@SteamEngenius I thought the same but that doesn’t bother me to be honest. However The animations are looking a little rigid somehow. Can’t put my finger on it. That bothers me more. Hopefully it is ironed out.
In his one example he gives I can’t fault the transaction. He has designed a thing and people may want to purchase it. Using blockchain from my understanding makes the transaction unique and so Reggie would no longer have the island and would have to rebuild from scratch.
However, there is still the environmental impact and it seems wholly unnecessary to incorporate these new systems that don’t really do anything new other than create new money streams.
It’s also naive to think that this new tech wouldn’t be used in far less consumer friendly ways just like DLC, micro transactions and loot boxes have all demonstrated.
Lastly, there is the example of that Pokémon rip-off that was big in the Philippines. The article I read outlined an ecosystem with landlords and workers and it was truly terrifying. It’s still a hard pass.
@nessisonett I was thinking exactly the same thing. Would be like asking someone who is middle class to pay a £20 fine. Doesn’t remotely dent the pocket. And when you factor how long this has been going on for before it became so public it’s just outrageous.
The payout should be much higher and individuals need to held to account and named in a more formal capacity. The organisation even if under new management should be put on notice with clear tangible objectives in place within a set timeframe or risk incurring further more intrusive action.
@RasandeRose if tough on crime worked America wouldn’t have one of the largest number of prisoners for so long. Even accounting for the long prison sentences. Reoffending and a growing prison population run counter to this argument. Intuitively it makes sense to the general public who aren’t going to read up about it and as a policy it plays well during elections.
Victoria England hung poor people for minor infractions such as stealing and crime continued to soar as did the rate of capital punishment. Would indicate underlying issues generally push people into crime or make people unsuspecting criminals
@inenai Its not just the energy consumption that worries people. I can think of a dozen different ways that this will be used in very negative ways. Take the example cited in original article: resell items, now how will that be implemented? I can easily picture scenarios where limited edition items/weapons are obtained and sold at extravagant rates where ubisoft and co takes a cut again and again. So now developers are told to design games in a way that focuses on creating in game items that are ether rare or so grindy to obtain that people will pay up, unlike current models that facilitate this everything goes through the developer incentivizing greatly the game itself.
Level design games like Mario maker, now you have to pay for the levels (I dont think nintendo personally will do this but who knows)
Each of the big devs or platform holders could create their own crypto currency and tie it to their games, now all the purchases in in-game shops require this currency and now you have an example of the new 'Meta Verse' internet. Everything will be capitalized beyond recognition.
Finally people are doomer about this change because we just had loot boxs, microtransactions etc. Even DLC was originally implemented in negative ways and that should have been a very uncontroversial addition to gaming from the start.

@TMG44 I agree with your point but I don’t think it applies to a publisher the size of activision. If one of the big three bought Team Cherry (hollow knight) for example then that would no doubt open the door for them to expand the number of staff and maybe feel more comfortable creating a 3D game that they had in mind but lacked the resources and/or were risk adverse. I don’t think activisions output has been limited by money or resources.
You could argue that Microsoft might put more input in terms of direction that inspires new ips. Time will tell. In this regard I feel Nintendo could have more of an affect on such a publisher because they seem to have such a different approach to how they build games. Looking at Smash and splatoon as obvious examples of how Nintendo re-examined two very entrenched genres.
But I don’t think Nintendo should buy such a large publisher because they should remain independent to increase the likely hood that we see more multiplatform IPs.
I really don’t like this move. Feels like Microsoft isn’t really contributing to the gaming space in a way I respect ie continue to create new ips and games that stand the test of time. Instead they just want to create a monopoly. With that monopoly they want to change the current set up of gaming to an exclusively subscription based model. I wouldn’t be surprised if they want to stop making Xbox’s and migrate their game pass exclusively to PC and maybe compete against steam.

I was lucky enough to be in Tokyo when they opened their first store in Shibuya 2019.
It didn’t cost me anything to get in, I turned up and got a ticket from a person outside the building and then waited for my allotted time. It was nice seeing all that merch
I kind of love reading the comments on this site because there are so many illogically bad takes it’s unreal.
First few comments at the top basically suggest a group of workers motivated to tear down the company because they have a critically and commercially successful title. Let’s completely ignore the fact that similar complaints were made about the same company several years ago which is mentioned in the article.
