Now, wait a minute... Satoru Iwata said that his Wii U console under preformed in the US and EU but it didn't under preform in Japan? I mean, granted there were some spikes in the region but the sales were still pretty abysmal... You know... Lately I've been getting this strange vibe that Nintendo doesn't really seem to care about western consumers anymore. I say that because when I look at the game Hyrule Warriors (Which is Dynasty Warriors + Zelda characters) it just seems like it will only appeal to japanese consumers. (They're other games but I'm only going to use this one as an example.) It also doesn't help that its been on record that Satoru Iwata has criticized NOA and NOE for "not selling their console right" Now, I'm not saying Nintendo should make some first person shooter to appeal to everyone and their mothers, but what I am saying is Nintendo is a global company and they should consider western consumers a bit more then now.
Now someone please prove me wrong because I don't want to have this terrible mindset. Sigh
Ok. Apparently, NintendoLife made a review of the game but I don't really care for there opinion. I'd rather read about it from other bigger sites who have more experience... but there is none. -_- how weird...
Oh god... He's back?... It's like they're trying to remake Brawl with some additional new characters and not make it the broken game it once was... Is that a good idea?
Noooooooo... What the Hell is this?!....Ughhh >< I was so certain that we would get the Skyward Sword Zelda model and she could transform in to Tetra, but were getting the Twilight Princess Zelda model again???...Oh come on Sakurai... I mean, does it not make sense to have the most recent main stream Zelda in SSB4? AKA Skyward Sword Zelda? I mean, it was on the Wii. I know people are going to say to me that Twilight Princess was also on the Wii. Yes, but that was a lazy mirrored port. -- It was more intended for the Gamecube and not the Wii.... "Sigh'...I'm starting to fear for the game... I mean, it has failed to WOW me at all... I mean, Wii Fit Trainer and Rosalina/Luma were very pleasant surprises but no true wows... Very concerning...
I'm... Kinda confused to what's going on here... I read the whole article and people are upset about some woman's comments? I'm not trying to be a troll I honestly don't understand why people are getting upset at Comcept... Can someone please explain this to me?
The part that irked me the most is when Reggie said You guys are never satisfied! Well Reggie, I would like you to look at every other video game at VGX. A good majority of them (If not all.) are not coming to the Wii U... All you gave us was a new character announcement for Donkey Kong and a release date for that game which was leaked online about a week ago... OF COURSE PEOPLE AREN'T SATISFIED! Not to mention they advertised this like it was the second coming of Jesus Christ. Now, if they had announced a new playable character for SSB4 and a release date of MK8 then I (And I think many others) wouldn't be complaining. I admit I didn't watch the entire VGX. I only watched the Nintendo part of it. I'm sorry, but I refuse to sit down and watch what was 3 hours of apparent crap. I could do something much more productive like learn a foreign language... Or watch paint dry...
Ohhh nice. Thank you Nintendo. This is the smartest move you've made in awhile. there was zero reason to have that stupid feature to begin with but now you removed it. Good job Nintendo, proud of ya.
Oh, screw you Reggie. To me, this is such a middle finger. I mean, What does this say to fans? To me, it says "Oh, you guys have no say in what we should do." Now, to be fair, I'm not saying listen to every single thing fans say. Because some fans can be a bit mindless at times... But saying these (Very correct) fan petitions have no real affect on Nintendo's decisions, I mean... what does that say to the people running and signing these petitions? It just seems like there is no hope for Operation Moonfall/Zero/etc. And the part that irks me the most is this is a very Capcom thing to say. It's like, what do you gain by saying something like this? Now, again to be fair, I understand his point of view. 100,000 signatures doesn't mean 100,000 sales. And at the end of the day, a company needs to make a profit in order to stay alive. But the ironic part of that statement, is there are times you localize games that are crap. Like Pokemon Rumble Blast that I'm sure didn't give you the numbers you wanted. And then there are games that will likely make a profit like Xenoblade and a Majora's Mask remake. Again, I know I'm kicking a dead horse, but this statement doesnt gain him anything. If anything, it just hurts his credibility even more. 'Sigh'
Ok, I kinda blitz through writing this, so if there are any errors than I'm sorry, and sorry about the swears though I do feel it was necessary.
(Disclaimer: I don't hate Pokemon Ok? I'm currently playing the Hades out of Pokemon Y and I feel it's the greatest Pokemon game since the GB/GBC era, It's that Loveydoveying good! And I've all but finished White 2.)
