@Daftbomb immortal redneck is a weak game. I finished it on PC. The guns are weak, the enemies are weak, the graphics are n64 quality. Bland game overall.
@NEStalgia okay at LEAST a discount on games like PSN does. I firmly believe that Ninty will give us some free classics like SMB3, Ducktales, Pokemon red/blue etc.
free games per month like PSN
better online
access to netflix/youtube (free for all, launches with the service)
Voice chat
an eShop app for easier purchasing
I'll gladly pay. That's also extremely cheap if free games are indeed thrown in.
I would not even attempt this. I hacked my Xbox 360 back in the day and for a year it was fine, but one fine day I went to play some Halo 4 and my Xbox Live account was banned.
I don't think a single player campaign matters for shooters anymore. The last decent story for a shooter was...
it was...
Yes! I enjoyed Titanfall 2
But even that, with the best story ever for a modern shooter, failed.
I spent most of my shooting hours on Black Ops 3 in multiplayer (never finished the single player mode), over 200 hours so, I don't think it's needed anymore. Just give us better multiplayer and let Indie games keep our single-player dreams alive.
What I do find interesting is the file size. On my PC, it's 19GB and the e-store lists it as 17.5GB. So essentially nothing was lost and we're getting the full game with perhaps compressed video. The programming there is quite remarkable. I only have a few GB free so no South Park for me.
For those who have never played it: it's a very dated FMV heavy game (with heavily compressed video that is close to unwatchable) but the plot is lame and cheesy, so you'll get some fun out of it.
The preview shows far cleaner video, I hope it remains that way. The Sega CD original was dire.
I hope they rework the UI, it made the game overall clunky in feel. Still, it's an EXTREMELY tame horror comedy that is worth at least one playthrough.
I love the 'waiting room' music in Splatoon 2 as it searches for a match. Love how you can remix it. Never gets boring. Honestly, it's one of the purest forms of online shooting you can get. Really fun. I look forward to the single player DLC as well, I truly enjoyed the single player that came with S2, so the more, the merrier it makes me.
@BenAV that is odd. Perhaps your exchange rate. I am in South Africa but use the UK store. It's either the same price or cheaper for me (now that the prices seem to be equal across most regions).
The Switch is my first ever digital-only console. And it's going to stay that way. It's actually cheaper in the UK to buy from eShop (or the prices are the exact same on Amazon for physical copies) then it is to get a physical Switch game. Also far easier. My PC is also Steam only, so physical means very little to me in the Star Trek-like era of 2018.

I was going to buy it when I saw the review on Gamespot, but it's not out yet sigh
Re: Keep The Beat With The New Taiko Drum Controller For Switch
@Pazuzu666 but it IS weird and rare. Or I’m sure it will be.
Re: Keep The Beat With The New Taiko Drum Controller For Switch
Can't wait to buy this, keep it, and re-sell it at an exorbitant price later on.
Re: Review: Battle Chasers: Nightwar (Switch)
Has anyone played this on PC? Is it worth the 40 squid?

Re: Nintendo Reveals Details Of Nintendo Switch Online
$20? For a year? That's nothing. Plus free games. I never got the NES mini so this is great for me.

Re: Charles Martinet, The Voice Of Mario, Will Be A Playable Character In Runner3
I met him at a launch event for Super Mario on Wii U. I literally almost pee'd me pants when he said, 'It's a me, Mario' for real. What a great guy.

Re: Embrace A Different Kind Of Virtual Console On Switch With The Adventures of Elena Temple
Not to be rude, but outside of the gimmick, the graphics, even for a retro-inspired title, are awful. The controls also just look finicky.
Think of it like this, if you remove the gimmick, is it still a game you'd want to play? Not I, says I.
Re: Zarina And Sylvie Arrive In SNK Heroines On Switch To Shake Things Up
The plot looks amazing. I love every aspect of the plot.

I'm gonna be so poor (worth it).

55% metacritic.
'in its current state it is largely unplayable thanks to the frame-rate working against you all the time.' says one reviewer.
No duh - the framerate makes it looks unplayable. An avoid for me.
Re: Feature: Hands-On With Raging Justice, The Streets Of Rage Successor Your Switch Deserves
My switch deserves dark souls, but that’s nawt to be seen.
Re: Details Regarding Nintendo Switch Online Services Will Be Shared In May
@Crono1973
no man:
Paying money toward an online service does help, Ninty can invest in more servers.
I would hope that netflix/youtube LAUNCHES with the service as an app for all. Not that it's paygated.
There is no voice chat for Switch yet? So this basic service, does not exist for us.
Yes an app like the App Store or Google Play. Buying games online on Nintendo UK is a pain in the rear.

Unless you have two Switches, then go wild.
Re: Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R Will Bring The Fight To Nintendo Switch
Awesome. Let's hope they make it an affordable price. Street Fighter on Switch was wildly overpriced for what it offered.
Re: Rumour: Call Of Duty Might Be Headed To Switch, But Only As A Battle Royale
@Mando44646 you sound like my brother. He only plays single-player shooters on Easy mode, says he just wants to experience the story.
Well some of us like to be humiliated on Splatoon by super-skilled 8 year olds thank you very much.

Holding out for Death Road to Canada. Have already completed this on PC. Is it the uncensored version?

If it didn't cost so much I would buy it for sure.

Re: Mercenaries Saga Chronicles Will Be Marching Onto Retail With A Boxed Edition This Summer
@Grandpa_Pixel lucky you. Games are R900+ in my zone of the world, so EU pricing online is the best option for me.
Re: Mercenaries Saga Chronicles Will Be Marching Onto Retail With A Boxed Edition This Summer
@BenAV MicroSD's extremely cheap in South Africa, so I have multiple 32gb cards waiting for service.
Okay, so Splatoon 2 is R750 (50 pounds) to buy online which is much better than R899.
What do you pay?
For me, I can get any Switch game from Amazon but the import costs are crazy.