Then we have the hot take that, what the complaints are simply describing is the real adult world and that they just can’t cope.
I can’t help but feel you are telling on yourself and are a terrible person to work under or you are a teenager clueless of how work places should function or you have no standards for yourself and think working in terrible conditions is what work is.
So little empathy and want for change among people who most likely make up the working classes is so sad and pathetic.
Let’s be honest. There is probably lots of truth to everything Bloomberg has reported on. It’s just a matter of does Nintendo put this system out or drop it. But if third party devs really are being told to develop for it sounds like a done deal.
@Strictlystyles I don’t blame Netflix I understand that the legacy providers decided to jump on board and remove their content from Netflix and it also encouraged new entries like Amazon. I was simply referencing how Netflix was original touted by its owners at its inception.
Sky has definitely lost some relevance in the uk and pricing has been more competitive. They are no longer the alternative to standard terrestrial tv here. I have even subbed to Sky Now for GoT and other HBO shows occasionally and gladly unsubscribe when the shows finish something not possible in the 90s and 00s.
I hate piracy because I’m my experience it leads to greater risk of malware and spyware. So far I’m using a friends account of Disney and I share my Netflix with 3 people. I feel this will come to an end not long now.
@HeadPirate sorry my stance may not have been clear but I’m gonna be charitable to myself and quote a line from my reply:
“ customers should rightly argue that they don’t lose certain rights simply because said media is now digital.”
My argument was not against digital outright but against its implementation and by extension a defence of people hesitant towards digital only. Users rights to their purchases being reduced to a license is a not defendable in my opinion and I foresee issues in the decades to come. I hope I’m wrong.
Yes, I used examples of buying physical but that was to highlight my critiques of digital not to dismiss digital entirely. I think confirmation bias wasn’t the problem but the mistake of placing my arguments as being direct opposition of yours despite me not making that argument.
To be clear, I have bought loads of digital games as well as physical ones this gen. but instances like mario run not playing because I have no reception even though I have paid to have rights to access it is something I think we should collectively fight against.
And whilst I don’t expect companies to maintain my digital purchase forever (although why couldn’t a method be devised so that we could redownload our books etc onto different platforms only covering the cost of the energy to make this happen, a different debate) I think if digital platforms like kindle for books of iTunes for music collapse its potentially goodbye to purchases.
Theoretically digital only could have provided: lower costs, forever access (complicated for video games on closed platforms I know) whilst maintaining our ability to sell our media and or pass it on. Possibly even loan our stuff. The reason we don’t is profits.
What I am very cave man about and I don’t care how much you condescend down to me is a loathe for a future where we don’t even buy licenses we simply subscribe to everything.
I refuse. It’s why I no longer use Adobe suite instead opting for Serif. I don’t use most apps that require subs I will never sub to use excel or word. I bought a version and it will have to do forever if they stop selling it.
@HeadPirate I agree with a number of your points but there is a genuine concern and discussion to be had about the pitfalls of a digital only environment especially the way platform holders and distributors have set the current T&Cs firmly in their favour.
Firstly, you can say no one owns the rights to their physical copies but you could definitely legally sell, borrow and store indefinitely as you pleased after making one singular purchase (in the uk anyway)
Now I can spend the same amount purchasing my music library digitally but have less rights to pass this on to family friends or children. Legally it might not be possible. If the platform goes bust I don’t believe I have the legal right to ensure my music is transferred away to another platform open or closed to maintain my selection.
I don’t believe the argument that physical forms of media deteriorate with time justifies that customers should be comfortable knowing their current licenses can be invoked in the future or that this is some kind of equivalence.
No one owes anyone their preferred form of media but people should rightly argue that they don’t lose certain rights simply because said media is now digital.
DRM is another issue. Insisting people have online connectivity always for certain products is also crazy. User made workarounds are not the solution for the public. Mandated rights that protect consumers and set a clear unified policy of rights
Not a fan of this move and I’m a subscriber so I will have access (unless it is part of a new tiered membership that will cost more)
Am I the only one who thinks we are back sliding. As a teenager I was really liking the original concept of Netflix and how it could be the singular platform for all entertainment and a middle finger to Sky (satellite broadcaster) fast forward and we have 6 different streamers all with exclusive content and now we might end up with 5/6 game streamers.
