I understand what you’re saying but this game has really surprised me; it’s incredibly addicting and one of the funnest online experiences I’ve had in a while. They’ve got some wrinkles to work out regarding matchmaking and a couple of other things but ultimately, this has been my go-to game since it came out. Incredibly fun and super-tight gameplay. I suspect it will only get better which means it’ll be a must have for every Switch owner.

I played the original on the ds like crazy. Must’ve put in at least a hundred hours. What made that game so amazing was the tactile sensation of using the stylus to evoke all your pins’ powers. Certain pins required quickly drawing a zig-zag symbol while others were circles (some were as simple as drawing a straight line or tapping). Regardless, it worked and played flawlessly and was truly unique. You felt like a bad-ass Harry Potter in a way since you were casting all these different “spells.” Taking that away from the combat I felt would be an issue. The demo proved that to me. Not to sound negative, but there’s no way this follow up will capture the magic of the first.

Why are you criticizing people for criticizing a game (especially without fully understanding the reason for their thoughts)? They know as much about the game as you know about them (more, even) and that’s not stopping you from making opinions about them. Sorry, I’m just not a fan of hypocrisy. And yes, fun isn’t the only factor when you’re talking about $60. I have fun with Pac-Man but I’m not paying $60 for it.

Am I not allowed to have my own opinion? I consider it mediocre. You apparently don’t. Great. Because the review says it’s good means I need to think that as well? And yes, if I enjoy the hell out of something, of course I’d want more of it. I’d love to see a return to that type of game especially since I haven’t played anything like it in years.

I just don’t understand why they don’t go back to that winning formula they had with Camelot with their golf outing on the Advance (can’t remember the exact name). That was the most fun I ever had with a golfing game. If they made a modern version of that for Switch with online play, I guarantee it would’ve sold like hot cakes. This is just a weird direction and very unusual for Nintendo to put out such a mediocre title.

I should’ve described Heavy Burger’s premise, which is one of the coolest things about it: There are two rows of arcade cabinets facing each other. Both rows lead to one arcade cabinet, which is your goal. You play within the games themselves, obviously, and have to carry a money bag all the way to the “goal cabinet.” So, basically, each arcade cabinet is like a level in which a game is playing but you’re there against the cpu (and possibly a human player) twin-stick shooting each other trying to carry the money bag to the next cabinet while crazy action from the game you’re in causes mayhem. Once you get to the final cabinet, take the money bag to the bank and you win. If your opponent grabs the bag before you can make it to the bank, he’s gotta go through all the cabinets and take it to his bank. It’s intense back and forth, trying to get the bag to the bank. The game controls perfectly and has a great style to it and is only eight bucks.

Agreed. I haven’t bought an EA game in a long time but it’s only because none have really appealed to me. I have an idea why the company is disliked, though. Bottom line, I downloaded the trial and it’s a blast. It feels fantastic to play, it’s great fun, and I’ve had no performance issues (except for one crash when starting up). It’s fun to the point that I’ll almost certainly buy it, but comments here are scaring me that they’ll be no one playing when the trial is over or that the game will be somehow ruined. That would be upsetting since this is a multiplayer game.

I’ve been spreading the word about this: a unique and awesome twin-stick shooter that no one seems to knows about…Heavy Burger. I’m a huge shooter fan, and Heavy Burger is one of my favorites along with Bezier, Funtime, Ruiner and Enter the Gungeon. It’s inexpensive too. I should let the editors know about this too.

Re: Video: Ten 3DS Exclusives That Could Be Better On Nintendo Switch

BaronMunchausen

Kid Icarus Uprising is one of my all-time favorite games and I’ve been playing since the early ‘80s. On 3DS, the 3D effect was amazing. Everything, in fact, was amazing and I never understood how they fit so much game into that cartridge. I did, however, often wish that instead of using a stylus, I could just have another thumbstick. Yes, the stylus made for some precise shooting, but you had to be holding the 3DS in a very specific and somewhat uncomfortable way that could be tolerated for only so long. On the Switch, with two sticks, this wouldn’t be an issue. It’d be perfect and play just like all other 3rd-person shooters (which is why someone’s earlier comment makes no sense about only being able to play this properly on 3DS. If that were true, no 3rd-person shooter could be played properly on modern consoles). This is the one game from 3DS that needs to be on Switch and it’s amazing to me that they haven’t ported this masterpiece yet. Let’s start a petition!!!

I buy a lot of games. I’m also very picky with my games (they usually need to be reviewed very well and have longevity). I also love retro and shmup games. Huntdown is one of the best games I’ve played in a long time. It’s amazing in every respect and is woefully underrated and/or underplayed. Don’t think twice and buy it. You’ll thank me. More people need to know about this game.

Re: Nintendo Download: 17th September (North America)

I was all kinds of excited when I saw Hades in last week’s new releases. But Hades never showed. A couple of people mentioned it was coming out on the 16th of September and I blindly believed it. Still nothing. I was really, really hoping it’d be out today, but nothing. Cruel to tinker with one’s heart like this.
