Re: Poll: What Do You Think of Pokémon Sun and Moon: Special Demo Version?

thepeterwright

I felt the demo was about right for what it should be, not to short or long and was able to give you an idea of what the final product would be like.

I've noticed a few people have had issues with frame rate dips, personally I have not experienced this, I can only assume it's because I am running it on a New 3DS so has a bit more power to keep up.

I only had 2 issues with the game:

1, I don't enjoy the music, not sure why, it just doesn't appeal to me.

2, In XY/ ORAS we had great arwork of rival trainers when loading into and out of a battle, this has now gone and been replaced with an in engine sequence which doesn't look so nice.

Re: Splatoon Producer Reflects on the Game's Popularity

I played the hell out of Splatoon for 8-12 months when it launched.

The only setback for me was not having any retain-able rewards from splatfest.

I feel you should have been able to keep the team shirt if you won and had an additional prize of like a new gun skin if you hit the highest rank through the festival to give you an intensive to play.

Other than that, it's one of the best shooter games I have ever played, I really hope we get a squeal.

Re: Poll: Exceptional Graphics or 60fps, Which is More Important for the NX Generation?

thepeterwright

This argument is interesting as Nintendo's art lends well to 60fps.

If you look at games on other consoles, Halo 5 (PVP mode) for example, you can tell the art style has been sacrificed to hold the 60fps and is not very visually appealing.

I play a lot of Destiny which runs at 30fps but offers fantastic environments so either way there is a trade off.

Personally I would like the developers to be able to build the games to how they see fit and not be locked into either or.
