Now if only "New Horizons" would just give me all the cherry blossom recipes instead of putting them in those stupid balloons that you could easily miss because you were on the opposite side of the island!

Re: Talking Point: Why Isn't Nintendo Revealing Its Partner Devs Before Launch?

IDK if this is related, but according to TV Tropes, under "Why Fandom Can't Have Nice Things", as of the early 2020s, Nintendo no longer reveals the developers of their games until their release, in which fans will need to get the games and reach the credits to find out who produced them. This is likely to deter complaining about or harassment towards developers on social media. The same applies for voice actors, for safety reasons.

@Darthmoogle There are two things I enjoy about football: the Super Bowl commercials and the snacks. Think mom and I joked once when I played an NFL demo on PS4 about a decade ago, and we were more focused on the NPC in the stands getting concessions than the actual game itself.

You know, my mom would be a better pro at these (and she's not even a gamer) because even in my 30s, I still have NO idea how to play football or how it works. (Doesn't help that the "How to Play Football" short from Disney had the crowd purposely drown out the narrator when he tries to explain, only quieting down long enough for him to say "And that's how the game works")

Re: Talking Point: As A Nintendo Fan, Do You Really Need To Play The Virtual Boy?

Gunpei Yokoi, famous for creating and leading development on various pieces of Nintendo hardware, is solely blamed for Virtual Boy. However, many of the issues that people had with the system were things that Yokoi was aware of and wanted to fix; the system was Christmas Rushed to serve as a stop-gap between the SNES and Nintendo 64. Also, Yokoi's resignation wasn't because of the Virtual Boy's failure; he had actually planned to retire earlier, but postponed it precisely because he wanted to avoid it appearing as though he was fired. In fact, Nintendo president Hiroshi Yamauchi didn't want him to retire at all.
