So much better than both sequels. It's not even close. 2 has a weird structure and 3 was so overstuffed with boring aspects. If this is an 8, 2 is a 5 and 3 is a 6. Fact!!!

@GamingGod I wasn't the biggest fan of Wii controls but it was one of the most popular systems ever and had a ton of great games. Switch 2 will eventually become the most sold and popular home console ever. Playstation and Xbox have nothing going for them. They never did other than trying to make their games look pretty, which is the least important thing in a game. Their first party games are awful.

@GamingGod all my little nephews ranging from 8 to 14 have PS5. It's a kid system and garbage at that. Nintendo is innovation that every company copies. They will be the last video game company.

I've been saying it for over a decade. Nintendo will be the only company to have a system. Microsoft is going the route of Sega and Sony will eventually. You just can't compete with Nintendo's first party games.

I just finished this game 100%. Well I missed 4 ducks, but I think it's a game glitch that doesn't count 4 of them that are used as keys. Anyway this review should be changed to a 9/10 as you have full camera control when you get to the 3rd level. Such a brilliant idea!

Megaman 2 was great but 5 was far superior. 2 and 3 had many flaws that 5 fixed. 4 was a big step down. 6 was even worse. 1 was just not good.

This is so much better than the original game. I'm actually preferring this game over Donkey Kong Bananza. It's just a cleaner experience and not as mindless.

@abbyhitter I just replayed Bowser's Fury yesterday and it would be the perfect formula for the next 3D Mario game. Just without Bowser Jr following you around and no Boswer appearing every few minutes. The funny thing is that I hate open world games (Zelda was ruined for me), but it really works for Mario. And 1,000 collectibles at least as the 100 goes really fast.

I had 365 P-Switches and 121 Peach Medallions. Looking at the map with the markers, I was able to up my P-Switches to 372. Somehow I had 4 grayed out challenges that I didn't beat, plus I looked in spots that seemed largely open without a found Switch. I didn't know the total until looking it up now. I can't believe how close I was.

This is one of the best Metroid type games ever made. Unlike the garbage overrated Hollow Knight series. It's actually sad that everyone is a follower.

This review is a little late and way overrated, but to each his own. 🤷‍♂️

Honestly this is a bottom tear Metroid type game. This is not even close to The Messenger or Chronicles of the Wolf. Neither was the first Hollow Knight. They're so dull with the samey locations and way too long. 20 hours at most for this type of game.

6/10 at best. Very dull Metroid type game.

Great. More worthwhile games than the PS5 already.

Sony needs to throw in the towel like every other company that has gone up against Nintendo.

Couldn't play for more than 11 hours. Metroid type games are my favorite but Hollow Knight was very boring and way too long. These types of games need to be no longer than 10 hours. I hope Silk Sing is better but that won't be hard since I would rate the first game a 3/10.

Absolutely nothing like Zelda. This is like Ys VI, Origins, and Oath in Felghana. And this is a great thing!

I'm waiting on a port of Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim. I love the Ys series and this is my favorite. I want ports of the first 2 games as well.

I was hoping for more updates to Free Roam. After finishing the rest of the game 100%, I moved onto having a blast playing Free Roam. I got all the ? panels, I'm at 361 p-switches, and 125 Peach medallions. If I didn't look it up, I wouldn't even know the totals of them. I refuse to use any of the guides as that would drive me crazy. There should be an option to track these things. Such as maps that you could purchase for their locations. Hey a use for collecting coins!

This game is a 10 and I played it to 100% with the issues it had on the Switch 2. This is in the top 3 Metroid type games.

@Spider-Kev The game is actually long. A little too long which is my only complaint about it. I've been playing over 40 hours and see it going to at least 60 for 100%. I don't think a game should be more than 20 hours max. And $70 would be perfectly fine for 20 hours. A 2 hour movie costs $20 to own!

I started off thinking only a 7 due to hating the game being all about smashing. I dreaded the canyon layer. I loved the Divide. Then I realized I wasn't playing the game correctly. It wasn't all about smashing. I upgraded my sonar all the way and only smashed when necessary. The game immediately became a 10. But now I was comparing it to Mario Odyssey. Was it better than a game I consider almost perfect? I can actually say yes. And the reason is that there is no stupid picture taking, rumble feature that I leave turned off, or any system feature necessary collectible in the game. This game really is perfect.

@rvcolem1 These are my favorite types of games. This one looks more like Ender Lillies and Magnolia, and the 2 Ori games. These are 4 great games! I honestly think Hollow Knight is the worst. It was so dull, long, and boring to look at.

@Dr_Corndog Well if you think 3 lap races are good then you're stepping way out of reality. Unless staring at a brick wall is your thing.

@Bigmanfan I disagree with everything I could sit through in that video. I hate 3 lap races and I know most other people do as well. Nintendo made the right decision with the intermission laps. And it makes the 1 lap on the track that much more exciting when you get to it. Making the game this way gives it a ton more variety and less of a chance for people to memorize a track which makes the 3 laps even worse. All I care about is that this is the way I always wanted it and I got it. Not to mention the free roam which I've spent 60 hours on after getting 100% on the rest of the game.

@Bigmanfan What does it have to do with strategy or going faster? I like to see different things instead of the same boring crap 3 times in a row. If you want straight racing then why are you even playing Mario Kart? Lol

@Bigmanfan No it's not. I love the change in environment while driving and you could still straight drift and ride rails.

Please no 3 lap races. They're beyond boring. I always wished the game after Mario Kart 8 would do away with driving in circles. Mount Wario was what Mario Kart should become and it did. Please don't go back!

@StewdaMegaManNerd It sounds like the real Mega Man games are too difficult for you. Stick with the garbage simplicity like Mega Man 11 then.

@TeeJay no but Mega Man not in 8-bit just looks awful. It doesn't have the right feel to be a good Mega Man game.

Mega Man 11 was a huge misstep. It was too easy with new ideas that fell flat. Just keep making them 8-bit. 9 was perfect and 10 was really good.

Nintendo was smart to do away with handhelds and stick to the Switch consoles. And they could be used portably which is a bonus.

It will almost definitely surpass the Switch 1 in sales. It launched with basically 1 game and it was the biggest launch ever. Imagine when a new Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Smash Bros, Luigi's Mansion, and Splatoon come out. And the upcoming Donkey Kong which I thought wouldn't be a popular title looks to be huge.

I rate it a 10 just for Free Roam. I'm glad I saved it for last after getting 100% in the rest of the game.

I got 3 stars on everything, all the ? blocks, all the carts, and every character about 2 weeks ago. I want to 100% the game but I just have no urge to play unless they update the game with some kind of tracker for the p switches and medallions. I have 230 and 75 and I feel like I'm just wandering around finding nothing with so much left to find. It's relaxing and kind of fun but at the same time, very annoying. And I refuse to use an online map/checklist.

8/10 I'll be getting the game but the game is too open-ended with the smash mechanic for my taste and way too overstuffed with collectibles. I prefer straight objectives.

World is the first racing game that is close to comparing to Diddy Kong Racing and DKR makes Mario Kart 8 look like trash.

50cc and 100cc yes. In Mario Kart 8 150cc as well but not in this game. The AI is so cheap. 7 times in a row I got hit with a blue shell right before crossing the finish line for a 3 star win on a 150cc cup. I changed my rule to at least 1 star on a 150cc cup before moving on.
