I can only say what i said about the same topic two months ago. It simply wouldn't have been as exciting if it were just a new Mario game. Even though i think the use of F.L.U.D.D. in some form or another could make it even more fun.
Does anyone know if this game has multiple save files? I might get it when there's a discount on it in Europe. While i liked the first game that was mostly due to the novelty of having download games on a portable. Looking back the first one was fun, but not 8€ fun.
I don't think there should be a radical change. I can see the new settings and characters fit into the existing, relatively traditional look and gameplay quite well.
Sure, it would've been nicer to get Kamek and regular Dry Bones instead of Cat Peach and Dry Bones Bowser but aside from that it all sounds glorious so far.
It just remains to be seen what kind of effect the DLC will have to playing with online friends that won't get it.
And i think aside from a Battle Mode DLC there shouldn't be more. They will have played their best cards with these two DLC packs right now.
In short: I hate these people and i hated making these games. I'm glad that we have lost any clue on how to appeal to this freaking audience, so thankfully i don't have to make this kind of sh*t anymore.
As long as that doesn't mean extended frustrating backtracking i'm fine with it.
Also still a bit let down that so few games released since the DS launch let you make notes on the map.
Even if you don't download the Mercedes DLC you'll still have to download the update to take part in online races and see others use these cars there, right? Meaning these will also be used by AI controlled characters in single player mode when you want to play online?
I would love to see something like this in a global handheld app in the future.
It would be a huge nod towards game music if every track you've unlocked in a game went into a global player with some easy-to-use playlist creation, a random mode and the ability to delete these tracks if you don't like 'em.
For me that would definitely make it easier to justify paying the kinda high prices for games.
One option is a subscription service that entitles gamers to choose a set number of games per month at a reasonable discount — $10 a month (renewed each month, not an ongoing or annual commitment) could perhaps allow picks of three GBA games, three SNES, four NES or a mixture across platforms
I'd like something along these lines. That price wouldn't make me mind that i can't play the GBA on the 3DS too. That wouldn't be much of a problem if cross-buy was in full effect though.
Another thing that makes it hard to justify paying that much for GBA games is that they're missing the multiplayer features for two-player games. Wouldn't that be the perfect showcase for the GamePad when it comes to games people already love a lot?
Even if you're willing to take the small risk of bricking your system when using this the question would be if it has any effect on your digital purchases. Could you be sure that you can download all of them on a new 3DS?
The Knuckles approach sounds perfectly reasonable for this game. I agree that if they would've shied away from making a change it would probably make the game less intuitive and charming.
So this is just a "get the highest score possible", not a "you can actually beat it" type of game, right?
If so i'll probably wait for a discount since i rarely play these games more than once.
Could also have been nice if you could control your shots with the touchscreen and/or Wii Remote per pointer on screen.
I do think that Wii Sports Club and NES Remix deserve their places on the svelves of retailers.
People who aren't keeping up with gaming might see them in a store, be reminded of the good times they had with the NES or Wii Sports and become interested in a Wii U. These people might also be more interested in the 8 GB model of the Wii U and not too fond of getting an external HDD just to play one or two games.
I don't think this goes for a considerable amount of people but the concept isn't bad.
I've still got problems to figure how a lot of these will work with other games. Link DLC sounds strange for a Zelda game. So does Samus DLC for a Metroid game.
Dangit, forgot Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games in my comment the last time. It might not be the best game ever made. But is has winter. Which is always great to have in summer.

@SanderEvers You don't happen to have a source for that, now do you?
Re: New Nintendo 3DS Models Announced
Big question in the room for me is if the second anlague will work with CPP games.
Re: Nintendo Confirms amiibo Launch Range of 12 Figurines
No Captain Falcon yet. amiibo most likely has nothing to do with the MK8's F-Zero vehicle and probable November track then.
Re: Nintendo's Unity Presentation Confirms Critically Acclaimed Gone Home for Wii U eShop
If i've done the math right that makes 63% of Wii U owners that have visited the eShop and about 4 to 14 per cent of female Wii U owners.
Re: Review: Life Force (Wii U eShop / NES)
Pretty sure i'd get this if it were available on the European Wii U.

@TimLatshaw Thanks.
That means that if i ever get it i'll probably try to beat (any maybe complete) it with each individual fighter.
Re: Review: Amida's Path (DSiWare)
Might still be a reason to visit the old DSi Shop again if it releases in Europe.
Re: Tappingo 2 Release Pushed Back a Week on Nintendo of America's Advice
I don't think any other game could hold me back from getting this the day it's released in Europe.

I'll probably get both Kirby's Dream Land games and Rumble U.
Re: Alone In The Dark is Set for Yet Another Comeback
I'll start lamenting once there's good footage of it on the OneStations.
Re: Resident Evil Revelations 2 Assets Spotted
If i had to decide i'd prefer a Wii U version tbh. The 3DS game was great, but big screen all the way for this.

Re: You Won't Need To Track Too Much Treasure To Buy Captain Toad
Sounds exactly like the right pricing so far. I think it will appeal to more people this way.
Re: Review: Strike Force Foxx (3DS eShop)
Sounds and looks to me like Super Army War (Glory Days in Europe) on the GBA or its sequel and the DS is the better choice
Re: Feature: Where Are The Super Nintendo 3D Classics?
Needs more A Link to the Past, Yoshi's Island, Mega Man X, Contra III and Kid Klown in Crazy Chase.
