Re: Level-5 Will Finally Share News On Its Upcoming Titles In 'Vision 2026' Showcase

@SillyG already had it downloaded on my switch 2 digitally and fell in love with it so wanted it for my physical collection. Had to order it from play Asia and import it as the physical is only available in Japan and the box is in Japanese. So have never had the need to use the cartridge. Not sure you intended it, but your comment came off quite judgemental / made me feel like I’m being stupid. Maybe something to consider for the future.

Completed links awakening for the first time this week. Not your typical Zelda game this one. But loved it all the same!

I’m now between games as I wait for my 3ds to arrive to start playing monster hunter stories 1

Other than that, me and the wife will give the final boss of sunderfolk a run for her money tonight after playing the entire story collab for about a year, we will start DKB coop once we beat that

I’m also tempted to bosh out ocarina of time on my analogue 3d as I have the bug for more Zelda but doubt I’ll get time with my young daughter and family visiting… but it won’t stop me trying!!

Happy gaming everyone

I’m in my second week with links awakening remake, squeezing in a few hours before work each morning after getting up early to spend time with/ feed my newborn daughter, and what a great time I’ve been having!
I now have only 3 more instruments / dungeons to complete as I size up the dungeon in tal tal mountains. Loved it so far.

Aswell as this, my wife and I are on the final
boss of our collab play through the lovely SRPG Sunderfolk on my switch 2 too !

Happy gaming all!

Monster Hunter stories 1 just arrived for my new Nintendo 3ds, so that will be my holiday treat this weekend whilst I’m on a break in English countryside with my family.

I’ve also been playing links awakening remake all week and loving it. Just finished the bottle grotto dungeon and got the Pegasus boots and loving life. Got a bit stuck with the hidden door you need to find with your sword and then bomb but I got there in the end!

Happy gaming everyone!

Just rolled credits on my 120 hour save on fire emblem engage, hard and classic mode.

I wasn’t sure about it at first but the more I invested in it the more I really enjoyed it. The game play is quality in this one, it’s much less about the story and supports.

When credits rolled it told me that I spent 6 hours playing the final battle, no spoilers but it was a banger.

Trying to work out what to play next… links awakening remake, link to the past, donkey Kong and pokopia are all contenders right now…….

Happy gaming everyone!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (27th December)

Finally completed everything I wanted to in fantasy life… am hero rank on all gathering and crafting lives + merc life. Loved the 120+ hours I’ve spent with the game but I’m gonna need to break away from it for the rest of the holiday season even if the new DLC has just dropped.

I’m now juggling diddy Kong racing (approaching the final boss in adventure mode on my analogue 3D) and have dipped my toes into Pokemon ZA to be pleasantly surprised at how fun it is, which will be my two core games for the rest of the break.

Elsewhere my wife and I are playing For The King 2 whilst enjoying every moment with our 1.5 weeks old baby daughter <3

I’ve also got snowboard kids 1 in the rafters to inject a little xmas cheer for the next few days!

Happy gaming (and holidays!) all xx

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (29th November)

My analogue 3D arrived! This weekend has been:
Diddy Kong Racing - now fighting for the third amulet in adventure mode and having a fantastic time

Fantasy life - end game grind to fight a boss with rare drops to allow me to achieve hero rank in the last two lives, at which point I will take a break from the game to play others as this has had me in a headlock since August

Happy gaming everyone!

Making more progress on ZA. Fun so far but haven’t sunk enough in to fully open up yet.

This is mainly cos I’m still distracted heavily by the fantastic fantasy life i post game on switch 2. I’ve now almost got hero rank in every gathering and crafting class after a big session the last two nights. The goal is to have hero rank in gathering and crafting and mercenary and then take a break and catch up on some other games so I’m in a great place for the DLC this December.

I have DKB, sunderfolk, FE engage and Tony hawk 3+4 waiting in the rafters too…!

Happy gaming all! X

Re: Feature: "We Have Absolutely No Intention Of Neglecting Her" - Persona 3 Reload Devs On FeMC And Porting To Switch 2

kid_keo

@Pillowpants as someone who had never played a persona game before and started on P5R, and completed it this year, I couldn’t agree more that it was too long (despite being incredible).

The game for me took 200 hours (I did a lot of tinkering to get the strongest personas for the final boss and took me generally a while to get my head around the mechanics!) and honestly I just think a shorter experience would not have dampened it. I could not believe that I had still not finished the story and had done 200 hours at my final save!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (18th October)

kid_keo

Have put down my 100 hours+ fantasy life i save (achieved hero rank on all gathering and crafting classes + mercenary class, just now trying to beat the final hero quests which for the most part have been ok, bar trying to find a few very rare drop mats from treasure grove!) and am now taking a detour to Kalos to revisit Lumiose city 10 years after my first adventure there. I’m not that far in yet but I think i will enjoy. Should a game from the highest grossing media franchise be a bit better than what’s on display? Yes. Is it still fun and am I enjoying the story & gameplay mechanics regardless? Yes.

