Re: Daisy Fans Aren't Happy With The New Mario Golf: Super Rush Update

I’m sure they changed it for the international market. Take into account that it’s the same audio for every language, so it makes sense for lines to be easily understood regardless of your mother tongue. It’s even possible that “whatever” sounds like something rude in some other language, hence the need for a change. (Having said that… yeah, it sounded much nicer before!)

Re: Poll: So, How Would You Rate Summer Game Fest Kickoff Live?

Those hype trailers started merging together, they were so boring. Made me appreciate Nintendo's approach of showing things mostly when they're practically ready for release.

And then all those skins as global premieres... all those devs waving their names around with nothing new to show... Snorefest!

Re: There's An Indie Paper Mario-Like In The Works, And It's About Ghosts

I don't think I've enjoyed combat in a single Paper Mario game, and I've played them all (but the first one). It's just something I have to put up with.
But in terms of exploration, puzzles and most of all writing, Color Splash and Sticker Star are fantastic. And so is Super Paper Mario on the Wii. I'm not such a big fan of TTYD or Origami King. So there you are, there's an audience for everything.

Re: Don't Buy Devil Engine, Say Game's Artist And Musician

Is it stolen though? They created graphics and music FOR a game but it doesn't belong to the game? I mean, they should demand payment if they haven't received whatever amounts had been agreed, but I don't think one can rightfully say "Actually I don't like you now, so my music can't be used in your game anymore". Imagine an actor saying "OK there have been contract disagreements so you gotta take me out of your movie". Sounds strange to me.

I'm not saying that the developer is necessarily in the right. Only that it's impossible for us to judge without knowing what contracts were signed.