I fear my generation and younger will retire have no entertainment possessions. No film, music, books or games we can access without paying to maintain it. Might even struggle to hold onto our private photos and videos of family memories if we rely too much on cloud storage.
Dread, Mario Rabbids and Advance wars for me. Never played advance wars but l have discovered in recent years that I really like tacticle games like this one. Really hate the art style so generic and cheap looking.
Maybe monster Hunter but not sure about the combat system.
@Ventilator you are completely correct and in that instance he would be within his rights to ignore / respond to that
Although Developers shouldn’t be harassed full stop.
But right now he is frustrated by perfectly legit speculation about a game no one has ever seen but was started sometime in 2017. I maintain his frustration should be directed with Nintendo if they are holding back any further reveal.
The game was announced in 2017. Since then no trailer, no screen shots and no title. Lol, he should be very frustrated with Nintendo for supposedly putting him in this situation. They shouldn’t have said anything. I think the first time any publisher mentions a new title it with some trailer like BOTW2. Anything else is dumb.
I will buy day one if I can get my hands on one. One of the things from a graphical stand point that really bugs me is the formation of the landscape and pop in you see in BOTW. Really hated it. Hoping the new machine can reduce this issue somewhat. Prettier games with steady frame rates are always welcome
It is extremely ugly. That’s a very strong green. Probably would have looked better had they imitated the parallel lines to imitate the warp pipes. But still bad colour for urban landscaping.
The green is almost luminous it doesn’t imitate natural greens we are use to seeing so it makes the pots really contrast with the surroundings in a very busy way. It’s poor design and I see why people are a little annoyed.
I dread that in 10yrs time every other game will be a AAA free to play rogue lite with loot boxes and you can’t own anything, you have to have a monthly subscription and always on internet connection. If that hell comes to pass then I’m out.
Already feel slightly resentful of the indie scene that has so many interesting games (to me) built as rogue lite games I sadly have to pass. There are a number of trend growing from the past decade in gaming that I loathe.
I liked season 3 although I admit it had the same hurdles to jump similar to sections of GoT and The Wire season 2. Your main players have spread out and you need to build on their arcs to bring them back together. It was more chill but still entertaining.
I think this is the best video game adaptation I have ever seen and generally a really well done show. I can’t wait as it looks epic.
Visited this shop in 2019 and it was a little tardis of history, quite something. The fact I can’t read Japanese means my wallet is safe. I did buy a pair of mario socks. People should definitely visit if they get the chance to go to Japan.
@BenAV really bizarre to me that they released the demo.
How could they believe that people would come away from the demo and want to buy the game at launch. Total opposite approach to the devs of cyberpunk who did their best to hide the problems their game was having on PS4 xbox1 (or whatever the older Xbox is called)
From a business perspective it was a terrible decision
@Muh-ario
At this point we are having different conversations. I never once talked about the legality of his content or mentioned the word sexual abuse. Predatory is not a simile of sexual abuse. I was very careful with what words I used yet you came away from my written statement with positions I never stated or believe or remotely implied.
In my first post I wrote “that’s pure capitalism which I know many of you would die for”
I don’t know how you could read that and not pick up on the obvious sarcasm. I was making fun of people who approach such a topic with their idea of pure objectivity like they are the next Jordan Peterson. But whatever. To say I’m hiding behind a capitalism argument when I explicitly wrote in my response to you that I find PUA creepy is wild.
Citing YT and twitch means nothing to me. They are social media platforms with their own TOS. Playing a game as opposed to watching someone play a game and apply commentary are two different things. With the amount of antisemitism, white nationalism running wild on YT I don’t see it as an example of a strict TOS. that’s just me though so. ..
I see no equivalence between games that depict graphic sex and the ideology of coercing women to date/sleep with you. I have no hang ups about nudity or consensual sex. If grown adults want media that deals with that then fine. There are games on Nintendo platforms that seem obsessed with sexualising pubescent girls which I also think is gross. I have said as such but those two issues can exist at the same time. I’m not sure why I can’t voice my opinion on this because there is other questionable content out there.
Capitalism does not operate in an objective bubble. Small and large businesses have always responded to public demand including the morality of the day. That’s why the NFL tried to originally clamp down on BLM protests from their players to appease their large white fan base and why Nike chose Kapernick to be their ambassador to appeal to their large black user base. Both sides cashing in on the moral stance of their base. What Nintendo did does not meet the definition of Corporatism. Part of its definition is that it is a political system. Japan is a parliamentary system with the same capitalist economy like mine.
