Great news! I loved the trilogy so I'm glad there's going to be more Trine.
I just watch the trailer and I was wondering...there is not going to be a all in one bundle for switch?
Art style reminds me of battle chasers, with the game being 2D.
Physical copy, score. I’ll get the whole series on Switch at some point.
'the Switch version will set you back £29.99/€34.99 - £5/€5 more than other platforms.'
Augh!
Hell yes! There isn't any other series quite like Trine on any platform, so this is very welcome news! Hopefully it is more well received than Trine 3, and do I have to mention how neat that box art looks?
Good to see they stayed true to the first games graphicwise. Most games after some time make a whole change and make it full 3D openworld. We don't need that in each game! Keep the success formula . I'll buy this one
I enjoyed the first two games on PC. I might buy this one on the Switch. Especially if they have a physical release.
"£5/€5 more than other platforms" soooo... Switch tax is still a thing?
I'm still upset with the released but unfinished Trine 3 following the fantastic trine 1 and 2. I won't get this one unless it gets good reviews and a big discount.
I tried playing Trine 2, but the visuals just really put me off of this game. The colors blend so much with eachother and it has a real fetish for having glare hit every object in the game. Great for everyone who may have wanted more of the Trine gameplay after hearing about how disappointing Trine 3 was, but I'd rather just see a sequel to Nine Parchments.
Yep. Looks like it's going to be awesome again
It really look gorgeous, and I´m pretty sure it´s going to behave quite well on Switch, so I´m very happy with this!
Although I wonder why now it´s a 4 player coop game... Who is the 4th character??
When is trine 3 coming to switch?
Love trine. Will definitely buy this
@Donutman There’s a Trine 1-3 physical game you can preorder from GameStop ( I think it’s exclusive) it releases the end of April at $40. I believe that will be the only way 3 is released for Switch.
I’ve been interested in these games since I’ve never played them but I think $40 is a little steep?
First Trine game was very good. Although the co-op thing concerns me, but I look forward to this game. A fit game for mu Switch.
@baller98 - That is not the complete bundle. Its just 1-3.
@N8tiveT3ch - Does not appear they will sell Switch Complete bundle. PS4 and Xbox will have a better deal with all the games for $50, also they will be getting the OST, digital artbook, and reverse cover art included on that ultimate collection.. Switch will probably have to buy the 1-3 collection for $40, and then separately buy Trine 4 for $30-40. Sounds pretty wack to me.
@baller98 I know right. Looks like we getting double switch taxed for this one. PS4 Xbox - $50 for all 4. Switch $70-$80 for all 4.
Can someone tell me what people find appealing about this series? I tried Trine 2 but I never got into it.
(I'm actually curious by the way. I'm not trying to provoke anybody)
Really happy to see that they're going back to 2D gameplay where the series really shines.
@Mamabear thanks I’m going digital so hopefully it’s in April for that too.
I'm pretty excited for this, I really enjoyed the first 2. Plus 4 player co-op sounds amazing.
Awesome I love the Trine games
I need to get around to playing the Trine series, it’s been in my backlog on ps4 for a while.
Will be getting this day one and I've been looking forward to getting the Trilogy on Switch. This was a fantastic surprise and it looks beautiful.
I liked Trine 2, and i really like how this is game is looking.
I'm really digging how the visuals have been reigned in and no longer burn my eyes.
And hopefully, after their their adventures with a different genre, they're back full-force with lots of new ideas to change up the formula in Trine.
Looking good, though I heard that number 3 was very dissapointing (mostly because of its short size). I have first to finish 1 and 2 on the Switch though. After that I might go for 3, even if it is that short.
