to polish the stupid gimmicks that comes with the game via gamepad. News flash Nintendo, the only time gamers want to use the gamepad is when they don't feel like using the TV or someone else is using it. Fact. I've seen it happen with people who own it. No one seems to care about the intimacy between a game and it's gamepad.

Ok, even though I said "Conclusion" I want to add a couple of more things along side a question. (Sorry...) I was reading this article and I agree with them saying "They'll push what software is already out." Yeah, I think that's honestly the better idea in their position. But how long is this going to go? Smash 4 is almost a year old, Mario Kart 8 is even older and no new content seems to be coming out any time soon, and Splatoon's a fad IMO.

It's just... Christ I don't know. "Let's continue advertising old games!' What...a great idea...

Oh, and Star Fox's delay being the nail in the Wii U's coffin? Are you serious? That nail was in a couple of years ago.

Oh and finally, I saw a Tweet here about something like "Oh, multiplats get bad ports but when Nintendo delays two games everyone loses their minds!"

Well first off, Nintendo HAS PROMISED to bring both of those highly anticipated games this holiday season and fail to. And what multiplats had bad ports this year? I'm honestly wondering. Do tell me.

OK That's what I wanted to say. Sorry to anyone who felt this comment was pretty unorganized... Sorry, I guess I'm lazy when it comes to editing what I say.

Re: Miyamoto: Star Fox Zero Has Been Delayed, "I Am Very Sorry"

ColdingLight

Hahaha! You know... I can't say I'm surprised. A year or two ago, I would've been livid, but I'm laughing instead. I guess I've become so use to the fact that Nintendo promises something, then breaks those promises. Says they're going to release something at X time period, then delay it.

'Sigh'
