Those are also beat em ups that aren't open world.

It sounds like you just don't like beat em ups- they can be modernized and made great, its just most indies dont bother to stray far from the tried and true.

Like, I agree with you but I don't think its a genre issue, it's just developers need to modernize 2D ones the same way 3D ones have been modernized.

Not every game needs to be open world. High quality beat em ups have their place. If you don't like them, don't play them.

We didn't even get a new Mario Kart for the Switch.

yes they are not. The majority of Switch library are warmed over ports.

This is not true. Invoicing is not some legally binding agreement that you think they've done their accounting properly. It is JUST to get paid.

You can invoice until the cows come home and still request an audit of their books at any time. There is 0 reason to not invoice for money owed. It does not legitimize or deligitmize their bookkeeping.

Regardless of what I think of Dangen, no other Dangen dev has had these issues.

Nintendo makes money off of every sale, so they're turning into steam and allowing heaps of shovelware to come to the platform.

Darius Cozmic might be the best shmup on switch. Is it pricy? Sure, but it's the best version of those games I've ever played.

this game made me sad. clunky combat, stiff controls, and the music/sfx were a letdown.

@JayJ except it's not. I know you're probably a kid so you don't get it, but when this game came out it was played 99% for online multi and that's what it's legacy is. People still play this game online on PC original release. It's a multiplayer game that happens to have a campaign mode for most people.

@WallyWest you can't play with someone you know. You can only play online with randoms. That's a huge missing features and it's available on PS4!

And it's missing custom matches which is terrible.

Did they make it so you can play online with friends? Party play? Join/invite?

This game is a scam. NintendoLife should report on the broken and missing features.

It's a shame a huge chunk of these releases are already readily available elsewhere... Who needs another port of Sonic 2? And is it even as good as the iOS ver?

SEGA and M2 need to step it up and release Saturn and 3D arcade games as well as more sought-after arcade releases like Golden Axe: Revenge of Death Adder.

AGES has been an extreme disappointment on the Switch.

It's a really baffling feature omission. Apparently you can do it on PS4, just not Switch.

Aaaaand the review completely fails to mention that online play lacks friend/party options. So if you want to play online, its with RANDOMS only.

This isn't from Nintendo its from an indie studio Nintendo refused to name drop: I believe Paladin studios.

Glad I waited. I was really cautious when I heard SEGA was not involved and when it got shadow-dropped before reviews. Always a bad sign!

im not sold on this yet. really shady game. unknown developer, futatsugi has no involvement, sega has no involvement, shadow dropped without reviews...
