I'll buy this one when it goes on sale...As there are other games that I will be playing in the next few months. If the reviews are good that is, as never preordering anything ever is my motto!
I've got too many farming Sims in progress now...Might have to Wishlist this one for a future playthrough as a good Farming Sim will eat up a ton of hours.
The Art looks improved from their last failure, however, reviews will ultimately out this game to be a good one...Or very bad like I'm expecting. I'll stick with Story of Seasons for now, as those games have been reliable good.
If Pokémon Company does go down this road, I'm not buying any of their games... It's like I've been avoiding Square Enix games because of their interest in NFTs. NFTs are a scam to make money and I won't be part of it.
Performance is an absolute priority over anything for me, the game really struggles functioning at a basic level. Quality of life can follow critical performance fixes.
Yikes, this game is pretty messy right now. Glad I waited before connecting to Pokémon Go. I wasn't even planning on buying DLC until they fix the game enough to satisfy me. So happy I decided to wait for a better end product. 🙃
@Colonel_Mustache It helped a little but there are still NPCs that are stuck in low frame rate walking cycles. In addition to lagging notifications for post battle monetary rewards and updated Pokedex Entries. Gamefreak will need a lot of patches to sort this mess.
I feel this game is a solid 6/10 because while I'm having fun; This game is broken and that makes me sad. I enjoy the characters, the world, and the new Pokémon to play around with. It's a shame that Gamefreak didn't bring their A team onto these games development cycle... There's a great game underneath the technical mess, Gamefreak better patch this game.
I plan on revisiting ACNH after some point to complete my museum, since insects, art, and some deep-sea creatures are all that I've got left. However, due to getting burned out from playing daily catching a lot of animals that only come out at specific times...I put down ACNH for over 8 months. I hope to return to the game as my vision for my island is sharper and I'm going to redecorate the lower half completely, raising funds to move everything to create a pleasing layout.
I'm going to buy Harvestella in the future after my backlog is cleared a bit more. Since Pokémon Violet and Scarlet are coming out this month, I decided to buy nothing until I finished Violet and at least five more games.
I'm excited for this game! I love that the recent teams haven't been interested in taking over the world; the lack of different goals or motivations was boring me. Team Star just wants to have fun on their own terms! I'm here for that Biker Gang aesthetic and over the top style.
Based on the marketing, I understood what I'd be getting. The interactions between Digimon and their humans is fascinating for me. The believable reactions of the characters as a result of their situation and environment are excellent. I think the balance between Visual Novel and SRPG is just right for me. I think the only issues that I have with this game is the occasional typo and transliteration quirks.
It seems like the delays helped this game rather than hurt it! I'll likely purchase Digimon: Survive on day one since I'm not buying Xenoblade Chronicles 3. However, it does conflict with a Sims 4 Expansion pack I will certainly purchase. I'll play more of the Sims 4 in the days after the pack release...
I'm getting Pokemon Violet, as I like the futuristic theme of Professor Turo. I'm on the fence about the Starter Pokemon but love the idea of these upcoming games.
I'm playing Rune Factory 5 as it will take time for the story to unfold. I want to get as far in as possible before casually playing it between other games.
I wish they'd drop the two versions after all these years; however, I'm interested in the 9th Generation of Pokémon. The world has the potential to be both beautiful and fun to traverse. It looks like this is an Arceus-style world where Pokémon aren't confined to random Grass encounters. 🤔
I had a feeling we'd not see Digimon Survive for a long time. I just hope all the changes they are implementing will make the game better instead of worse. Hearing that they needed to get a new team worries me, but this game could still be good.
@HeadPirate I mean, GameFreak making a game around being a Pokemon Breeder is a longshot. It's something that I've always wanted, having a ranch of Pokemon that I refine over several generations. Testing my homebrew bred Pokémon against other trainers.
As far as Pokémon Legends: Arceus DLC. I can see the first DLC about the formation of Pokémon Trainer Culture. We already have hints of that in the released game, and it wouldn't be farfetched to imagine GameFreak bringing that into Hisui.
@Madao I beat this game in 5 days because I was having so much fun. I still need to finish the Pokedex, but that's a post-game task. It's a refreshing break from the formulaic Pokémon games of the past. I hope GameFreak strives to create a game with these mechanics in a modern Pokémon setting. I'd love to see the Player Character as a Pokémon Breeder or Gym Leader.
@BloodNinja, I still want Nintendo to get onto Amazon Music to purchase their soundtracks. Zophar Music was the other means I was referencing without directly saying it.
@Rosalinho That's how I feel about it too! There are some banger soundtracks for many old or new Nintendo games that I'd love to listen to outside of the said game. However, Nintendo hasn't caught up with the times and doesn't list their soundtracks on either Spotify or Amazon for purchase. It's frustrating to find alternative sources for said music, especially when I'd happily pay!
I'm pretty stoked about Legends of Arceus because it delves into the prehistory of Sinnoh. Some details have been hinted at in previous games, which are getting explored finally. I love getting those explanations from exploring this game and its story. So far, the Pokémon variety is solid, and I'm working on catching them all gradually. I think the building of the Pokedex system with Research Levels is fantastic. I'm completing all the goals associated with each Pokémon to raise my Star Rank, so I qualify for more Missions and Requests.
I'm officially excited for this game! I preordered this game because the hope that it would be good still lives on in me. I can't wait for the 28th in the USA for this game to launch!
Future Elder Scrolls games are likely going to be more demanding in terms of hardware, so I don't mind if they miss the Switch. I play on PC as well, so I won't be missing out on any future titles.
I've played Shin Megami Tensei V for about an hour. I like the game so far, the difficulty is just right. Now that I've had a break, I'll hop on and level for a little bit!
I've been having a blast with the new update and DLC. The amount of items they added to the game is amazing. The spark of creativity has inspired me to gradually overhaul my island design. I love cooking as cooked dishes are well received by villagers.
After a year break, my enthusiasm for ACNH has increased.
I'll unlock her next! My plan was to get Leif and Redd opened as a priority...Redd will be unlocked tomorrow so there's nothing stopping me from finishing the rest in due time.
@TryToBeHopeful I found Brewster and talked to Blathers...It seems like the earliest is Saturday for The Roost to appear. As the museum will close down tomorrow, then reopen the day after it closes. I have other things to do while waiting, so it's not an issue. I have to get those shops opened on Harv's Island. One shop funded per day is annoying, but I expected convenience to be paid for with waiting.
@IronMan30 I have the same suspicions...This early release will let people get set-up events out of the way. I'm not a time traveler so the fact I'm allowed to get the ball rolling a day early is appreciated.
As far as the dream Pokémon game, I hope GameFreak wakes up and makes it. I've been eyeing Monster Crown myself for a while. However, a lot of reviewers mention either story progression issues or technical problems which afflict the game at the moment. I'm going to wait longer before buying it myself. Monster Crown still seems like an early access product released too soon.
I got this cute little lantern recently, and started to read about the origin of the lantern. I like how Animal Crossing introduces me to holidays I never knew about in an innocent way.
While the remake might be playing it a bit safe with some cool additions and QoL features...I'm going to be buying and playing through Brilliant Diamond. I wanted to replay Pokémon Diamond and the remake will make it available on the Switch.
@Kilamanjaro I still play Pokémon games as an adult...It's weird to me that Gamefreak doesn't try to tap their adult audience. They target a younger audience and tend to forget their older fans who have disposable income to buy their games.
I didn't have to do much to get ready. I simply moved a home, took out some trees, and shuffled some decor around to make room. I managed to get a five star island in the process. After a year of not playing the new update and DLC has put me in an ACNH mood.
