Well, they actually found out that the game was no appealing to retro fans, so they copied and pasted the characters and effects of previous games on a high resolution background to fool the fans to buy it. I wait for the sale. I think the SOR Remake project was and is way better than this game.

That trailer revealed too much, to the point of spoiling the game for me! Shorter and less revealing trailers please!

The number of shovelware releasing on Switch each week is unblievable!

What the hell is this Konami? Is this a Contra? This more looks like a generic indie shooter on Steam. There is no Contra vibe and atmosphere. Graphics are awful (Neo-Contra had is more beautiful than this). After all these years, we got an ugly Non-Contra!
Konami, your are the masters at mishandling franchises. Instead of money, you shall get one of my fingers (and you know which one)

Cuphead is an overrated game. It is only about art style and graphics, beyond that it is a very mediocre game.

These mini consoles are useless. When Nintendo did that it was cool (but indeed useless), but now it is not even cool. If you want to play old games there are a lot of better options (Pc, hd retro consoles, etc.). Don’t waste your money on these toys.

Great game. A true Ninja Gaiden sequel.

Although there are a lot of so called retro games in the market, there are very few Developers who know what a retro game is. In this trailer you can feel the soul of retro games on 8 and 16 bit era. Retro games in not about a “fake” pixel art graphics and midi soundtrack. Only those who played retro games back in the day know what I’m talking about.

They are the future. But there are so many things about the future which I don’t like. One of them is Stadia. But we must face the fact that if they offer high quality first party titles, and if 5g become a thing in next 2 years, people eventually adopt the system. Sad but true.

The fact that they did not turn it into an unpayable and ugly 3d version is enough for me. For that reason you deserve a day one purchase.

Nintendo eshop is an overpriced environment (both in pricing and sales of first party and third party games) and mere comments wouldn’t change anything. Stop buying overpriced games. Nintendo and all other developers are business entities and they use every opportunity to charge you more and more. They only listen to sales figure and competition. Arguments and comments are of no use. Don’t buy their overpriced games and if you can, buy the same game on the platform that give you the cheapest offer. In other words, stop being a “Nintendo gamer”, just be a gamer, and everyone will profit.

When you pay 60$ for an old nintendo port of a mediocre game [DKC], or willing to pay 60$ for a GBA remake, then I think Capcom marketing team were right in overpricing their games, especially when all three of them have some nostalgic value.

@jobvd If done right it would. Resident evil 1 and 2 remake want to have word with you.

Instead of releasing mediocre Chrono Trigger wannabes, Just do a full remake of Chrono Trigger (i.e., dont waste your resources on these games), and only then you would see the true magic of Chrono Trigger.

Well, its is not a bad game. But obviously did not live up to the hype before its release. Multiplayer is good, but campaign is quite boring. The presentation is as minimal as first Advance Wars game, and music, art style, graphics, and unit design are mediocre.

@pilotmkn exactly. Advance wars was all about modern warfare and this game has a pre-modern fantasy setting which is alright in it’s own terms but not for an Advance Wars style game. As if you satisfy your thirst fir a post apocalyptic game like Fallout with Elder Scrolls games.

Except for Wargroove, all of them are mediocre games. Don’t waste the word “exciting”.

Switch can’t run the game as intended.

@Rubbercookie You are right. 3d is more cheaper and feasible for them. But unfortunately the game has suffered because of that.

There is no doubt that they have used the wrong art style for this game. But art style is not everything. The game stands or falls by its gameplay mechanics.

Well, they have made a mistake using 3d models. This game looks bad. And this is very unfortunate. They could use handdrawn graphics. Metacritic 7/10 at best. It shall hunt Castlvania fans by exploiting their nostalgia; but not me. I have already threw away my nostalgia for any game related product.

Consumers should fight for a refund option in digital media, not only for pre-orders but even for regular ordering. The procdure which Steam pursues is good model for all other platform.

The sad point is that we still need studios like them to play a downgraded version of RE2 Remake on Switch.

Well, recent Fire Emblem games were really disappointing in terms of atmosphere and character design. I prefer Snes FE games in this regard. But from the gameplay perspective, recent FE games are brilliant.

It seems Switch owners expect Nintendo to give them a remaster or port of all their favorite games or titles. And for this they have a reason: “we want to play it on the go”.

Asian version of Super Robot Wars games on PS4 is in english. I wonder if this will be the same for Switch or not?
