I got the physical version on Day 1. Yeah, it's expensive, but I never had a a Wii, so I'd been wanting to play these for a while. For me, $65 (including a GameStop coupon) was worth it for two classics I was confident I'd enjoy. I'm a sucker for re-releases of classic games, but in the end, I also feel like it's money well spent.
I'll pick 'em up, but I hope they've refined the motion controls compared to how they were for Mario Galaxy in 3D All-Stars. Having to constantly recalibrate the joy-cons got old fast. I hear that this is improved on the Switch 2 for at least some Wii remasters — namely, Skyward Sword — but I'll be playing on the Switch 1 for now.
I'm still waiting on a game that will compel me to buy a Switch 2 — neither Mario Kart nor Donkey Kong are that game, for me. When I bought a Switch on 2020, it was for Breath of the Wild — I just had to play that game. I'm waiting on a Switch 2 game that makes me feel that way when I read about it or watch videos of it
@Drnsnsr I agree. I haven’t played Front Mission 3, or any of the other games in the series, but I know that FM3 always pops up on modern lists of the inner-circle best tactical RPGs of all time, so I’m having a hard time understanding how it could be held in such high esteem if its core gameplay mechanics are so unsatisfying. I wonder if this reviewer was the right reviewer for this game.
Man, I'd been looking forward to getting this game since it was announced. I love tactical RPGs, and the Switch is set to have three of the true inner-circle classics of the genre: Tactics Ogre, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Front Mission 3. It looks like I'll have to give this one a pass, though. The animations in the most recent gameplay reveal already looked awful. It's a shame that Forever Entertainment botched this one.
I never played the sequel, but I put a ton of hours into Mario Superstar Baseball. Its baseball physics and the feeling of making contact with the ball were both surprisingly solid and satisfying. The only other baseball game that I've ever found to be as satisfying to play is MLB Power Pros 2008. Both series need to be brought back (to the West, in the case of the latter)!
Gotta love ConcernedApe for putting so much care into his game. When you see an artist so passionate about their project and so committed to it, it makes you wanna see what it's all about, even if it's not a genre or style you'd normally gravitate toward.
I filled out the form, casting my ballot for a Switch port for the third game, but what I really want is the first two games. Maybe Sega will let them be ported to Switch too.
I loved this remake. It was my first exposure to Advance Wars, and my experience with the game turned me into a massive Advance Wars fan. I hope they'll pester Nintendo for a chance to remake the other two Advance Wars games.
Woooow. I can't believe they're actually releasing this. Power Stone and Project Justice on modern consoles seemed like a pie in the sky fantasy to me. I'll pre-order this as soon as I can. I'm more pumped for this than I have been for any re-release in as long as I can remember. I love how Capcom has been showing the love to their fans recently. They've got my respect and appreciation.
I'll take Rival Schools, Project Justice, Power Stone and Power Stone 2, and all of the Street Fighter EX games, either in the form of some kind of Capcom 3D Fighting Collection, or series-specific collections. Also, the home release of Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition. Take my money, Capcom!
@msvt I'm thinking that's what the big unannounced game is. The Electric Underground has suggested that the VF5 remake (where Sega remade the game in the Yakuza engine) was intended to get Sega's current devs the experience they needed to build a new VF game, also utilizing the Yakuza engine. Check out The Electric Underground's video from yesterday on YouTube, if you haven't yet: https://youtu.be/eEpi1ZnilrY?si=ELXU2ac4qMKxMSVk
I’m definitely wishing hard for any Advance Wars game; ports, remasters, or remakes of the two DS games, or a new mainline entry - literally anything would be great. I first experienced the series with Re-boot Camp and I’ll be bummed out if Nintendo got me hooked just to abandon the franchise.
I'd love to see Advance Wars: Dual Strike and Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. Re-Boot Camp was my first experience with Advance Wars and I'm now a zealous convert. It'd be a shame for them to re-release two games, gain new fans, and then leave them unable to play the rest of the series. Take my money, Nintendo!

Re: Opinion: Celebrating 20 Years Of Baseball In The Mushroom Kingdom
The baseball physics in this game actually felt very solid. It was my second favorite baseball game back then, only behind MLB Power Pros.
Re: Mega Man Is One Of Capcom's "Most Important IPs" Despite No New Games In 7+ Years
Where's my Mega Man Legends 1+2 (w/ Tron Bonne) collection?! Take my money, Capcom!

Re: Rumour: New Switch 2 Rumour Makes Wild Claim About Mysterious 'C' Button
If this is what it takes to get the DS Advance Wars games ported over, then I hope this rumor is accurate.
Re: Poll: What Switch Game Could You Not Live Without?
It's gotta be Into the Breach for me. It strikes the perfect balance of fun and challenging.

Localize Powerful Pro Baseball for the West again Konami, you cowards!

Man, I wish Powerful Pro Baseball would get another North American release. MLB Power Pros 2008 is still my pick for the best baseball game ever.
Re: Review: Let's School (Switch) - A Solid Management Sim In School Uniform, But Lacks Soul
@TenEighty I think Trent is reiterating that it feels more like a business sim than a school management sim.
Re: Konami Promises To Continue Improving Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1
I'll consider buying it if they patch MGS 2 and 3 to 60 fps, but definitely not until then.
Re: 'Sid Meier's Civilization VII' Launches On Switch In 2025, More Details In August
Sweet. I have Civ VI and all of the DLC on the Switch, so if the sequel runs well without any significant compromises, I'll absolutely buy it.

Really, just being acknowledged and shown enough respect to be given a detailed response like this is good enough for me.

Re: Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Series For Switch On Sale, 20% Off Every Title & Bundle
I'm still salty over the ridiculous physical release situation, so I won't be buying these games digitally at any price.
