@Shahryar Yeah, you need to keep the price in mind. For me it is also a 2nd screen for my Surface GO I use for work. Between the 2 it makes up for the issues at the price.

I would pay X2 the price of a Switch if it could play my PC library easy. Cloud save with my Gaming PC for when at home.

Medium on the 28th (and PC Game Pass) on a dedicated handheld would be amazing

But I would want it to be from a more mainstream company. $600 Indiegogo is not for me.

Rather just play it at 4K 60fps at home on PC. Even streaming from SteamLink on the toilet is better than this.

Top it off with everyone else is getting a free Next Gen upgrade for the same money and this was always DOA in my book.

Why I do not buy any digital only consoles tied to 1 store as the only option.

I am a player. I path every game I am playing as far as I can.

I rent with GameFly or use services like PC Game Pass and Uplay+ so collecting games is not really possible.

Takes away the guessing, or need to play something I do not like. Just send it back or uninstall and move on.

A PC game I got for free on the Epic store, and can play anywhere via GeforceNow anyway.

Playing blurry cyberpunk 2077 at 15fps looks less janky than this.

Ubi should have made AC Valhalla as a streamed game on Switch. Basically became the new game to play over Christmas.

Just put it up like Control and HitMan3 - give the option for people who want it but do not have the hardware like on PC.

I have WeMod on PC and SaveWizard on PS4, for when "easy" is still wasting my time.

I care mostly about the digital art (world, characters) and the story at this point. Zero need to die 100 times to get to the next story arch.

And not even my point. Aegis Rim has no need for the power of even a PS4. So makes no sense to be tied to it.

@Shahryar Fire Emblem is cool if you like turn based games. It is by far my favorite type of game for a handheld. It is good also because you can either dive in 100% or use certain settings and options to make management a lot easier and time saving in parts. Also great characters.

But you have a few good games there already (Astral Chain, Mario+Rabbids, Octopath Traveler). When I had FE, that is all I played. Sort of something that can take all your time (might get burned out if you play it after Octopath 🤔 great change of pace during/after Astral) Should have taken a picture of my setup during travel with the screen. It worked really well.

Yeah, I did not even open my 2nd EVGA AIO. I just kept the old one and took the new one out of 1 box and put it in the other with the return label. I did not want to disassemble my PC.

I would keep the one that looks best.

If just looking at gameplay

Yakuza like a Dragon and Persona 5 should be on Switch. They would make fantastic Switch games.

Persona 5 looked fine on PS3 and Yakuza just needs a better engine.

I would also put Aegis Rim on that list (one of my fav games on 2020). It is backwards to put it on a home console and not something like the Switch.

@Shahryar I got mine back in August on Amazon. But I would just try it then, I actually just packed mine for my Christmas trip to play the FireEmblem DLC (I find the text way to small on the handheld)

I did that recently with my EVGA 240 AIO. It ended up going on sale for $79 after I bought it, but Amazon has the extended returns till end of January 2021 and I simply sent it back and got it again.

If you get it, I would say: 1. put the screen protector that comes in the box right away. I hate them on my monitors, but the case has a design flaw. The little lip that holds monitor in place rubs against the screen, and will polish it with time. 2. Always pack the USBc that comes in the box. I thought mine had died, but it was I had a different cable. Not Switch related, only if you want to power the monitor with just the USBc and no AC adaptor with your MBP as a 2nd screen for productivity work.

Switch is my handheld. If home, I play on my PS or PC. They fill different needs.

@BongoBongo123 Yet to pay full price for a Wii, Gamecube or WiiU port on Switch. I have a bunch of them in my closet, never thought of replaying them (a switch version is not changing that). I rented Age of Calamity, so it cost me $15 to reinforce that I really dislike Warrior style gameplay. Not my cup of tea. I'll bite for Bravely 2 and Rise.

Always get consoles at launch (WiiU/Switch no exception) 2020 has been disappointing on Switch (especially at the $60 range) if in that camp.

We got Bravely2 and MH: Rise early 2021. So there is light at the end of the tunnel. Hang in there.

Great for Ubi. 71hrs into Valhalla, and still has me hooked. It is a great bang for the money.

@JaxonH Yeah I had a EVGA 1080ti Ftw in that box. So took the plunge. If you have a 2080ti, you really do not need anything else. RT cores in the 3080 still not prime time. It gets hammered once you turn it on.

That stand is awesome. About the part of picking what time exclusives to support. Just hope Capcom will spend the cash and make a great Switch version. I do not trust Capcom on Switch to give it their all, now they have 6Million buy-in to live up to.

Anyway 100% with all that. This is part of a 3 month Switch caravan next year. Glad it is last, because It will suck the air out of the room for me.

