Re: Random: Sakurai Didn't Appreciate The "Rough" Comments During TGS, So He Decided To Turn Them Off

This site has nasty people here too. Some of the comments I've seen are just downright nasty and stupid. There are stupid people everywhere, but the issue with being anonymous is that these people open their mouths when they wouldn't otherwise. Keyboard warriors are the biggest thing I hate about the internet. I tend to avoid comments sections entirely on every page, even here.

Re: PSA: Is Your Switch Overheating? Perhaps The Joy-Con Rails Need A Clean

BinaryMessiah

@PALversusNTSC There's nothing wrong with blowing air into electronics. I've been doing it for decades and never had an issue with it. I used a small air blower with a nozzle as using suction doesn't get the dust out at all especially if it's been a long time since cleaning. You just can't get the same force pulling as you can pushing with air. I also have anti-static brushes I use after I've blown the majority out and brush the motherboard and cards and fans. My issue with the can dusters is the expense. That's why I bought a plug in air blower.

Re: Retired Rapper Logic Reportedly Spent $226K On A First Edition Pokémon Card

BinaryMessiah

@SwitchForce Yeah, even people like Bill Gates started out from the bottom. Some people just get lucky, but we need to stop allowing billionaires to pay $750 in taxes like our dear President by finding tax loopholes they lobbied for. Some people like @Heavyarms55 can't stand the fact that some people get lucky and can spend their money how they want. Probably a try hard or under achiever who never amounted to anything in life. Why do people get so mad when someone spends their own money on things dumb or not?

Re: Retired Rapper Logic Reportedly Spent $226K On A First Edition Pokémon Card

BinaryMessiah

@Heavyarms55 That's incredibly selfish and it sounds like jealousy. A lot of people actually work hard to get that wealth, not everyone is born into it. Usually most music artists and actors work from the bottom up. Logic is 100% entitled to spend how he wants. This "I'm broke and poor and don't want to do anything about it so everyone give me your money" drives me bat ***** insane. My wife and I are nurses and we make $120k a year combined. We busted our asses in school for that and we're not entitled to buy what we want? I easily dropped $250 on a single retro game because I could, but because you either can't afford it or are jealous I'm not allowed? Yeah, I hate the rich too, but it's still THEIR money.

Also, yes, smartphones are pretty much a necessity these days, but what the dude was trying to tell you is we don't all need $1,500 iPhones for this function. A low budget Android phone for $100 or so can get the job done these days.

Re: This Is What Kirby's Minecraft Form Looks Like In Smash Bros. Ultimate

BinaryMessiah

Glad to see happy people in the comments. Tired of the hate that this game gets. It sparks the imagination and helps people become creative. I don't care for Minecraft AT ALL, but I don't hate it. It's not for me, but my 4 year old loves it to death and he roleplays in the game in creative mode all day long and he just loves it. Too much hate for a game that doesn't really do much harm in the industry.

Re: Full Smash Bros. Ultimate Minecraft Song List Revealed - Seven Tracks In Total

People get so bent out of shape about the inclusion of Smash characters. Unless a game is inherently broken, I don't know why so many people get so damn upset at this stuff. I'm not even a huge Smash fan and I still don't get it. I believe there should be a large voice from a community, but sometimes it's childish and annoying. We never get what we want in games most of the time for various reasons. Licensing issues, some offered money to be included or some didn't charge as much, timing, etc.

I also believe this has to do with a group of people who vehemently hate the game with a passion because it was one of the first "games made popular from streamers" on YouTube way back in the day, and there was a huge trend of anything that's popular with the mainstream or "non-gamers" is trash. Also, some don't deem the series "worthy" of being included because there's TONS of characters people want instead. While I agree this is a weird pick, it's popular. Think of it in a marketing perspective. Kids see Minecraft in Smash they will play it and buy it. Games are a business in the end and it's a smart business move. Minecraft is still wildly popular. My own 4 year old just got into it recently.

Re: Michel Ancel Responds To Accusations Of Toxic Leadership During His Time At Ubisoft

BinaryMessiah

@Mortenb This still doesn't apply to work values. You clearly have never worked a day in your life or you just don't care how people are treated. I've been a manager and director for a department before and I always said you manage personalities not people. You have to manage each person differently. You get tyrant bosses and managers because they believe one style of managing works for every person. My department was happy for 5 years and we had very little turnover compared to the rest of the company because of that. While, yes, we don't know the entire situation here, Michel was a manager, a boss, and had more responsibility than most people.

I swear people who are just okay with this never worked or are tyrannical bosses or managers themselves. Regardless of what we know, this is still never okay whether Michel is guilty or not. I hate when people are just laissez-faire about these things and look the other way. This is why workplace harassment runs rampant.

Re: Ubisoft CEO Publicly Apologises For Misconduct Allegations

BinaryMessiah

I love how there are people who can't just agree that you should be left alone at work and shouldn't be harassed for ANY reason. How is it in 2020 we still have people who think like this? And how have the comments disintegrated into ***** that's completely off topic? Go to work, do your job, leave people alone, and go home.

Re: Carrion's Controversial Nintendo Switch Menu Icon Has Been Changed

BinaryMessiah

@JHDK First, I doubt it was anyone's first thought, it took me 2 days to think that. Second, no one in their right mind thinks that's what a vagina looks like. It's the silhouette. Are we going to play dumb here or play "let's be the snobby one with the moral high ground". My wife even thinks it looked like one and she has one.

Re: This Officially-Licensed Switch Controller Comes With Motion Controls And Mappable Buttons

BinaryMessiah

Lack of HD Rumble is why I haven't bought a third party Switch controller. It's a serious deal breaker for me. There must be some sort of licensing issue like when Microsoft wouldn't allow anyone to make a third party wireless controller for the Xbox 360. I hate when a company locks out a certain part of a piece of tech. We don't want incomplete third party hardware.

Re: Nintendo Cracks Down On The Super Mario 64 PC Port

BinaryMessiah

To be fair, this project is harmless, no one is making money off of it, but it's also Nintendo's property. They are allowed to do what they want and they don't owe anyone anything. I get so tired of these angry mobs going after companies taking down unauthorized content. Sure, they don't HAVE to, but they also are ALLOWED to.

Re: The 64Mate - A New All-In-One N64 Storage Add-On Goes Live On Kickstarter

BinaryMessiah

@Sinton Yes, but on PlayStation it continues way past 25. I have almost 200 PS1 games in my own library and only ever owned a total of maybe 10 N64 games. Not saying the N64 is bad, but there is still a stopping point with N64 early on. There are also "non-edgy" games on PS1 like Crash Bandicoot, Gran Turismo, Medievil, etc that were similar to the N64 games in terms of being less adult-oriented.
