Re: Nintendo Switch eShop Purchases Will Be Tied To Your Nintendo Account

huxxny

@CircuitWrangler3 I don't think you really understand what i was saying... i was not, and i'm still not interested by the switch, for many, many reasons... BUT if i could install my virtual library on it, i would reconsider...

Besides, my lack of enthusiasm for the next gen of nintendo's console should not affect you nor anyone, and the same way you feel the need to white knighted on their behalf, i also have the right to be dissapointed by them and share my opinion with ppl who are also passionnate about nintendo... and being passionnate doesn't mean we have to like everything they do or release!!

Re: Nintendo Shuts Down Another Pokémon Fan Project

huxxny

@PanurgeJr also, i'm fairly certain that most ppl who visit this site are familiar by now with the bases of trademark laws and understand that Nintendo can, and to a certain extend, should protect their IP,...

But many ppl, including me, feels that the way Nintendo treat content creators and their fans overall, is definitly not the right way to go in this day and age! They should embrace the community that produce and share content that gives more visibility to their product like most of the industry is doing nowaday, instead of hindering their brand and reputation on the web like they seems to be bent on doing atm...

Re: Nintendo Shuts Down Another Pokémon Fan Project

huxxny

@PanurgeJr just so we're cleared, in french, ethic is éthique, and it refer to a code of conduct, a philosophy that set the foundation of morale, of what is juste and how we should act, and if i'm referring to the english definiton i found here, that is basically the equivalent of point 2.c

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/ethic
http://www.larousse.fr/dictionnaires/francais/%C3%A9thique/31389

even tho most commonly you use the word ethics that actually refer to the principles included in that code of conduct, to the set of rules itself instead of the dicipline, which might seems obvious to the native english speaker, it can still be tricky to someone how studied philosophy for many years in another language... tho its not a really good excuse since i've read and write my fair share of text in english, so i should know better, but then again, spelling never been my strong suit...

now, you can question my credibility all you want, but in the end, whenever ppl try to attack someone's credibility/character instead of the points they're making... you know...

like, there will always be 3 types of persons
1.the ones who talk about ppls
2.the ones who talk about events
3.the ones who talk about ideas

EDIT wow, i made so many typos in my response LUL

Re: Nintendo Shuts Down Another Pokémon Fan Project

huxxny

@PanurgeJr hahaa, indeed, basic enough, but you're right, in this case my orthographe/spelling was wrong, which we can all agree, TOTALLY invalidate my argument, right? besides, i never insisted nor pretended i was an expert on anything...

Re: Nintendo Shuts Down Another Pokémon Fan Project

huxxny

@jimi no, i am and i was definitly good, i'm completly aware of the legal side of things... this is not my 1st rodeo on that subject... you on the other hand are lacking education when it comes to basic ethic, marketing and PR, and unlike you, i won't pretend i'm some sort of authority on the subject and try giving you a lesson, but i'll definitly invite you make some research, but most importantly some thinking, to have some perspective on things before you go all out defending terrible business decision...

Re: Nintendo Shuts Down Another Pokémon Fan Project

huxxny

@jimi tx for the advise, but i'm good, tho, i'd also suggest you educate yourself...

@Trurii back at ya bud, don't serve me your crap, and just cuz you lack of vision, doesn't mean everyone has stop thinking for themselves...

Re: Nintendo Shuts Down Another Pokémon Fan Project

huxxny

anytime i hear ppl say something like :"but its THE LAW" about Nintendo's takedowns of fan's projects, part of me is dying inside, thinking that those ppl truly believe that cuz Nintendo has the right to do so, its also the RIGHT THING to do... -_-

Re: North American eShop Cyber Deals Bring Over 40 Discounts

huxxny

its still puzzled me as to why tumblestone is so pricy, i mean, are they really selling any copies at that price point?! ô.Ô

anyhow, i might very well grab Don't Starve and maybe a LEGO game or 2... tho i was thinking about getting that Sonic Racing game as well while the sega sale last...