So let’s leave it their you can continue to defend the game and simultaneously accuse me of making wild accusations about the game I never said, never wrote, never implied. And I will critique the content and hope in the future I come across someone who is capable of addressing the points being made and not everything else.
@Letzg077 I’m going to entertain this just this once.
No, I haven’t openly criticised people online or in person for being upset about the missing Pokémon. I didn’t care enough. The argument was about digital creatures and my comments today are about who real humans interact with one another and what we teach young men.
Even if I had criticised people over Pokémon that isn’t proof I’m contrarian because the two issues are not comparable in the slightest.
That’s my last response to you because I can’t debate children.
@Letzg077 I don’t even know how to respond to this. This is insane.
You just randomly use a straw man argument completely unrelated to the topic. That’s wild but also kind of audacious. I almost respect it.
I’m going to assume you’re not familiar with the term because of the wild and obvious example you just used so here:
“having the impression of refuting an argument, whereas the proper idea of the argument under discussion was not addressed or properly refuted.”
Eg: don’t state my positions for me without any proof just to win an argument or invalidate my position. And if you must at least stay on topic. If you ever have children in the future please don’t teach them about the birds and the bees whilst referencing the mating practices of Pokémon.
PS not everything deserves the same level of response. A debate about how we teach men to interact with women in ways that could cause harm is not on the same level as a debate on what gen Pokémon are included in a game. It is truly sad to me that you see an equivalence in these two topics.
No. Your post reveals the number one issue with people who don’t like to hear criticism
, you interject yourself personally into the argument that has nothing to do with you personally.
I say “I think this game is creepy and morally suspect”
You say “why are you the arbiter of morality or/and what is on sale” it’s as if you feel personally judged because you don’t have a problem with the game or content he puts out. It’s not about you.
Did I sign a petition to ban the game? Am I a top exec at Nintendo with influence? Did I criticise those like his games or books. Did I declare myself superior to them. NO I DID NOT
Comment #153 is the kind of comment I was referring to (which you claim isn’t a thing) there are a number of these above my comments
I didn’t technically even state my position. I simply defended my right to critique a game the same as those who harp on about freedom of expression. I highlighted the contradiction to expose the weak argument used to shut debate down.
For clarity I do think all pick up artists are creepy men teaching others to be predatory and making society a little more unsafe for women. Please note, this opinion doesn’t critique yours or anyone’s relationship to pick up artists. You could make an educated guess how I feel but you don’t actually have the answer.
In my last post I touched on how the game is an extension of his brand, including the books he has published. In his book he promotes techniques I would say are predatory such as negging and increased physical contact. The game cannot be ringfenced from the rest of his work because it’s the same branding and subject matter. So saying the game is just fun or a joke seems silly to me.
You don’t understand capitalism is all I can say to your last point. You have this naive idea that it’s a purely democratic system of delivering goods to people. Companies have always concerned themselves with reputation and image - to sell more. It’s the reason there are little to no porn games on consoles. Why Nintendo added no political messaging allowed in online animal crossing so that the potential sale of the game in China wasn’t affected. It’s partly why gay representation was almost non existent for many decades in tv and film etc etc. By your understanding we have been living with capitalism fascism our whole lives (whatever that means lol)
The comments read like a hot mess of contradictions and false equivalences.
On one hand we have the typical freedom of expression, no to censorship argument advocates. So many of them typically follow this up with a declaration demanding people stop complaining and criticising the game based on any moral or political narrative. So basically don’t express yourself.
We have the just a joke defence. His brand involves books on how to “pick up women” the game is an extension of his established brand. It’s not a joke but more of an extension of his grift - to push a narrative on boys/men who may feel lonely /clueless in social interactions with women.
The argument that those with critiques are sensitive is weak. Often, it’s because people can’t adequately argue against the points being made. These comments often read as someone who is deeply triggered that anyone would have something to complain about.
He can advocate that men should engage in creepy behaviour all day long and I can criticise it all day long. We both have that right.
Nintendo has the right to set its own TOS. That’s pure capitalism which I know a lot of you would die for.
@Chris77 I failed at the beginner hunt in the demo several times lol. When I did defeat great Izuchi it took me a looot of the 50 min time slot.
