Re: Thunder Lotus Apologises For Ableist Storyline In Spiritfarer, Pledges To "Correct The Mistake"

Anthracks

Why are people being pressured into apologizing for their art? It’s your art, your story, your characters, you can make it whatever you want. I welcome variety. This ***** reminds me of Newspeak in 1984 - y’all really want everyone to be a perfectly respectful clone with no vocabularic freedom. I welcome all opinions and creeds. There are “disrespectful” people in the world, so why wouldn’t the world’s art reflect that?

Re: Yooka-Laylee And The Impossible Lair Update Makes The Final Stage Easier To Beat

@GoblinKing86 Game developers should respect their original vision. You don’t see From Software patching Dark Souls to make it more easily palatable. If a game’s premise is to be hard, I don’t think they should sacrifice that ideal. The enjoyment comes from toppling an “impossible” obstacle. I don’t have super talented reflexes nor are they required to beat the Impossible Lair. All you need is the determination to not give up. But if people want their hand held, I guess that’s cool too.

Re: Feature: Best Castlevania Games On Nintendo Consoles

Order of Ecclesia (best gameplay) followed by Circle of the Moon (best castle) for me. They are all really good, though. I’ve played em all except 64.

It’s really unfortunate that Konami isn’t reviving the game IP in the golden era of the genre it helped create.

Re: Enchanted Portals Is A Cuphead-Style Co-Op Game Eyeing Up A Release On Switch

Anthracks

Hey, I get it, it's kind of lame for somebody to make money off of someone else's idea, but I'm never going to pass up the opportunity for more of what I love. Cuphead was the last 100/100 game for me, so I'm honestly thrilled that there is something to hold me over until a (hopeful) sequel comes out.

Same thing with any other indie game that riffs on older ideas - I can't tell you how many Castlevania and Metroid clones I've played that are derivative as all hell but also very fun. If it's something I love, I don't mind the copying.

Re: Review: Dual Core (Wii U eShop)

Good to see a nice review about this one. I've had my eye on it for a bit. Seems like the perfect game for me and my younger brothers to play, so I'll buy it next time I'm over there.

Re: Review: Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival (Wii U)

I've played a couple games, some with my family and some alone, and it's a decent board game. Obviously the amount of content here is laughable, and there is no actual gameplay, but it's a decent way to relax after a long or stressful day.
