I don't like these Nintendo/Apple comaprisons. How many 1st party games has Apple produced: None! To say that a dead man from Cupertino is running the games industry is absurd! Nintendo will weather this storm, they always do.

Sometimes I wonder if these awards are setup to deliberately make Nintendo loose them!

I dread the day Miyamoto's death is announced. Will I still be console gaming then, or will I find out in a probable news report on t.v? This thought has come across me several times over recent years.

Being a lifelong Ninty fan, I can't help but feel myself well up on this sad day. I have so many happy memories of playing my NES and SNES when I was young. Little did I know of the boss of Nintendo at that time, I can at least now appreciate the greatness of the man that gave me so many magical memories back then. And that I get all nostalgic with today when I play games like Mario and so on on my Wii U all these years later.

Peace to you Yamauchi-Sensei, God must be welcoming you to heavrn for the sheer joy and happiness your leadership gave to so many.

Well... I was going to download Super Little Acorns 3D Turbo tonight, but now that it has a temporary discount I'll have to wait to Thursday so I can save money. Hmm.. what will I play until then?!

I hope the next Wii U update sorts out the freezing issues I'm having. I Was playing a Wii game in Wii mode and it just frooze, and I had to pull the ac plug out to restart the system. Not good, and it's happened before!

Kids these days... I really worry about them.

Now we just need universal accounts and cross platform downloads so you can take a Wii U VC game on the go on my 3ds at no extra charge!

Nintendo should sort out the eShop full retail game download prices, if they're REALLY serious about digital sales.

I've only downloaded 2 retail games digitally, because 1 was the same price as physical so I thought ¨I can wait for it to come through the post or I can be playing it now¨, and the other was because of a buy 3 get 1 free download promotion. I got Animal Crossing as the free download, for the same reasons as Reggie, but I'd wager that a lot of the 30% ACNL purchases being digital will be because of the promotion that I got mine from, LOL!

I WILL NOT pay MORE for a digital copy when I can have something to show people on my shelves for significantly less cost. I said I would go all digital with the Wii U, so I was hoping the prices wouldn't be the same debacle that they were for the 3DS, and Nintendo, right enough, made a balls up of the Wii U digital retail pricing, and so far I haven't gotten any Wii U retail games digitally. I mean Your Shape was £15 physical, and more than twice that digitally!

I would love to see unified accounts on my 3DS and Wii U, but I'm certainly not going to hold my breath for it! I think the PS Vita and PS3 have unified accounts. The fact Nintendo says they haven't solved/figured it out yet, leads me to believe the 3DS/Wii U hardware may not be capable of supporting it.

I'm buying more games digitally than ever before (when I include my PC games on Steam and Origin), but I wont be taking down my gaming shelves just yet!

Folk who are worried about losing downloads if your system breaks or gets stolen, I've heard if you contact Nintendo, in the case of theft providing a Police report, they will get your digital purchases restored for you.

Aahhh, I was lead to believe from the site I preordered this from that it was releasing September 13th. Oh well, I've waited over a year for this, what's another week?!

Anyway, this game IS DEFINATELY Worth getting, love it. I've had a whole ton of Yeahs! on Miiverse for my sale demand post.

I'm dissppointed to see M&L Dream Team only in 17th. It's a fantastic game and deserves better sales. Oh, is this the UK charts cause it only released in US last week, so it would be dissapointing if it were the US charts.

As long as theres 100% new levels unlocked when the original leveld are finished. And also that there isn't a difficulty spike in the new levels where I can't make it through a certain platform section, which is what happened in MSF HD with me.

I have this, and it crashes the capture application when you start/stop recording using the physical button on top of the unit. It corrupts the video file, and I've been unable to upload videos without having to replay the game again. I hope this is fixed in an update soon.

Why not ask the other platform holders (Microsoft, Sony) to put content on other platform. I don't see why Nintendo has to be pressured to do it all the time.

At first I feared smartphone and tablet gaming would destroy my preferred gaming on traditional consoles, but I can see the two cohabiting peacefully.

My backlog's too big to justify anything more. I would've got Harvest Moon probably, but I'm getting A New Begining in Mid-Spetember when it's released, so I don't have any more appetite for Harvest moon just now.

@Mainer82 Well, strictly speaking, it's my sisters copy. I've put it on my gaming shelf and kinda claimed it as my own, as she doesn't seem bothered by not having it anymore.