I suggest you stick with the demo and it can go one of two ways. You start to get a feel/love for it or it’s just not for you. I put 10 hours in the demo I think but it paid of as I haven’t fainted more then 3 times In the main game I think.
2 of those came about from the arena challenge where you have a limited number of weapons to choose and I wasn’t familiar with any of them.
Famitsu gave it 38/40. I wonder if they will release a DLSS patch after the switch pro drops. Graphically the game looks very good but some of the textures up close look a little roughy. The monsters however look amazing. My biggest issue graphically is the tiling effect of land and water. It’s really off putting to me.
So, I did some basic research and the best first week sales of a MH title was on the PSP - MH portable 3rd selling over 2.15million. MH world sold 2million (physical and digital combined) which at the time was super impressive considering there were only 6 million PS4 owners in Japan at the time.
With all that considered, I’m guessing, with the switch being a hybrid, the instal base being 19mil and with COVID still a thing. MH Rise will sell 3.5 million week 1 (providing they have enough copies in stores.)
Has a game ever sold that many in Japan week 1, am I being way to conservative?? I’m very curious.
Switch (if they have the units) could do Xmas numbers maybe?
@Thoughts LG bought and own a specific patent on OLED panels that yielded high success rates for large panels suitable for TVs. In recent years all the big brands source these panels and make their own OLED tv range using LGs panels. They use their own stand and speaker design, motion engine and TV OS etc to distinguish their ranges.
Small OLED panels have been manufactured by Samsung and others for a while as they were always easier to do.
Sony was in fact the first to market with a 20 inch OLED tv that I saw in a department store costing 20K like a decade ago.
I played 40 hours of the first one because I really like the combat. The town design is very pretty. I liked the way they implemented the dual job system but I never finished it because of glaring issues:
I realised I was not invested in the story at all and the over voice acting was annoying AF.
The dungeons were aggressively boring and left no impression.
Changing jobs when and as you discovered new ones is horrible as you have to grind all over again. You should be able to transfer Job points.
The demo of this new game has ugly character designs and the voice acting is possibly worse
I own an unopened copy of MH stories that I bought on a whim so that I exceeded a certain value to trigger interest free shopping. I will definitely play it as soon as I’m sold on both rise (preordered) and stories 2.
The arguments used about kids and them being exposed to LGBT are weak when explored and in my opinion are often used to mask a persons homophobia. “I don’t have a problem but think of the kids”
If kids can learn that people form relationships then they can learn that this can be done within same sex unions. If it triggers confusion it will be a confusion as to whether they have an interest in people of the same sex. They should take the time to understand themselves.
Interesting conversations taking place with very boring incorrect opinions being sprinkled all over the place.
Let me settle this once and for all for I am the authority (JOKE!)
The word Woke was appropriated into black lexicon by communities in America to maintain awareness that the civil rights movement was still prevalent. It was used internally within black communities. The term caught on and then had its second (black) meaning completely muddled to the point where it means very little by meaning 100 different things.
Bigotry as defined by most dictionaries is the unreasonable belief/attitude to a person usually based on a membership a person is part of. The Russian government signalling games out for homosexual content in this way can clearly be argued as bigotry. The fact that putins government has made comparisons of homosexuality to illegal offences I can’t write in the comments cements their bigotry stance.
@BenAV Square are on a roll on selecting names that could potentially detract from sales. I thought the switch Bravely Default was a remake of the 3DS game at first. The naming convention is somehow more confusing than the Xbox names.
This was my favourite announcement by far. Although considering the direct as a whole there wasn’t much competition. I didn’t play Octo path but the tactical battle system looks really good. Voice acting sounds miles better than Bravely Default.
I really liked this game on the wii but they need to remove the padding they crammed into the end of the game to make it longer. It really detracts from the experience. Also the birds need to be faster and more enjoyable to use.
I really hate that Nintendo only ups the resolution of past games and doesn’t do a lot of remasters

Let’s be honest. There is probably lots of truth to everything Bloomberg has reported on. It’s just a matter of does Nintendo put this system out or drop it. But if third party devs really are being told to develop for it sounds like a done deal.