Re: Nintendo of America Promises 'Steady Flow' of NES Classic Edition Units Through Holiday Period

huxxny

@cfgk24 only 2 things to tell you
1. here a quote from your 1st post... «Nintendo can't win publicly here.
1. If they over produce stock... All fans get a console but Nintendo are left with unsold stock coating them a lot of money for a wrong business decision.
Nintendo are out of pocket.» there, you clearly talking about overproducing...

2. "Artificial" Scarcity... do your research, and read me correctly before replying next time!!

Re: Nintendo of America Promises 'Steady Flow' of NES Classic Edition Units Through Holiday Period

huxxny

@cfgk24 you say its not true, i say i admire your naivety...

you know how De Beers sold their diamonds? pretty much the same way Nintendo sell their products... its called "Artificial Scarcity" and its not only a well known method of marketing, but its really efficient...

1. Overproduced? are you kidding me? they could have send a 100 units to every single stores out there, and they would have sold every single units...

2. The scalpers win? you mean nintendo's plan goes perfectly: they can not only asses the actual demands from the public by getting feedback, have the sold out effect giving them free publicity and create even more hype for their Holiday product... !! don't you think that's a win for Nintendo? ô.Ô

3. i have no idea what was your point here... the "correct" amount is a low amount to create situation #2

Re: Poll: Are You Excited About the Mini NES?

huxxny

i gave a GC to my father a few years ago, and he's still playing Prince of Persia every night before going to bed... now he just pass 78yo at the beginning of the month, and he doesn't knows it yet, but his birthday present that i promise to give to him later this month cuz its not in store yet is that NES mini...

Can't wait to see his reaction!! ;D

Re: Here Are Your New My Nintendo Rewards

huxxny

Discounts AREN'T rewards... if your local store offer you a "discount" on something, its an offer, not a reward... and they certainly not asking you for some "points" in exchange for that discount.... -_-

Nintendo are taking us for fools, that's the plain and simple truth... and its shameful and disgusting...

Re: Here Are Your New My Nintendo Rewards

huxxny

so i wrote to Nintendo, and everyone here should take 5 minutes and do the same... just go on their site, click on "support", then select "contact us", then select "corporate" then "MyNintendo" and "how hard it is to get rewards"... then just tell them what you have in mind... whatever you have in mind, but tell them, cuz apparently they have NO IDEAS what most ppl thinks and want from that program... 5 mins guys...

Re: Nintendo Switch Will Be a Single-Screen Experience

huxxny

the retro compatibility with 3ds and WiiU seems less and less likely... plus, if they ask me to buy my eshop library all over again... they can go.....................

the NS looks cool, but i'm getting less than hyped as i hear more about it...

Re: Video: Fan Remakes NES Castlevania Using Unreal Engine 4

huxxny

in a way, it look impressive and seems to have potential, on the other hand, it also look pretty clunky right now, and «where are the bats for the bat skip» i heard me saying while watching this...

worst part tho, was the Boss animation, it started well with the bat coming from the background, but then, it just looked ridiculous during the fight...

and like many have said already, i'm torn by the fact that i'm happy to learn about those fan projects, but i'm also scared that those articles will put some of them in jeopardy as they are bring to light...

Re: Weirdness: Desperation for NX Details Even Makes an Old Forum Post Interesting

huxxny

@strongest_link no simply cuz if i don't have access to it, i don't care, the same way i don't watch movie trailers, i watch movies... the only one who should care about any info about the NX, are devs, THEY need info and access to dev kits, not me...

i mean, don't get me wrong, any info about the NX is welcome, just not required, they won't make me more happy, worst case scenario they'll just me less happy since in won't have access to it yet,... just like LoZ BotW, i'm happy to know its coming, i want it, but i didn't watch the nintendo E3 event cuz i didn't want any sploilers to ruin the experience for me once i finally get my ends on it... (i actually had to avoid twitter for a while after its reveal) the only info i want about the new LoZ, its is release date, nothing else, i can make my own opinion on it as if its good or not, i don't need a review of it... and the same is true for the NX, i just want to experience it myself, and i'm not afraid to wait a little!!
