@chipia It's a preferential thing, no sense in discussing it, as these things always devolve into arguments. I like cheese, but someone else may hate cheese. You just leave those things alone lol.
@Diogmites Superman 64 is SO GOOD it wrapped around and became the worst game in existence.
@LastFootnote I like cheese. Do you like cheese? It doesn't matter, because our experiences cannot coincide.
Same with games. I really like Tunic, I really dislike BOTW. It's a matter of taste.
@chipia I mean, the screen has room for it. Put top screen on left, bottom screen on right, make them interchangeable for preference. Seems like a no brainer to me!
Was never really into romancing in games so I didn’t bother getting too far into this one. I really liked the presentation of VI on the DS. Much preferred over V.
But II will always be my favorite Pixel remaster when?
Best part about this game is that it trusts the player to discover the world on their own. Literally zero hand-holding. Best modern take on an adventure game to date. Way better than the modern zelda games, that's for certain. I would certainly recommend the PC version or other consoles, since the visuals are being lost on the Switch version.
@IronTruth Hyper Light Drifter is pretty commonly compared to Dark Souls, might want to check yourself. I'm assuming from your name that you're stubborn though, so I'll just leave you to your silence.
The first game on the NES is the most accessible, followed by A Link to the Past. The rest of the series is pretty meh outside those two games, and largely worth skipping. Minish Cap was ok for a single playthrough, but lacks the replayability of the games mentioned in the former.
@KayFiOS It’s a valid question. Instead of upping the fidelity they produce this blurry game. They didn’t improve the graphics because that would have increased development cost, and they know this is an extremely niche title that won’t sell very well.
@OrtadragoonX I had an SSD on my PS3, so I never faced the performance issues people complained about. Best $40 upgrade I ever used. The Switch version has no mod support, and extremely long load times and multiple frame drops. It contains all the bugs that the unofficial patch cannot fix, which you could fix on PS3 version. That's my short list lol.
@HammerKirby I personally owned Skyrim on PS3 for several years, and did not have the performance issues I had on my Switch version. Don't let the news media control your brain.
Why would I softmod my consoles that I don't even own? Did you just read a second ago that I hate having clutter around my house? lol
@Drac_Mazoku I mean, I happen to agree with you, though I put my Switch in the literal trash last year due to the company being overly litigious and not playing fair with their employees. My happiness can always be had, and it doesn't have to be at the cost of Nintendo exploiting it's workforce and suing every person that uses a JPG of their assets. (last part's a joke)
@johnvboy It would be a HUGE slap in the face to not go full backwards compatible for the next few console generations. People are spending SO MUCH MONEY on this stuff, and companies are taking advantage of people, in this way.
@HammerKirby Nah, it's not that simple, anyway. Most games on Switch look and run much worse than their PS3 counterparts. The performance for Skyrim is staggeringly bad on Switch, as an example that was on both. At least on the PS3, you can download a patch to fix that.
Anyway, too many variables to just say one is better than the other. You would have to look at individual games, but my money is always going to be on a dedicated console, rather than a hybrid piece of hardware.
@HammerKirby I mean it's a good solution for some, but I'm a minimalist and hate clutter around my house. Plus, not all games get physical releases. At this point, you're better off emulating, since they keep killing off their consoles.
Can't wait for the next iteration of the Switch, so that you will have to abandon all the games on current-gen so they can close their eshop in favor of a new one!
Why do people still invest money in this highway robbery of a company?!
@Bret What time period do you think this is, the 1970’s? Yes, my browser has multiple tabs, and I view multiple sites! It’s amazing how far the technology has come. Why are you bothering me with this?
@steventonysmith I’m an old-school Metroid fan. I hate unnecessary fluff in any game, not just Metroid. I like booting a game up and jumping in, preferably with as little exposition as possible. Super Metroid took care of it all in the beginning which is great. Basically, what I’m getting at is I enjoy playing games, not watching them. Dread has I think 90-120 minutes of cut scenes if my memory serves me. Most of which are stupid shots of Samus walking through a door and other such stuff.
@steventonysmith If you want lol, but I'm not going into a "point by point" with people who want to say that my preferences are wrong. You don't know me, so you don't know my preferences. Keep that in mind.
-I don't like the studio that made the game. I disliked their rendition of Samus Returns.
I did not like being forced into the emmi encounters; poor design choice.
Too many forced and unskippable cut scenes
Too many pointless or redundant abilities, especially ones that were lifted from other games.
2) I get to hear about steam/GOG games through this site, like Trinity Fusion. They also frequently do articles on other hardware, such as the Anbernic RG351V and mini-consoles.
Couldn't have been that hard to figure out, right?

@LastFootnote Easily better than BOTW, not even a question. Not a very high bar to set right there, though.
