Re: 'The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom' Launches In May 2023

@Cia I criticize it all the time. Vocally. On the Steam forums. Where it's on topic

Mainly because I'm not emotionally attached to the games I like, and I can recognize what they do well and what they don't nail.

Anyway, this BOTW trailer is definitely reeking of reused assets. I also think it's funny that their best idea they put forward is that weird platform elevator/climbing thing. Not sure what's going on, there.

@johnvboy I guess it wouldn't be an issue if it didn't basically look identical to the first game. I would be interested in seeing if they do anything to differentiate it from BOTW, but right now I'm not seeing it.

@Bret Hey bro, I already said not to get in my face because I don't like your favorite game. Take a mint and cool off. If you didn't care, you wouldn't be replying to me so much.

@Ryan_Again Well no. He's not stating an opinion. He said, "I prefer my games to be made by people who know what they are doing." Now we are going into a measure of skill, and if you are doing that, you better have some skill to back it up. His comment went beyond an opinion there.

And how rude to just go up to a stranger and say to them "what you said is irrelevant." Try learning to socialize a little better, bro! iT's JuSt mY OpiNiOn ThO

Re: Game Journalist Doubles Down On Zelda News At Upcoming Nintendo Direct

@r_p_trzy Wait a sec, if they release the Castlevania DS collection, they need to patch the hell out of the first game. The final release has a bug that lowers your drop rate and minimizes how well the luck stat functions for soul drops. Not to mention, they would need to get rid of the glyph drawing, since that’s just a bad gimmick. Oh wait, rom hackers already fixed all those issues! Never mind

Re: Treasure's "Highly Requested" Title Has Been Leaked

@Kilroy Color saturation hurts my eyes. It looks muddy, in terms of over-all fidelity; not good for a game where you need to be able to see what you are doing. The general presentation is ugly. Good OSTs? I’m assuming you mean shmup OSTs, yeah?

Ikaruga
Raiden 3&4
Axelay
Gradius 3
Gleylancer
R-Type 3
Batsugun
Literally any Touhou shmup from 1-10
Mushihimesama 1+2
Espgaluda 1+2
Dodonpachi series
DeathSmiles

To name a few off the top of my head. There are others that I would rate higher than Radiant Silvergun, but I think I’ve named enough.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Investigates Switch's Lowest Resolution Games

With whatever hardware Nintendo chooses to adopt next-gen, if they don't do backwards compatibility with current Switch titles, that would be a HUGE slap in the face to customers.

We aren't talking about NES to SNES and so-on, where the cartridges and such created complexities for BC. Current-gen systems are so sophisticated that there's no excuse not to include backwards compatibility as a standard, especially moving forward. This would be especially true if Nintendo eschewed physical hardware and went pure digital.

Still, even with current cartridge sizes, they could make it happen if they really wanted to. The REAL question is, will they do a customer-friendly next-gen system with BC, or cave in to the fear that nobody will buy the newer games on the new system if they include BC?

@Tailesque You're saying that the human eye can't see beyond 30 FPS and tries to adjust 60 back to 30, did you forget you said that? I'm talking about the following statement you made:

"Even if 60 is what you're used to, your brain and eyes can and will adjust to 30fps."

That's copied from your post I was replying to. You did say that, right? I'm saying that statement is incorrect.