@BulbasaurusRex Oh god...I guess I missed that...Doesn't that make it even more unappealing? I say that because MotionPlus is still kinda obscure and not very well known. Or atleast to casual gamers it isn't....Which is the targeted demographic for this game...'Sigh'...Nintendo...You're getting pressed by both ends...
Also, the Swordplaying game in Wii Sports Resort was pretty kickdonkey. Please watch the profanity — TBD
@CasuallyDressed Yes, the control scheme is a gimmick. You point the Wiimote at the TV and you reload your gun by shaking the Nunchuck. I, and I think the majority of people would consider that a "gimmick"
If I apparently don't know the meaning of a word, why don't you explain it to me instead of telling me I don't know what it means?
Or perhaps you ironically don't know the meaning of the word "Gimmick"
@MarvelMon22 I know I'm a bit late in responding to this, but didn't we whine at NOA for that typing Pokemon game on the DS? I mean, it came in Europe but not America...I see what you're saying, but at the same time...
You know...to be honest, When I first heard that Nintendo was going to release Wii Sports with HD and Online I thought it was a great idea, just price it reasonably....But this is just way to asinine...You can rent the game for two dollars? Who would want to do that? Or, you can buy one of the two sports games that are available for ten dollars...That's way to much money. So, essentually if you plan on buying all five of those games then you're paying fifty dollars...Which is absurd. I say it's absurd because this is basically a tech demo for the original Wii...that came with the console for free.
Ok, let's be honest here, I doubt all of you would buy all five games, you'll probably download tennis or baseball or something. But still, that's still too much money. Nintendo...You should have just released a retail version of this game with all five games with HD + Online and priced it at twenty bucks. I think that would have been way more reasonable. 'Sigh'
I'm really fascinated with this game...But I'm worried Nintendo of America won't localize it...Because it's to obscure. And knowing how crappy their localization team is...Do you guys think it will be localized?
I've got to ask...How many units were available? 'Sigh'...This is very misleading. This well give people the mindset "Oh hey! Wii U is starting to sell!" Guys...Let's not be blind here...we should know how many units were on the shelves before we make some kind of conclusion. I guess the point I'm getting to is Be weary. When you see a percent and not a number, or when someone tells you something is sold out without knowing how many units were there, be weary. I'm not trying to be a hater, I'm just saying don't be predictable and one dimensional about things.
@Jampie Ok...If that's true, then why did this article say that both Wii Party U and Wii Fit U Pushed hardware sales units when we don't even have the sales numbers of Wii Fit U?
'Sigh' this is kinda disheartening...The past couple of days, I've been seeing Nintendo fans getting vocal about Nintendo's crappy business moves and I thought that this was a very healthy move by the community. Nintendo should be criticized. But now seeing that apparently Wii Party U is selling well in Japan will give Nintendo fans the mindset of "Oh! Alright, now the Wii U is on a comeback trail!" No it's isn't...Personally...I'm a bit conflicted by this...I mean, It's like saying a Barbie game that weirdly goes out a sells a few million copies and pushes hardware sales too...It just doesn't make much sense to me. And second, where are the sales numbers for Wii Fit U? I don't see it. I've said before that I was very intrested to see how this game would sell. But, for those of you who are saying "Yes! this is what's going to save the Wii U!"...Really? Come on. I'm sure you never expected to see Wii Party U sell well. Not to mention, The Wii U sold less than 3000 hardware units last week in Japan, and this week you're telling me it sold over ten times that amount? That just doesn't make much sense to me. Look, if the thing is selling well then congrats. But this is not a victory we should be celebrating.
'Sigh'....This is going to probably cause even more confusion about the Wii U. We now have the Wii, Wii U, and Wii Mini. I don't even understand why this thing exist. You can't even play online with this damned thing, or put in a SD card, or play your beloved Gamecube games. Not to mention, if you go on Amazon, they have a crap ton of Wii's for like $50. 'Sigh'...I have to admit, the Wii is sadly dead. I kinda thought they would localize some more Wii Games like that Project Zero or whatever you call it but I'm beginning to doubt they will. You know...I've always criticized Nintendo of America's crappy localization team for not localizing more games/systems. But this...It's so trivial...And I doubt Nintendo will come out with more compelling software for the Wii, so why release this here in the states? Look, it's nice that it's red and it comes bundles with Mario Kart Wii, but the flaws I stated earlier should make you think twice about getting this. Plus I doubt this thing will sell considering everyone and their mother owns a Wii, why would you need a smaller version? the original Wii is pretty small in itself. And finally, this is going to cause more damage to the Wii U....'Sigh'
Ohhh I wish Nintendo would stop teasing and make it on the 3ds already....Not the Wii U, put it on the 3ds where it rightfully belongs. or better yet, make it for both consoles I guess. (But make the 3ds version top priority.)