Re: Streaming Giant Netflix Acquires Its First Video Game Developer
Re: Streaming Giant Netflix Acquires Its First Video Game Developer
Re: Streaming Giant Netflix Acquires Its First Video Game Developer
@HeadPirate
I agree with a number of your points but there is a genuine concern and discussion to be had about the pitfalls of a digital only environment especially the way platform holders and distributors have set the current T&Cs firmly in their favour.
Re: Streaming Giant Netflix Acquires Its First Video Game Developer
Re: Japanese Charts: Mario Golf: Super Rush Claims Top Spot In Its Launch Week
Woah. Over 2k units sold of the Xbox Series X is that normal in recent times?
Re: New Nintendo Infographic Shows Every Game Featured During The E3 Direct
Dread, Mario Rabbids and Advance wars for me. Never played advance wars but l have discovered in recent years that I really like tacticle games like this one. Really hate the art style so generic and cheap looking.
Maybe monster Hunter but not sure about the combat system.
Re: Hideki Kamiya Shares Irritation At Speculation Over Bayonetta 3
@Ventilator you are completely correct and in that instance he would be within his rights to ignore / respond to that
Although Developers shouldn’t be harassed full stop.
But right now he is frustrated by perfectly legit speculation about a game no one has ever seen but was started sometime in 2017. I maintain his frustration should be directed with Nintendo if they are holding back any further reveal.
Re: Hideki Kamiya Shares Irritation At Speculation Over Bayonetta 3
The game was announced in 2017. Since then no trailer, no screen shots and no title. Lol, he should be very frustrated with Nintendo for supposedly putting him in this situation. They shouldn’t have said anything. I think the first time any publisher mentions a new title it with some trailer like BOTW2. Anything else is dumb.
Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch 'Pro' Reveal Expected Before E3, Out This Year
I will buy day one if I can get my hands on one. One of the things from a graphical stand point that really bugs me is the formation of the landscape and pop in you see in BOTW. Really hated it. Hoping the new machine can reduce this issue somewhat. Prettier games with steady frame rates are always welcome
Re: Random: Local Council Installs Plant Pots That Look Like Mario Warp Pipes, And Residents Aren't Happy
Re: Ubisoft Has Major Free-To-Play Plans Across "All" Franchises And Platforms
I dread that in 10yrs time every other game will be a AAA free to play rogue lite with loot boxes and you can’t own anything, you have to have a monthly subscription and always on internet connection. If that hell comes to pass then I’m out.
Already feel slightly resentful of the indie scene that has so many interesting games (to me) built as rogue lite games I sadly have to pass. There are a number of trend growing from the past decade in gaming that I loathe.
Re: Nintendo Acknowledges Blue Switch Lite Colour Argument With Handy Comparison Video
To me it’s clearly a blue that leans towards red and very far from light blue and greens giving it a hint of purple but still firmly blue.
Not a blue that I gravitate towards but I guess not everything can be related to navy blue.
Re: Netflix Releases Official Trailer For Fourth And Final Season Of Castlevania
Re: Japanese Charts: Monster Hunter Rise Loses Out On Top Spot For The First Time Since Launch
MH Rise is tracking above the MH world on PS4 (Japan only sales) not as mush as I thought. The ratio between world and PS4 was much higher I believe.
In any case this is a resounding debunk that top tier third party games cannot sell super well on switch. I’m very happy with my purchase
Re: Super Potato, Japan's Legendary Game Store, Opens Its Very Own International eBay Shop
Visited this shop in 2019 and it was a little tardis of history, quite something. The fact I can’t read Japanese means my wallet is safe. I did buy a pair of mario socks. People should definitely visit if they get the chance to go to Japan.
Re: The Balan Wonderworld Demo Is Being Taken Down Today
@BenAV really bizarre to me that they released the demo.
How could they believe that people would come away from the demo and want to buy the game at launch. Total opposite approach to the devs of cyberpunk who did their best to hide the problems their game was having on PS4 xbox1 (or whatever the older Xbox is called)
From a business perspective it was a terrible decision
Re: Super Seducer 1 & 2 Refused By Nintendo Due To "Explicit Content"
@Muh-ario
Re: Super Seducer 1 & 2 Refused By Nintendo Due To "Explicit Content"
@Letzg077
I’m going to entertain this just this once.
