The latest Pokémon adventure is just around the corner, and Nintendo has dropped a brand new commercial to get us hyped for the big release.
Yes, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch on 19th November, which is only two and a half weeks away. The games will retell the story of the original Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, taking players back to the Sinnoh region once more, before Pokémon Legends: Arceus gives us a brand new tale in the same region early next year.
Last month, we were invited to a special preview session to check out the games first hand; our initial impressions were that the new remakes feel pretty safe, for better or worse, so make sure to give that a look if you're interested in jumping into either version later this month.
Of course, we'll also have our full review for you a little closer to release. Pre-orders for both games are available as we speak.

I can’t wait for this game, I never did play the originals so this will be an all new experience for me. My kids are hyped too. Torn between saving the games for Christmas or just jumping right in on the 19th.
Breaking news: Game company advertises game
The battle system really needs to be renewed.
@The-Chosen-one You mean like they do in Legends Arceus?
@mariomaster96 Do they? To me it looked pretty standard.
@Pat_trick They added fighting styles in LA. You can switch between a fast style that allows you to use multiple attacks in succession and an offensive style which boosts the power of your attacks. I don't think the battle system needs an overhaul though.
Why do I have a slight sense of nostalgia from this?
I am definitely not the target audience for pokemon anymore. I think it's time for me to move on.
Poor Psyduck.
I will get Pokemon Brilliant Diamond since I want Dialga as the Legendary Pokemon.
I saw the trailer as "become a pokemo..." on the main page and nearly lost my mind thinking you would become a pokemon... they should really do that.
@Mauzuri
Hahahahh
I'm really glad the Pokemon announcer took lessons from Nicolas Cage in annunciation.
@mariomaster96
I totally forgot about that game, yeah like Arceus.
I had to rewatch the gameplay footage lol.
I hope they keep that formula and polish it from there on.
Why they acting like kids play this game? We all know its for 20-60 year olds that have been grinding these games for 20+ years with like 2% little kids playing. Let's not be ashamed here guys & gals and put some of those Pokemon dad's and mom's in there 30s and 40s playing this
@Kilamanjaro I still play Pokémon games as an adult...It's weird to me that Gamefreak doesn't try to tap their adult audience. They target a younger audience and tend to forget their older fans who have disposable income to buy their games.
While the remake might be playing it a bit safe with some cool additions and QoL features...I'm going to be buying and playing through Brilliant Diamond. I wanted to replay Pokémon Diamond and the remake will make it available on the Switch.
@CasualNintendonite yeah same, I have the limited edition for Sword & Shield and have the limited edition coming for Pearl & Diamond. I'll try to pick up Monster Crown which seems to target the adult demographic a bit better, but it won't be the same. Hope they release a Pokemon with Red as an adult with some strong base Pokemon that takes place 20-30 years after the first game & doesn't hold your hand too much
As far as the dream Pokémon game, I hope GameFreak wakes up and makes it. I've been eyeing Monster Crown myself for a while. However, a lot of reviewers mention either story progression issues or technical problems which afflict the game at the moment. I'm going to wait longer before buying it myself. Monster Crown still seems like an early access product released too soon.
