This is the type of game the Switch can do well, hopefully getting the attention it needs.

Always knew it would not be worth waiting if you have a Home Console or PC.

Not playing the same game at Home and on the GO if it means playing it like this. I can do something else on the Bus.

I only have it installed on Shadow PC. I run my games at 600p and Medium so I have no problems with Streaming. I guess If I had any hick-ups probably blamed the connection.

But yeah, that sounds awful. Maybe the engine is the real issue.

I have an issue with Digital only trend not because I like physical. But because I need to Trade, Sell-back or Rent some of my Day 1 $60 games (well now $70 🤦‍♂️)

I rented Miles Morales, SackBoy and now Age of Calamity. That is money I saved to Pre-order CyberPunk (on PC because $42 on GOG and they get 100% of cash) and Bravely Default 2.

Digital only will blow my gaming budget out of the water.

People mentioned they had played Dragon Quest S on Switch already (or waiting for GamePass) and were not getting it on PS4/Ps5 in the PushSquare review. Nobody made a fuss about it

Happens all the time. Switch has more delayed games (and compromises) so you will see more here.

Yes and so was Horizon Zero Dawn. But people with a PS4 and a PC were not all that excited it was on PC because they had played it 3 years ago.

You somehow want people to act differently when the Switch is an option. Pc, PS4, Switch... people pick one over the other all the time and comment about it.

Already played it months ago on PC... Cyberpunk is in 2 days for the same price. Easy skip.

Another example why I do not just have a Switch.

I made Yakuza: Like a Dragon my handheld game via Shadow PC. Happy to have gotten it native on Switch instead.

The graphics and gameplay make more sense on Switch than DOOM Eternal does.

Immortals on Switch got outsold by the PS5 install base version. Never had a chance at $60. It will sell better once the price drops.

@JimmySpades I commented the chart is predictably constant. And in no way selling 1,000 XSX makes any hardware business viable for Microsoft (as usual). They still had the best launch in Xbox history so obviously it was not thanks to Japan. That is not generalization, they are sales charts.

@JaxonH For sure... One selling does not mean the other does not. When the 3DS was selling boat loads so were home consoles and Graphic cards. Nothing has changed.

Sure, if you happy with Sniper Elite 4. But I did not care about SE4 on PC back in 2017. I wanted to play ZBOTW. Just like I do not care about SE4 on Switch in 2020... I want to play Cyberpunk, Yakuza, Dirt 5, F1, Valhalla, Miles Morales.

Same way I do not want to pick between KENA or Bravely Default 2 in early 2021... I want both. I played MH: World... now I want to play MH: Rise. So I have hardware that covers any of those options.

If I have time (and extra $60) to play I want to play what I am most exited about... for most of 2020, that has not been on Switch.

Not surprised, and that is a $500/400 purchase. So paying a premium over a Switch.

Tons of gamers were not going to play at 600p and miss most big AAA releases by sticking with just a Switch (You cant find a $700 3080 or $650 6800Xt for PC either)

Switch is a good handheld, you still need something for home.

AC: Valhalla, SackBoy, Miles Morales runs just fine on a PRO. And the biggest release this Christmas is not a PS5 game (Cyberpunk)

Yep, the Stadia Demo was pretty "meh"... this is a $19 sale.

AC: Valhalla runs circles around this and cost the same. Go with AC on something else if you can. The word is stunning.

At a minimum, try the free Stadia Demo (no need for a payed account) before putting down $60 for this (on any system)

I am sure the usual suspects will recycle the same points on why it makes sense to buy this on Switch for $60.

Astro Bot is fantastic and so is SackBoy (rent it, not worth $60). Love when a console launches with a good platformer

If you have a PS5, better to just get AC: Valhalla. It is the better open world game in every way. And same price.

Go and play the demo before you drop $60 on this, it is 100% free.

@JimmySpades "No games" as in there is no EA NCAA games anymore because NCAA/Collegiate Licensing Company got sued by students for not getting payed for their likenesses in-game.

So "winning" meant EA had to stop making it because they are waiting for the league and US colleges to figure it out. That happened back in 2014, nothing to do with covid in 2020 or live games.

@westman98 The opening 20 sec party scene in AC: Valhalla has more individual faces than the entire first chapter in this nonsense. The first side mission has an actual narrative (not go kill 300 cloned rag dolls)

When you go to a mountain, you actually go to it... and it looks like a snow covered mountain. This goes to a loading screen and a guy narrates "you are going to the mountain" and then it is the same (even the same awful low budget patches of grass) just now textures are in a white color palette.

If there was a production budget it went to buy the ZBOTW texture/audio pack from Nintendo. Again, F2P Genshin Impact has better production value than this (hell, even the free game in my PS5 does)

@westman98 Sure it does, or at a minimum what it is spent on. Tons of work was already created by Nintendo's creative team.

When you realize the world hub is a 3 sec tower animation and a map, the store is a photo still and the first "extra mission" is go kill 300 of X... they sure did not spend it on extra creative work (or optimization)

@westman98 Production value are a carbon copy of ZBOTW, down to the audio. And I have zero doubt it will sell millions. No different than what cloning it did for GI (it already made its 500 Million budget back)... just goes to show how much people want another one.

@westman98 Well obviously it is not that easy to capture ZBOTW or even Zelda magic in a game (even with Nintendo involved) or this would not end up a repetitive snooze fest (or get a mediocre Oceanhorn 2)

It has not violated anything - because there is nothing "big" about this. This is no Smash, Mario Odyssey or Pokemon, it is not even Rehash link Awakening from a September launch slot. There is simply nothing else.

Chinese made F2P Genshin Impact is more of a ZBOTW game than the $60 "Nintendo sanctioned" big holiday game is. 2020 Insanity.

It was obvious for months that the Switch would be missing out on everything big this holiday.

Almost 4 years and 64 million base and you need to go buy a 7 year old home console if you want to play any of the top games of the holidays.... or get stuck playing another Warrior game. Just save the cash and wait for Bravely.

Have Miles Morales for Home and Yakuza like a dragon on the GO (Shadow PC). See no reason to buy a Switch game till MH-Rise and Bravely Default.

It has been a Hardware launch bonanza!... and everything is Sold-Out. New generation of Gaming has landed for sure - Craziness.