Re: Super Seducer 1 & 2 Refused By Nintendo Due To "Explicit Content"
Re: Super Seducer 1 & 2 Refused By Nintendo Due To "Explicit Content"
@Muh-ario
Re: Super Seducer 1 & 2 Refused By Nintendo Due To "Explicit Content"
Re: Monster Hunter Rise Ships Four Million Units In Opening Weekend
@Chris77 I failed at the beginner hunt in the demo several times lol. When I did defeat great Izuchi it took me a looot of the 50 min time slot.
I suggest you stick with the demo and it can go one of two ways. You start to get a feel/love for it or it’s just not for you. I put 10 hours in the demo I think but it paid of as I haven’t fainted more then 3 times In the main game I think.
2 of those came about from the arena challenge where you have a limited number of weapons to choose and I wasn’t familiar with any of them.
Re: Round Up: The Monster Hunter Rise Reviews Are In
Famitsu gave it 38/40. I wonder if they will release a DLSS patch after the switch pro drops. Graphically the game looks very good but some of the textures up close look a little roughy. The monsters however look amazing. My biggest issue graphically is the tiling effect of land and water. It’s really off putting to me.
Still can’t wait to play it this friday
Re: Disco Elysium: The Final Cut Is Refused Classification In Australia
‘in such a way that they offend against the standards of morality, decency and propriety generally accepted by reasonable adults’
1950s conservative morality cringe needs to be binned pronto. Such vague language. Completely open to wide range of interpretation. It’s absurd.
Re: Japanese Charts: Another Perfect Week For Nintendo Sees Super Mario 3D World On Top
Re: Samsung To "Aggressively Position" OLED Tech Across Promising Market Sectors Including "Gaming Console Segments"
@Thoughts
LG bought and own a specific patent on OLED panels that yielded high success rates for large panels suitable for TVs.
Re: Poll: Bravely Default II Is Out Today On Switch, Are You Getting It?
I played 40 hours of the first one because I really like the combat. The town design is very pretty. I liked the way they implemented the dual job system but I never finished it because of glaring issues:
I realised I was not invested in the story at all and the over voice acting was annoying AF.
The dungeons were aggressively boring and left no impression.
Changing jobs when and as you discovered new ones is horrible as you have to grind all over again. You should be able to transfer Job points.
The demo of this new game has ugly character designs and the voice acting is possibly worse
Re: Capcom Will Broadcast Three Monster Hunter Live Streams Next Month
I own an unopened copy of MH stories that I bought on a whim so that I exceeded a certain value to trigger interest free shopping. I will definitely play it as soon as I’m sold on both rise (preordered) and stories 2.
Re: Miitopia Has An 18+ Rating In Russia Because Of Its Same-Sex Relationships
The arguments used about kids and them being exposed to LGBT are weak when explored and in my opinion are often used to mask a persons homophobia. “I don’t have a problem but think of the kids”
If kids can learn that people form relationships then they can learn that this can be done within same sex unions. If it triggers confusion it will be a confusion as to whether they have an interest in people of the same sex. They should take the time to understand themselves.
Re: Miitopia Has An 18+ Rating In Russia Because Of Its Same-Sex Relationships
Criticising a persons bigotry isn’t bigotry lol.
Re: Switch Exclusive Project Triangle Strategy Looks Set To Scratch That Final Fantasy Tactics Itch
@BenAV Square are on a roll on selecting names that could potentially detract from sales. I thought the switch Bravely Default was a remake of the 3DS game at first. The naming convention is somehow more confusing than the Xbox names.
Re: Switch Exclusive Project Triangle Strategy Looks Set To Scratch That Final Fantasy Tactics Itch
This was my favourite announcement by far. Although considering the direct as a whole there wasn’t much competition. I didn’t play Octo path but the tactical battle system looks really good. Voice acting sounds miles better than Bravely Default.
Re: Nintendo Reveals Splatoon 3, Coming To Switch In 2022
I don’t understand their announcement system at all. So we have Metroid 4 announced as a title and then delayed so understandably no footage.
BOTW small trailer with no gameplay and then absent for 2 years
Bayonetta with barely more than a title and also MIA
Now this announcement for next year. Really bizarre to me. But looks promising.
Re: Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Hits Switch This July Alongside Themed Joy-Con
I really liked this game on the wii but they need to remove the padding they crammed into the end of the game to make it longer. It really detracts from the experience. Also the birds need to be faster and more enjoyable to use.
I really hate that Nintendo only ups the resolution of past games and doesn’t do a lot of remasters
