Re: DOOM Eternal On Switch Will Target 30fps

Alber-san

@ramu-chan
And the PC version will probably reach 120fps 4k, making those versions vastly inferior. Switch also adds portability but you can ignore that factor just because you don't see the appeal of it. After all, everyone has the same tastes as you do /s

Re: Switch Retail Game Sales In Japan For This Year Have Surpassed The Five Million Mark

Alber-san

@Cobalt
Ok but then you can't expect Nintendo to comply with your expectations. I guess you don't count indies either so then you're excluding third parties, ports and indies. You can't expect Nintendo to release more than two goty contenders each year. Last year we had BoTW and Odyssey, this year we have SSBU and Pokemon Let's Go. Next year we might get Metroid and Pokemon gen 8. And that's without counting smaller titles like Splatoon 2, Arms, Kirby, Mario Tennis, Fire Emblem, Yoshi, etc. Oh and by the way, if you have so many games alreadywhy do you care if more are released? You could try and finish or complete the ones you already have if you have nothing else to do.

Re: Switch Retail Game Sales In Japan For This Year Have Surpassed The Five Million Mark

@Cobalt @New_Guest
I had (and still do) a WiiU and still can't keep up with all the good games releasing on Switch. Why? Well first of all owning a WiiU doesn't guarantee owning every single game for the console. I didn't buy DK or Hyrule Warriors and I would get them on Switch if I had the money and time, but sadly I have things to do in the real world. Then there's the fact that third parties are now supporting Nintendo's console. If you have a PC or PS4 you mighy not care, but they are even more games for the Switch and they're portable. You're free to dislike the games but there's no way you can say there are no games on Switch. Most people can't even play all the games because of their lives.

Re: Review: MotoGP 18 (Switch)

@JayJ
Have you played Gear.Club Unlimited without any assists on? It becomes pretty much a sim racer: you'll drift in corners if you don't brake correctly, you'll have full control of yhe gear box which, if used incorrectly, will make you lose control of your car, cars have different attributes to them like maneuverability or throttle, you'll slow down drastically if you hit a wall, etc. The only things missing are real tracks, car damage, tyre wear down and long races (though this can be solved in multiplayer splitscreen by chosing more laps).

Re: Review: MotoGP 18 (Switch)

So it's basically like Gear.Club Unlimited but with motorbikes and without splitscreen. I'll stick to the former until a better racing sim comes out.

Re: Fortnite Version 4.4 Is On The Way Bringing Limited Time Mode And A New Item

Alber-san

@GoldenGamer88
I usually find a few people to fight along the way, but I understand it could be boring for people who want only action in their games. I'm a very patient person so I have no trouble waiting for battle.

Both you and @mazzel should try 50v50 tho. Try to land really close to where there won't be storm (the circle). There's always a lot more action going on there.

Re: Fortnite Version 4.4 Is On The Way Bringing Limited Time Mode And A New Item

Alber-san

@mazzel @GoldenGamer88
That's part of the fun. It's a risk reward situation. You either go to places with really good drops where everyone will go or go somewhere with worse loot but evading combat. It also adds to the tension. You never know when you'll get sniped or followed by other players so you'll have to be alert.

If you take out those elements stops being what it is and basically becomes another generic shooter.

Re: Release Window Between Consoles And Switch "Shrinking All The Time" Says Panic Button Boss

Alber-san

@Knuckles-Fajita
Yeah, some developers clearly don't want to put the effort to deliver the best experience for the consumers (that being by making proper sequels to games and not the same thing over and over, innovating or porting to all platforms). However this is still good news for developers such as Bethesda, Square Enix, Capcom, Bandai Namco, etc. (Even 2k seems to be supporting the Switch) who clearly are investing on the console.

Re: Nintendo's Share Price Sees Dramatic Rise After Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee Reveals

Alber-san

I really don't understand the worries people seem to have with hardcore vs casual, specially with the Switch. First with Labo and then with Pokémon. Why does it matter so much to you people if a game is considered casual or hardcore? People are hating Lets go just because you capture pkmn like in Go which everyone, therefore it was somehow considered casual. Like the game? Buy it. Don't like it? (Even though we haven't seen enough to determine) Then don't buy it. But if you simply dislike it because there are Go elements in it you should get a personality check.

Re: Random: Pikachu Makes A Surprise Cameo For Israel At This Year’s Eurovision

Alber-san

@Blizzia
"It's pretty simple. People have HORRIBLE music taste"
Yep that's probably it haha.
I have to disagree on your other posts tho. Eurovision winners tend to be the most innovative songs. That's why Portugal won last year (as in innovative for eurovision), why "Heroes" won in 2015, why Euphoria won in 2012, etc. (I stopped there because I don't remember the others). Countries then tend to copy last years winner, which ironically makes the new innovators win. (Favourites don't usually win and are usually horrible songs).

There are of course songs that have won for other reasons (Conchita Wurst, Ugh) but it's not the norm.

Re: Bethesda Talks Plans For Future Support On The Switch

Alber-san

Wow it's so weird. Bethesda has gone from not supporting Nintendo at all to being the most supportive third party.
"From my perspective, any time we can bring it out on the Switch at the exact same time as the other platforms for new releases, I don’t know why we wouldn’t."
Oof this will hurt other third parties coughSquare Enixcough

Re: Review: Kirby Star Allies (Switch)

Alber-san

Maybe this game was made by a smaller team than usual so as to have more people and resources for smash switch. That would explain the 30fps and smash coming to switch so soon.
Anyway the game seems fine. If you find allies to be OP simply dont use them. Kirby games tend to be harder in the Arena though.

Re: Breath of the Wild Developers Discuss the Zelda Timeline

Alber-san

I feel like the Legend of Zelda is named like that for a reason: all the video games are legends. What this means is that every game is a story passed down through time so they're all in the same timeline but might not be entirely true, just like legends. They have been exagerated or made up and have been passed on generation after generation. They're not stories then, but legends of the hero.

Re: Feature: Revisiting Symphony Of The Goddesses With Its New Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Music

Alber-san

Lol at everyone saying BotW doesn't have good/memorable music. Have any of you played the game more than once? Or listened to its soundtrack? I'm pretty sure you haven't. Most of the game is based on the world's exploration (which doesn't really have music) but the best tracks are found in certain events (?) such as Hyrule Castle, Sidon's theme, Dark Beast Ganon's fight, etc. It's impossible to remember a song just hearing it once.
