Anyways, this and Overwatch’s new update have made today one of my favorite days for gaming news I’ve had in a while. Super excited to buy this on the Switch

@MirrorFate2 Why would you replace a character in an older game because the content relating to that character in the present is “bad”? Not “offensive” bad, but “quality” bad.

@Friendly That’s not how it works, you get all the heroes for free and pay for cosmetics.

looks awesome, i am super excited to play this. the gender options and homesexual additions are super cool to see as well.

@Anti-Matter I would honestly love being able to have an option to decorate houses but still also having a way to use the already-made homes.

I also find it kinda funny to think about amiibo support, like they would announce some random Miis as amiibo figures lol.

@HotGoomba Exactly what I’m thinking. Kind of shows how selfish people are that they’ll go out of their way to clown on a game because it isn’t a big AAA game like they want it to be.

@rvcolem1 Honestly, you do have a point, but it all comes down to a marketing perspective. It depends on what they think deserves its own Direct. Personally, I don’t mind it, but if there were one of these every month I would definitely understand the frustration more.

@GoproGO Yeah, I think so as well. Especially since the “Minecraft meets Pokémon” in question is Key-Card slop lol.

@MamaSymphonia Agreed. For me, every first-party release from Nintendo, excluding Drag x Drive and Welcome Tour, were so much fun and were such a good start to the console’s life. I don’t know if 2026 can really top it honestly.

@PlatinumTour because why would you put 20 minutes of info in a Direct when there are other games they want to put a spotlight on during the presentation as well?

Everyone complaining about this clearly does not know how this kind of thing works. This same thing has happened before where we have a Direct a week or two after a Direct centered around one game.

Sucks to see that a bunch of people are losing a convenient way to buy games for them, but to be honest, it would’ve just been easier for me to buy my games from Walmart or Amazon when I chose to buy from GameStop.

I cancelled my GameStop Pro a couple days ago because I don’t like the store in my area, mostly due to the people who work there and how it’s less convenient than just buying online or at my Walmart.

My GameStop isn’t closing, which is interesting considering that it underperforms pretty often from what I’ve heard. I just don’t really like GameStop anymore.

What a fall from grace Level-5 has taken. I loved the Yo-Kai Watch games and have been really curious about Inezuma Eleven and Fantasy Life i, since they have both been getting a lot of praise. I love Professor Layton as well, and seeing these kinds of statements being made makes me upset and hesitant to support them.

I absolutely hate that AI is becoming such a normalized thing, especially with art like television and video games. It is kind of devastating to me seeing how much some companies are leaning into it and worries me about how much worse it could get.

I actually love this design, and for me it is better than the original Mega Lucario.

Hoping for some characters that haven’t shown up yet to get some screen time, like the Chaotix and Big the Cat (lol).

Holding out hope for a new Banjo game, even though it is still extremely unlikely.

I probably won’t be picking this up right as it releases, but maybe at a later point once I see more on how it looks.

I want to try this game out after reading this and i think it’d be fun to play with family since my dad loves X-Men.

Looks pretty solid for this month, but I am mostly just interested in Prime 4 and Titans of the Tide.

Also, I find it really interesting that they chose to go with Bowser’s Wonder design as his “other form”. I like it, but it’s just interesting.

In all honesty, I do like the designs of the characters from the movies. Besides a few little nitpicks I’ve seen, I think the Yoshi design is done very well and still captures the same energy as the original design
