Why are people being pressured into apologizing for their art? It’s your art, your story, your characters, you can make it whatever you want. I welcome variety. This ***** reminds me of Newspeak in 1984 - y’all really want everyone to be a perfectly respectful clone with no vocabularic freedom. I welcome all opinions and creeds. There are “disrespectful” people in the world, so why wouldn’t the world’s art reflect that?
@GoblinKing86 Game developers should respect their original vision. You don’t see From Software patching Dark Souls to make it more easily palatable. If a game’s premise is to be hard, I don’t think they should sacrifice that ideal. The enjoyment comes from toppling an “impossible” obstacle. I don’t have super talented reflexes nor are they required to beat the Impossible Lair. All you need is the determination to not give up. But if people want their hand held, I guess that’s cool too.
I am a Warriors series mega fan and always will be. This game has perhaps the best combat in the Warriors franchise, yet it’s interrupted by exposition far too often in the story mode. Every time you get into a flow with the combat, there is a nonsensical cutscene. I still love it, but wish it just went with the open battle system e.g. Warriors Orochi.
Hey, I get it, it's kind of lame for somebody to make money off of someone else's idea, but I'm never going to pass up the opportunity for more of what I love. Cuphead was the last 100/100 game for me, so I'm honestly thrilled that there is something to hold me over until a (hopeful) sequel comes out.
Same thing with any other indie game that riffs on older ideas - I can't tell you how many Castlevania and Metroid clones I've played that are derivative as all hell but also very fun. If it's something I love, I don't mind the copying.
I agree with his sentiment. All the best fighters in history (Turbo, 3S, Melee +) have a handful of characters that are dominant. Like everyone else said the excitement and drama comes from those who choose to play lesser characters.
I think it looks cool and the core gameplay looks totally different from BOTW. I don’t see how people could be upset over sharing some similar environments when we all draw inspiration from the same Earth.
Does anyone else have trouble with COOP play on the Anniversary collection? It won’t let me play coop on Contra 1, but it will let me for Hard Corps. I can’t scroll to the 2 Player option, and both Joycons control one player in one player mode.
I would much rather they don't look like the actors from the movies. I would prefer this game to have its own identity as opposed to being tied to the movie franchise. I think Thor should look like Thor, not Chris Hemsworth, etc.
First game was amazing despite a lackluster final world. I have high hopes and I’m excited. People who have been pining for a new BK experience yet hate on this very loyal continuation of BK should be ashamed.
No, thanks. Why would I be interested in buying a players guide for an online multiplayer game that will be patched repeatedly after it is published, significantly changing the game and invalidating the book? [2]
Good to see a nice review about this one. I've had my eye on it for a bit. Seems like the perfect game for me and my younger brothers to play, so I'll buy it next time I'm over there.
I've played a couple games, some with my family and some alone, and it's a decent board game. Obviously the amount of content here is laughable, and there is no actual gameplay, but it's a decent way to relax after a long or stressful day.
I bought eight of these games, and I'm thinking about two more.
@Andremario Pirate's Curse was my first Shantae game. There were some references that I didn't get, not having played the other two, but it was still one of my favorite games of last year.
I'm really getting hurt by the current state of game development. All of my favorite game series and studios are closing, or choosing to not make games because of expenses and the modern consumer's ridiculous expectations.

Re: Review: Clive 'N' Wrench - A Banjo-Kazooie-Style Throwback That Hits All The Wrong Notes
I loved Duke Nukem Forever and Balan Wonderworld, so there's always hope for me to enjoy a panned game.
Re: Feature: Game Of The Year 2021 - Nintendo Life Staff Awards
Cyber Shadow was my game of the year this year.
Re: Guh-Huh! Grant Kirkhope Has Released A Banjo-Kazooie Remix Album
Awesome. Gruntila's Lair, Freezeezy, Mad Monster Mansion, and Rusty Bucket Bay are all particularly well done. I hope they do a vinyl release of this.

Re: SNK Deletes "Inappropriate And Offensive" Samurai Shodown Tweets, Offers Apology
The whole world is practically addicted to porn at this point so we are just fooling ourselves when people act like they’re offended by this stuff.

Re: Yooka-Laylee And The Impossible Lair Update Makes The Final Stage Easier To Beat
The game is literally called The Impossible Lair... I don’t know why people got so upset when the game delivered its promise.
Re: Yooka-Laylee And The Impossible Lair Update Makes The Final Stage Easier To Beat
Defeating it is one of my proud accomplishments. They should turn off the achievement for people who beat it this new way.
Re: Poll: Which ARMS Fighter Should Join Super Smash Bros. Ultimate?
They’ll go the skin route (Bowser Jr) for sure, but I hope Helix is one of them.

Re: Shantae And The Seven Sirens Sets Course For Switch This May, New Details Revealed
I’m hoping it’s more like Pirate’s Curse. The last one was a big step back for the series in my opinion.

Re: Feature: Best Castlevania Games On Nintendo Consoles
Oh yes and #3 would be Lords if Shadow.
Re: Feature: Best Castlevania Games On Nintendo Consoles
Order of Ecclesia (best gameplay) followed by Circle of the Moon (best castle) for me. They are all really good, though. I’ve played em all except 64.
It’s really unfortunate that Konami isn’t reviving the game IP in the golden era of the genre it helped create.

I can’t get co-op play to work on this collection? It doesn’t let me scroll down to 2 Players for some reason on any of the games.