Happy gaming all x

Re: Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 Switch Comparison Video Makes Nintendo's Upgrades Clearer

@NotASockPuppet @NotASockPuppet the first thing you literally said to him was ā€œWhat a load of nonsense speech.ā€ How would you feel if you received that? I wouldn’t feel too great… by the way the person responded, it’s clear they didn’t feel great about it…

I agree it’s too expensive, I am also a fanboy (like yourself, or you wouldn’t be on this site so regularly), im just tired of entitled gamers like you thinking people can’t have an alternative opinion to yours without being dubbed a fanboy or just being told their wrong so bluntly.

Gaming is luxury. Things cost money. In 99% of cases, companies will always try and extract as much as they can of they know they have something valuable, like this IP. I get why some people are happy to pay. I am not.

You need a reality check if you think the vocal minority on this site are the ones that are ā€œcreating a monsterā€ or even on the other end rejecting how much it costs. Nintendo prices this on the mass market and they know it’s probably going to sell very well or they wouldnt do it. I wish they didn’t, but that is the truth.

I have no issue with your actual point, just please consider that other people deserve respect if they have a differing opinion to yours.

Re: Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 Switch Comparison Video Makes Nintendo's Upgrades Clearer

kid_keo

@NotASockPuppet he’s not giving them the go ahead mate, it’s his opinion, which he is entitled to. Stop telling him his opinion isn’t valid and he’s wrong. I actually agree with your opinion more than his but it’s just annoying you think you have the arrogance to shut him down.

Honestly these Mario galaxy pricing articles are going to be the death of this community

Re: Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 Prices Are Live, And It's Sticker Shock Time

kid_keo

@electrolite77 I’m so relieved you wrote this because if you hadn’t I was going to. It’s such a misguided comment.

I totally understand why people are upset about the price, and I also agree they are over priced, but at the end of the day games are a luxury and the price is indeed subjective. We are a tiny vocal minority and I think people feel more entitled then they should often about this subject, and it’s also very sad to see people throwing their fellow community members under the bus for blindly ā€œdefending Nintendoā€ (which is hilarious to me because you’re on essentially a Nintendo fan site lol, but I digress).

I think this is too much money subjectively to me personally so the game is not worth it. But I am just going to accept that, accept this product isn’t for me and just move on.

I come here to feel joy and talk about video games and enjoy the community but it’s just so exhausting how often the talking point is around how much things cost and/or toxic chat bringing others down. Complain about pricing all you want but please can we do it without it becoming a place people can’t have a differing opinion without being rude?

Again, I share the same opinion about it being overpriced as many of you, I just think some people could benefit from considering the above thought.

For all those who purchase, enjoy it. For those who don’t, fair play for voting with your wallet.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (23rd August)

Morning sports fans.

I’ve had a fantastic week away in Italy to celebrate my 35th (gulp) birthday, which meant lots of gaming:

-I sunk 60 hours into Fantasy Life i, which was the game I bought myself for my birthday/ holiday treat. I rolled credits yesterday and am now chipping away at getting all of the shrines in ginomorsia and maxing all my lives to hero rank. The majority of my lives are on expert. I had the original on 3DS but this one really has grabbed me and I adore it. Looking forward to the DLC and still LOADS left to do in the post game.

-My wife and I have been plugging away in Sunderfolk, which is a tabletop style SRPG in a fantasy setting, you play as an animal character with a specific class which you can choose from. Naturally I’m a giant polar bear tank, lol. The whole campaign is co-op. We are 35 hours in and have been loving it. We are approaching the final act now and the story is picking up. This is a must play for fans of For The King.

-If I have time, the wife and i are going to start DK Bananza, our freshly ordered physical copy has seen no love yet, and we will do co-op from the start. It’s not usually my wife’s type of game but she wants to play as Pauline whilst I’m DK just to experience it.

Happy gaming everyone!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (16th August)

I have FINALLY finished my 200 hour play through of persona 5 royal. Absolutely adored the game and the ending and whilst I will miss being in that world with those characters I feel a sense of relief to have finished it and try something new.

Since then, Fantasy life i has got me in a headlock. I’ve owned it less than a week and have sunk 30 hours in already. Had the first one on 3ds, which I enjoyed, but this one has got me hook line and sinker.

I’m on holiday and it’s my birthday so happy days, been getting up extra early before my wife to play it haha.

Happy gaming all!