'Sigh'...This is yet another reason why Iwata should step down. The casual market and hardcore market are not going to download this, even if it is free, and I'll explain why. No.1 : The download space of this game is apparently Huge. I say that because during the Nintendo Direct of this game, Reggie said something like If you own a basic Wii U set, then you'll need to buy a internal hard drive or something like that, Implying this thing will take up whatever space is left from that massive update the first time you played on the Wii U. Which is absurd of course. No.2 : The marketing idea for this game is asinine. You have to download the game (Assuming you have enough space.) within a month long period and go out and buy a Wii Fit Meter and then sync it up to your game on the gamepad. Wow. He's a better Idea. Why not just simply release the game in stores with the Wii U Fit Meter? To be fair, That's exactly what they're doing at a later date but still, why not just get rid of this whole gimmick and do that? The message is more clear, the save data won't take up to much space and consumers won't have to go through all that tedium. No.3 The casual market is not on the damned Wii U. I understand that this game sold quite well and that's why Nintendo is making another game in the series. But at the same time, the audience is not downloading this. The Wii U is too underrated, too expensive, and too foreign. No.4 The hardcore is most certainly not buying this....Do I even have to explain why? Whatever I'll try to anyway. Hardcore gamers like me and I assume everyone who's commenting/reading here because if you are a casual gamer, why would you even be on a dedicated Nintendo site? Are not going to buy this. Were (Hopfully soon) playing games like Mario/Zelda/Pokemon/etc. Why would we even play a game that's sole purpose is to work out You know, there's a new invention out, I've no clue if you've heard of it but it's called A GYM! In conclusion, all that and other reasons I failed to mention combine isn't going to make this damned thing sell. Now before anyone gets the ignorant impression that i'm hating I'm not. I would love nothing more than to be wrong about all my negative criticisms, but I don't see that happening. I want my beloved video game company to thrive...But I don't see it happening. Yes, the 3ds is selling wonderfully which is good, I think the system deserves it, but the Wii U?...'Sigh' I'm sorry Iwata, I just don't see how this game is going to push Wii U momentum...I can't see it, and I hope I'm not alone in this. But if the man truly believes that this game is going to thrive, then he seriously needs to go. You can't simply just look at sales numbers and say to yourself, Oh hey! this sold well the last time, let's do it again! I think that's a cannibalistic and one dimensional business practice. 'Sigh' I suppose...at the end of the day...Will see what happens...
Oh my god...Iwata needs to go. If the man honestly...Honestly believes that this year's lineup of games on the Wii U is going to sell the remaining 8.5M units, then he's clearly out of touch with today's gaming. I can't tell you how upset this article makes me feel. And the man also doesn't feel that the company doesn't need a major strategic overhaul? Are you high?! Another thing that he said that irritated the Hell out of me is that One game has the power to change everything. WHERE THE HELL IS THAT GAME IWATA?! Please explain to us. What game could you possibly be referring to? SSB4? a game that is nowhere near it's release date? And Hell, I wouldn't put it pass me if the game got delayed because this is suppose to be a triple A release? mabye even X? A game that we don't really know much about and the fact that Nintendo hasn't really talked about the game leaves me to believe that it is possible that that game might also get delayed? Mabye even Zelda Wii U, another game we don't know anything about, all we know is that Aounuma or how ever you spell his name is going to talk about it at next year's E3. 'Sigh'...Iwata...you tell us to please understand and I and others just don't understand. And I really wish the Nintendo community would speak up on this matter and tell Nintendo that their is a massive problem with the Wii U....This is so depressing...'Sigh'
Nooooo! Don't put Majora's Mask on the sinking Wii U...Put it where it rightfully belongs, on the 3DS! I mean, isn't it more fitting to put it on the 3DS? Ocarina of Time 3D was on the 3DS, and Majora's Mask is a sequal to that masterpiece and both where on the same console (N64) So come on people, it should be on the 3DS, a system that's thriving in Japan and doing quite well in the western world.

Re: Iwata Braves Press Conference to Explain Nintendo's Earnings
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Ambitious Sales Targets Require Runaway Holiday Success
Nintendo's expectations are way to high...I see none of them being reached.
Re: Aonuma: Information About Majora's Mask Can Be Found By Playing A Link Between Worlds