I'm glad they kept the 'hard pogo' controls, as an old school die-hard fan I want them. I tried it out on my NES the other week, and I can still pull it off! Hands, prepare to be crippled when this game's beat.

I have quite a few of these issues in storage, wonder if they're worth anything? (Not that I'd sell them anyway, too many happy childhood memories to part with)

It's interesting to hear how the DTP software and internet have made print games journalism change over the years. We didn't have event reports from game and system launches or expo coverage in those early magazines, because of the way the mags were produced, unlike what we get today (huge expo reports and big events etc.)

Do u have to have a save file with a completed game of the original game to access the dlc. I lost my original save file, and can't be bothered having to start again to play Luigi U!

File sizes don't worry me because I rarely get the digital version due to the huge difference in cost compared to retail. I've downloaded 2 full retail games, 1 that was the same cost retail and digital and the second (AC: New Leaf) which was free from the 'So Many Games Promotion'. Nintendo really need to sort out their digital platform, because like me many people are put off digital mainly because of the pricing policy. I had high hopes of going 100% digital with the Wii U, but I've only downloaded eShop exclusives and got physical copies of all the full retail games I have so far. It's defintely looking like I will continue to get all my 3DS and Wii U full retail games boxed, unless there are more 'So Many Games' style promotions.

I'm surprised in a games media website talking about why Nintendo haven't made Super Mario Galaxy 3. It was stated by Miyamoto himself a long time ago that there was no point in making SMG 3, as they had done everything they wanted with the series, and it was time to move on to new ideas. You must've forgotten about this statement, or you just never heard it.

Anyway, I don't think SM3DW gives us quite the leap in new Mario gameplay that the Galaxy series did, but I like the new features in SM3DW anyway. I'll definitely be playing this on day 1!

This installed itself when I went through an airport, but there was nothing available when it launched. I'll try it again next week when I'm passing through the airport again.

I think some people are getting confused here. The guy is referring to iOS devices (mainly), as it seems today's children are mesmerized by iPad's and iPod touch's. I really do not like playing games (especially a Mario game) on a touch screen only device.

I agree with others, why does it alwaya have to be Nintendo that people recommend put their IP on other devices, the same equally applies to M$ and Sony. I wish people would just stop beating up on Nintendo all the time, the critisism isn't justified and it's unneccessary.

Getting this as a free download as part of the European 'So Many Games' promotion. Can't wait, the 1GB download will be an excruciating wait!

The DS may have sold a similar amount of systems as, say, the PS2 but the DS software sales were way below the PS2's because of the R4 card. Hopefully this wont be as big a problem with the 3DS's more advanced online blocking the cards with automatic updates.

I prefer to buy my 3DS games as the money isn't an issue and I enjoy having the real thing in a collection.

Longer GamePad battery life upgrade for sure. Will be keeping close eye on a western release, cause 5 hours isn't good for longer sessions without having to have the ac plugged in.

Getting the DLC for sure, and welcome the Pro controller support. Does anyone know if u need a save file with the game finished to use the DLC, as I've lost my save file.

I liked the Gamepad and Wiimotes setup in NintendoLand with Sweet day, Mario chase and Ghost Mansion. My friends and family were instantly comfortable with it and knew what to do, even when we had turns being the gamepad player.

I would like to see more asymetrical gameplay like that, I haven't seen much since NintendoLand, but I think it's on the way with games like Game and Wario.

Anyone know a rough release date for Europe. I know it's been finally confirmed for Europe, but no stores have it for pre-order (Amzon says 'out of stock').

If it's at least as good as Colours, then I'll play Lost world.

The only games I care for in that report are the Sonic ones, EA and Activision can go to hell in a hand cart for all I care (although that's bad for the Wii U platform).

I highly doubt Sumo Digital is making the next Mario Kart.

Seems ridiculous that they release it on last gen systems and not the Wii U, surely to God the Wii U isn't SO underpowered that it can't run a game that runs on PS360?!

Seeing as this survey was commisioned by confused.com who have that 'fat tennor singer who can't sing' who used to appear in their tv ads but is now banned due to complaints, I would be a little cautious about their conclusions. They're just trying to figure out if youngsters are any more likely to give away their personal details so they can bombard them with sales and marketing crap.
