Re: Deals: Pre-Order Paper Mario: The Origami King At Nintendo UK Store To Receive Bonus Goodies

Agramonte

@Littlemonster703 I am in the same boat you are.

I was planing to just order a copy and have it delivered to either one of our freelancers in the UK or my wife's job has an office in London.

But one was a bit of a "crazy fan boy" ask πŸ˜…πŸ˜† and the other has no plans to have that office open in July at this point.

So unless this comes to the US... The Pins at gamestop seems like our best pre-order options in the US. But I really want that origami set.

Maybe The Nintendo Store here in NYC will have something similar - If they open by July πŸ€”

Re: Yes, Sega's "Revolutionary" Announcement Is To Use Its Arcades As Cloud Gaming Data Centers

Agramonte

In 2019 would have dismissed it. But after testing both Nvidia's GeForce NOW and Shadow for the last 5 months I can say it actually works really well.

At least in NYC, Boston, LA. Where I have used it

I have made 2. A 6.2 inch with mobile network for when I am away for work and a 7 inch wifi only for when I am home.

Nintendo should definitely look into this for the Switch. Maybe even partner with Nvidia again to stream next gen games that have RayTracing to the Switch πŸ€”

Re: Turn-Based Strategy Game Inkulinati Needs Your Help To Launch On Switch

Agramonte

Sure, done!. Love the Art!. This should have started with the Switch. Seems perfect for handheld.

Also, keeping the Switch behind the $28 tier when PC can get it at $15 seems a bit wrong.

Nowhere near as impressive Art Style. But Banner of the Maid was just announced for Switch. Pretty solid Strategy RPG that works well on small screens.

Re: Kirk Scott Leaves Nintendo Of America After Five Years

Agramonte

Wish him luck. Sounds like he is a nice guy.

But when I can only play 5 games of the US top 20 on my Switch. Something is wrong over at "publisher and developer relations" πŸ™„

Great he is an Indie fan. How about we get a racing fan next?... No F12020, No Dirt5, No ProjectCars 3. Missing out on every racing game announced in 2020.

Get an Industry leader that knows all the top players.

Re: Review: Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling - A Lovely Indie Tribute To Paper Mario

Agramonte

@JimmySpades Played it on my Shadow Box when it came out on Steam 5 months ago. Turn based games work perfectly on streaming services on the GO.

I did not even finish it, nowhere near the "gaming experience" of the real thing. I give Indies a chance, why I know lots of them are just fill.

If you really wanted to make the pro Indies/AA argument you would have mentioned Disco Elysium, Greedfall or A Plague Tale. I mentioned I was playing them in 2020 a few times here. Anyone who is really into Indies needs a PC.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Delivers Its Verdict On Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition

Agramonte

@graysoncharles well they did "try"... I thought the 1st (or 2nd) patch tried to deal with it XC2.

"I believe that they need to change the engine to something more tried and true on the Switch like UE4 or massively optimize their own"

100%. If they can't make it work without taking down the Switch. it is time to move on or spend a Year just optimizing the engine. Same thing EA needs to do with Frostbite on Windows.

Re: Borderlands Collection Becomes Free On Epic Games Store, One Day Before Launching On Switch

Agramonte

1. The Upgrade to "remaster" was Free for everyone who owned the originals on Steam.

2. Borderlands: The Handsome Collection was the Free PS+ on PS4 in June 2019

3. Gearbox let people play Borderlands: The Handsome Collection for Free during the Borderlands 3 launch

Unless you have been in a videogame coma for the past decade. You have gotten Borderlands (and Xcom and Bioshock) for Free already

Release Borderlands 3 on Switch that is still a $30-$50 game and has 22,000 players a day on Steam (make it cross progression like Witcher). And this will not happen.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Delivers Its Verdict On Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition

Agramonte

@Anri02 Yes, and "it is needed" because something is bogging down the hardware and can't hit the target FPS.

This is a port made exclusively for 1 hardware on an engine also made for 1 hardware. But not only are you starting at 520p to hit 30fps. You also need dynamic resolution to keep it there.

Either the hardware is weak and cant deal with the game they made, or it needs more time being optimized. Seeing how you have other games on the Switch that can hit 30fps at higher resolution easily - I doubt it is the hardware.

Re: Catherine: Full Body Will Get A Demo On Switch, File Size And Other Details Revealed

Agramonte

@JimmySpades Where does it say SONY said they could not do it?

Nobody stopped Mega Baseball 3 or Call of Duty: Warzone from doing crossplay with PS4 in 2020. Just like Minecraft got the green light last Dec. SONY's position since Oct 2019 is that publishers can do crossplay.

