Anyone who doesn't want the original Castlevania games everytime they're released, should not play video games. They are some of the games that define video games. I feel bad for newer generations and the 99% of garbage that is released.

Still better then Megaman 11 with it's crappy graphics/controls/gimics. Capcom could learn from this game! My skin still crawls with the double gear system.

@Peterjr1 Resident Evil 2 was pretty crappy imo but only because it lost the appeal of the original unlike what Link's Awakening seems to be achieving.

@carlos82 it is completely not faithful to the original. I actually enjoyed the still camera angles and sluggish controls. It made the game scary as it was hard to control. The graphics are too crisp for this type of game. The gritty graphics just have a more disturbing feel. This is where options differentiate. I think Resident Evil 2 is one of the worst Remakes. Resident Evil did a much better job as a remake as it felt like the original. This is what Link's Awakening seems to be capturing. I would hate it if they turned it into a Breath of the Wild type of style.

@DarkKirby Resident Evil 2 was an awful remake imo. It lost the appeal of the original game. Link's Awakening looks to follow quality remakes like Wonderboy, Crash, and Spyro that kept the feel of the original games.

This is a great looking Remake so yes. Especially if a crappy remake like Resident Evil 2 was more then $30.

Yes Super Mario Kart SNES is by far the best one. The original Zelda is the best one. Mario World is the best Mario game. Super Castlevania IV is the best one. This game is excellent. Hollow knight and BotW are overrated crap. It's called an opinion and my belief that people like these newer games is because they're children under 30.

100 times better then Breath of the Wild. So I guess you're saying BotW is 6/10 the most!

Hollow Knight falls into the category of no replay value. It's way too long and there's very little incentive to play it again! Plus it's not fun getting lost so often in my favorite type if game.

F****** children don't know a good game. They like trash like Breath of the Wild and don't understand puzzle games like this. You idiots would have criticized genious games like Shadowgate and Uninvited.

What about Dragon's Lair Trilogy coming out today. I hope that it was delayed and didn't forget to be mentioned. I mean after all in my opinion it's better then games like Breath of the Wild. Sometimes I feel like this site is ran by 20 year old kids.

@aaronsullivan I judge games on Gameplay. Story means nothing. In fact, the more story, especially when you can't skip long drawn out cut scenes, the worse a game is. Games that take longer then 10 hours to 100% are usually worse. Very little replay value when there's no incentive to waste 30+ playing a game. Hence why Mario Galaxy is 100 times better then Mario Odyssey.

And the funny thing is that this is definitely an 8 out of 10 unlike most of the garbage they rate so high. Hollow Knight!!!

The Messenger is my favorite Indie game of 2018 and possibly ever but this dlc is only ok looking. The only game that had worthwhile/excellent dlc was Shovel Knight. The Messenger could have done something truly unique and awesome and had dlc of a full campaign based on the army guy. Then again as the Cowboy.

The game is obviously too difficult for the writer and they obviously never played Demon's Crest which was a semi sequel to Super Ghouls and Ghosts. A great game which had no maps or hand holding such as games like the overrated Hollow Knight.

I'm so sick of games being rated high because of story. It's not a f***ing movie. I skip every cut scene I can when playing a game. So basically this is not a game at all. Nor is it a movie. So it's just a long cut scene. Skip!

Nope just boring as hell and way overrated. The environments were all so similar and no stand out music. So many better games besides The Messenger in the same style that are far superior. Steamworld Dig 2, Guacamelee, and Blaster Master Zero to name a few.

Awesome news. By far the best Metroid clone ever! Unlike garbage like Hollow Knight that every brain dead person loves.

And this is going to save Sony from being dominated by Nintendo, How? Lol... Think Sony, it's time to move on and be a first party developer for the big N.

I just finished the game 100% in a little over 8 hours. I could not stop playing. Definitely a 9/10. I still don't understand why crap like Axiom Verge, Hollow Knight, Celeste, and Octopath Traveler get rated so high but gems like these don't.

Super Metroid if by far the best and that's a fact. Zero Mission is the only other one that comes close. Metroid and Metroid 2 would be 3 and 4. Then Metroid Prime being the only other good Metroid game. Metroid Prime 2 is a joke and by far the worst Metroid game. Such a chore to play that game! Metroid Prime 3 is almost as bad. Please Nintendo no Metroid Prime 4. I think Metroid needs to be laid to rest unless they go back to 2D.

Hidden for 4 years? I found this years ago and I'm sure plenty of other people have as well. I guess you're supposed to archive your life online.

I don't understand what this patch did. The game updated quite awhile ago with the demo. Is there a second one?
