Either way, great review and I look forward to the game. I was pretty cautious but after spending time with the demo and seeing reviews I'm excited to jump in.
No one (not even NintendoLife) seems to remember that online multiplayer was announced BY the developer for this title post-launch and was followed by radio silence.
I'm not really into cozy games but I got this game for my GF on PS5 and she loved it. We sit and play it together sometimes, its like if Animal Crossing had a story and focused on cooking.
@The_Nintendo_Expat Yeah, I really wish more review sites would take the time to measure input lag as a baseline for all games, most ESPECIALLY any games that are retro ports/emulation.
I also wish Digital Eclipse would improve their emulation so this wouldn't be an issue in the first place...
I'm kind of surprised this article celebrating the game is so negative.
This is, in my opinion, the best version of the original RE1 and it makes me sad that it'll likely never get ported (Capcom instead opting to port the inferior PS1 "director's cut").
Even just simple additions like the knife being on "L" or the quickturn make this game way smoother than the OG.
I get why some people just stick to the remake, but personally I prefer the tone and atmosphere of the original. It's bright and unsettling (and iconic!).
I definitely recommend people check out this game and give it a shot. It's stuck with me after all these years!
Eh... I'm not sure I trust DE with these games. DE is notorious for adding significant input lag, and that would make most of these games borderline unplayable.
But also, they bought up indie games with predatory contracts and then refused to release the game. They bough 90s Arcade Racer and then refused to release it even though its completed, totally screwing over the developer.
I watched a video of a guy run through a level without hitting an enemy, just walking through them. And then the enemies just sat there and didn't attack.
Surprised the review score is so high considering.
I'm priced out of Switch 2, but even when I do eventually get one, I'll keep my Switch 1. Knowing its not truly backwards compatible means i cant get rid of it...

Re: Review: Truxton Extreme (Switch 2) - A Thrilling Return For A Classic Shoot-'Em-Up Series
Isn't "high score chasing" the point of shmups?

Re: Latest Physical Sales Data Proves The Format Is, In Fact, Dying
I'd take this all with a grain of salt. CD, Vinyl and 4K UHD sales are all up this year...
Lets not cherry pick to fit a narrative.

Not interested in slop taxi tbh

Re: Review: Brook Wingman P5S - Use (Almost) Any Controller On Switch 2
My trusty old wingman XE2 is still working great on Switch 2 after a firmware update.
But I am started to get PS5 games that dont support PS4 controllers, which is annoying...
Re: Round Up: Every Switch 1 & 2 Announcement From Summer Game Fest's Weekend Showcases
No love for the MIX?
Re: Crazy Taxi: World Tour Officially Announced For Switch 2, Launching 2027
Do we know who's developing it? Is it an internal SEGA project?
The use of AI gives me serious pause, though... Maybe I'll just stick to DC... :/

Re: Best Switch 2 Ports - The Most Impressive Third-Party Games On Nintendo Switch 2
"the fights do get repetitive (turn-based Yakuza FTW),"
Turn-based yakuza is immensely more repetitive (and also very boring)! This is an insane take!
Re: Review: R-Type Dimensions III (Switch) - A Novel Remaster But A Purist's Nightmare
This game seems plainly unfinished. That's a shame, it was a promising port.

And this remake will be viewed like the past remakes... A footnote in the series.

Re: Review: ZPF (Switch) - A Unique-Feeling Mega Drive Shooter With Some Switch Issues
bought this game on genesis, its a pretty mediocre euroshmup with great visuals.
Re: Feature: "Stop Tagging Us About Bubsy!" - Fabraz On Being Bullied Into Reviving A Maligned Mascot
I don't like how they're trying to gaslight us into thinking Bubsy was "Dead" and they are "reviving" it.
There was a game in 2017 and another in 2019...
Re: Rumour: Nintendo's 2026 Plans Include New Star Fox & Zelda Remake, No 3D Mario
Insane that people are more excited about a remake of a game that already had a remake than an entirely new Star Fox game.
No wonder Nintendo is phoning it in nowadays, their fans dont ask for much...

I'll stick to MiSTER.

Re: Switch 2 Sales Reportedly Struggled Over The Christmas Period
@Zuljaras that's definitely what is holding me back from buying one, but surely you and I are in the minority?
I assume this is due to global recession, higher cost of living, high prices and lack of stand out games.

I'll never buy a Nicalis game again as long as I live.
Terrible company, and the article should do more to expose how awful they've been.

Re: Review: 8BitDo Arcade Controller For Switch + Switch 2 - The Best Way To Play Street Fighter 6
As a longtime arcade gamer and fighting game player, I seriously do not believe leverless is the "best" way to play anything.

Up in Canada stock and demand is not an issue at all. Our wal-marts and Gamestops have full stock- no one wants one up here.
If anyone lives close to the border near Toronto, just drive on up and grab one.