I am not blaming Nintendo for Mortal Kombat 11 skipping Crossplay on Switch (it is only for Xbox and PS4). They simply do not want to do the work just like Atlus.

Re: Nintendo Shares Lots Of Free Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Wallpapers

Agramonte

@sixrings

Yep, it is 2020. Players can expect both graphics and gameplay. Especially for a full price $60 game.

Crazy is, that you asking why it is running at 520p is somehow asking for "ultra mega hyper realistic super graphics" πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

It is just another example of weak hardware that has no headroom to deal with lazy optimization.

Basically they just letting Dynamic Resolution fix the problem zones in the game.

Re: 2K Says It's Eager To Release More Games On The Nintendo Switch

Agramonte

@JimmySpades I clearly wrote "should be both" so I had already included that group.

"Revenue maximizing corporation" would target every player they can. and They would "maximize revenue" from all their games. Not just the old ones. So even by your logic... makes more sense to release both the old and new.

Re: 2K Says It's Eager To Release More Games On The Nintendo Switch

Agramonte

Ok, great. But again "support" should be both. Old stuff in the series and the NEW game.

  • If you release old XCOM1 release XCOM: Chimera Squad.
  • If you release old Borderlands 1 release Borderlands 3

It Can't just be stuff like Bioshock I have gotten for free 2 times now. Time for less talk and show some effort on Switch.

Re: Platinum Studio Head Doesn't Think Next-Gen Hardware Will Be As "Ground-Breaking" As The Switch

Agramonte

I bet they can actually play Wonderful 101 with Anti Aliasing on them. It is 2020, how is there no AA on Switch.

"Boring Hardware" is being skipped with DIRT5 and F12020 and stuck with GRID Autosport - for yet another year. And plain crazy, is pretending FromSoftware (and others) have not made a game worth playing since 2009!

People will buy a "status quo" Next Gen hardware from SONY and Microsoft so they do not miss out on 3rd party games that will never come to the "Ground Breaking" Switch (or take years for a port).

It is that simple. "Better Graphics" is just gravy.

Re: Video: Performance Is "Still An Issue" In The Switch Version Of The Wonderful 101

Agramonte

@JimmySpades Those are the games that launched in the time you contradicting me. They Old games and $5 PC rental fills everywhere else... befalling is your argument that skipping them on Switch is based on bad quality evaluation.

Same insanity as someone arguing with me that Metro 2033 Redux barely has 300 people playing it on Steam because of "bad quality evaluation" πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ... No, it is called an old irrelevant game most do not care to turn on their PC and play in 2020. Trying to elevate them on Switch just shows how titles there has been the last few months.

So Why are you replying to a comment I made to another member?. It had nothing to do with you. If you do not care, ignore it.

Re: Video: Performance Is "Still An Issue" In The Switch Version Of The Wonderful 101

Agramonte

@JimmySpades yes, it’s has been months of rehash and 2nd tier games. Tokyo Mirage, Metro 1 (not even Exodus), DMC3, Saint Row, WarFace, ... Microsoft dumped Street or Rage 4, moving out, two point hospital and indivisible into $5 a month PC Game Pass. Shows How little the publishers cared About that stuff. And now time to pretend rehash BioShock Collection (that Sony just gave away for FREE), Borderland 1 and Xcom (that new XCOM Chimera Squad is out) are the next Switch games β€œworth playing”. Again, there has been Animal Crossing and now Paper Mario. Rest are rehash and filler.

Re: Video: Performance Is "Still An Issue" In The Switch Version Of The Wonderful 101

Agramonte

@JimmySpades

Seeing how my Steam/PSN/closet are full of all the old ports people gush about when they finally end up on Switch - I doubt that is the reason.

More like my "quality evaluation" is not limited by what is available on Switch. If not on Switch, it gets benched and I figure out a way to play it elsewhere.

Same way I wont be playing a random 2nd tier game or 5 year old port on my PC when a NEW Paper Mario is out on Switch.

Re: Video: Performance Is "Still An Issue" In The Switch Version Of The Wonderful 101

Agramonte

@Moistnado

"I need them to make good on my investment in this console before buying another one"

Yep. Last game I played on my Switch was LM3 next one won't be till Paper Mario.

Everyone who does not play Animal Crossing has been looking at tons of old ports or 2nd tier games for months now.

After paying $300 in 2017 for a Switch. I am also now pay $12 a month for SHADOW to play 3rd party games on the GO while I wait πŸ™„