Happy to drop cash on stuff. But I do not like thinking I am getting robbed. I also love Digital Art as a profession. So there is a limit on how much a game can get get diluted. At some point it is like going to a museum with dirty glasses or listening to Yefim Bronfman with tin soup cans for me. I'm Not seeing what they made, why if I need a new 3080 to see Cyberpunk maxed out... So be it (PS4 was never an option)

PC Game Pass is fantastic. Especially for smaller games I would never pay to try. And caught up with the big Xbox games I never played.

If they just bring Xcloud to Switch, that is good enough for me.

@JaxonH I think all 3rd party games should be everywhere. Let people decide what hardware is best for each game. Each time I played Aegis Rim, I said this should be on Switch.

Payed time exclusives are silly, but everyone is doing it. Nintendo needs to compete. I am also part of the problem, as I do not like to wait. I usually go by "no idea where life will be later". new hardware, restaurants, pubs, theater, movies, games - same thing - sense of urgency to experience things I want. So they know (unless super awful) I will get games I am super excited about on the first hardware it hits. Like I said, I fuel the time exclusive thing.

I think PC is an amazing opportunity more than competition. I bought CIV6 on Switch just because of Crosssave with PC. Rise already looks fantastic, so probably not needed for this one. But an amazing feature I hope to see more of.

I am probably the only fool who even got all the Amiibos for MH: Stories... yep, Stories! 😅 they can put MH on a Samsung Fridge. Still, Day 1 (Both of them)

No it is not marked clearly all the time. Tons of times I can't find anywhere where capture is coming from. They just dump the hardware logos at the end. And obviously it is not, because this happened.

And no you are wrong. I can not sell you a burger that looks completely different that a picture I am adverting on the window or magazine. You can sue for false advertising. Picture a toasted Halal bun and then give you wonder bread. There are limits to how far off the mark you can go.

PC games list the required specs to hit the max settings long before you buy a game. And again, you have a way to return for refund on PC if there is a problem.

They are fixing it. I mean they have sold almost 70 million of these things. Obviously more work than not.

As for Drift. Had it. Nintendo fixed it with free overnight shipping both ways (out of warranty)

So they are taking care of people who have either problem (well hopefully same in every country)

But this was a bait and switch. The console looks nothing like the game they been marketing and the framerate is just awful. This is a PC game that simply can not run on last gen consoles.

It happened to me with Control on PS4. Thankfully Amazon gave me my money back, and I bought it on PC.

I got Cyberpunk on GOG for $43 thanks to pre-order and they give you a 30 day return policy. So you risk nothing by doing it.

You cant expect perfection, but there needs to be limits that trigger a refund.

It is a start. Hopefully GeforceNow and Shadow PC get on Switch (Maybe make it you need NSO so Nintendo makes some cash) Where it is your own PC game collection, not something you buy on a service.

Played Cyberpunk 2077 over Geforcenow when I was away this weekend and it worked great. And my progress was waiting for me on my PC via GOG cloud save when I came home.

GeforceNow can get shut down and it has nothing to do with my games and saves. Happy to stream that way.

But at any price, next to your MacBook it will look like the budget screen it is. No way it can compete.... for me it was about price and power via USB-C

Lots of times they all have the same level of excitement when the game releases. That 1000 on Switch or 1,000,000 on PS4 get fooled by misleading marketing should make no difference either. Give them a working product or refund it.

@meeto_1 There is no difference from promoting a game on Switch with PC or PS4 footage and then end up with a 600p muddy mess with missing features you only find out when it never shows up after launch (and Zero way of getting a refund). Obviously this was not promoted with the PS4 build. Because it looks/runs nothing like it. This was always a PC game first. Ps4/X1 version was just to make more cash regardless how it runs (same exact thing). And this does not just happen with AAA games, even Indies or ports of ancient games.

On the Switch - blurry and 20Fps is "a good port" (and they would be "trolls" for complaining 🙃) Make noise about awful performance and get your money back. That is how it should be.

Not worth paying $60 for top games on hardware that can not run it. Why I went PC with Cyberpunk (best version by far)

Fenyx Rising down to #17, will be $19/$29 soon. After playing the Stadia demo, not worth any more than that. 59hrs in Valhalla, deserves the sales. Fun game.

Sony had the largest launch month in the US market (beating itself, so now #1 and #2)

Ps5 will sell, XSX will sell, Switch will sell. 3080s will sell so will 6800XTs

USA is not like Japan. Multi-platform is the norm here, everyone will sell enough to make it worth it.

Just look at the top selling games. People will buy whatever hardware they need to play the top games out.

Placed it on my GameFly list. At a minimum I'll burn a rental slot and try it out.

Good thing is that Bravely Default 2 is on the 26th. So still have a Switch game if this is not for me.

Great game and a must play. The writing and art are fantastic.
