No cross buy and only on the New 3DS, sometimes I think Nintendo just don't know what they're doing. I was so happy to see the Virtual Console logo but then this... such a shame.

I say go get yourself a SNES and buy the games physically.

Yes! Nintendo could do with some exclusives to entice people. At this moment in time Beyond Good and Evil is fairly niche (similarly if not more so than Bayonetta) but still it would be great for Nintendo.

Really disappointing, seriously Nintendo, what are you even doing to keep the Wii U and 3DS alive!? 5 seconds of a game that comes out in 9/10 months... come on now

Has anyone picked this up yet? Curious if some of the issues people noted with other version (PC etc) have carried over or whether people are enjoying these ports.

I'm in the camp that thinks that those Pokemon downloads are an absolute rip off. Yes, the Pokemon games have a large fan base but this just makes Nintendo look incredibly greedy. For that kind of money you might as well ditch the 3DS entirely and just buy a physical old school copy. They could have made a dent into the high prices on eBay but I doubt these will have any significant impact.

My theory is that they were priced highly to make the New 3DS bundles look better. Sigh.

Don't think I'd heard of him before but really sad news. I love the M2 games and he helped make them as great as they are. He also appears to be credited for sound programming previously, obviously a very dedicated and passionate man.

Man, Pokemon is sooo overpriced. I don't get Nintendo's pricing, all VC games should cost the same with each system having a set price point.

Mega Man Legacy Collection is actually a pretty good price and is very tempting, will have to see how it pans out with the technical specifics though (slow down, input lag etc). Already have 1, 2 and 3 but £11.99 is fairly tempting.

@Einherjar Apparently these emulated ports in the Legacy Collection aren't perfect and have extra slowdown and issues when compared to the original NES carts.

@Onion that collection never made it into the UK sadly.

@Einherjar there's been accounts of extra slowdown, flicker and glitches that aren't in the regular NES games.

For me it all comes down to the way the game actually looks in motion on the system. I find NES games on the 3DS VC don't look that good and I wonder how these games have been stretched etc.

@RadioShadow just checked the word up, aside for being a rather fun and freaky Aphex Twin track it's also a derogatory word for those who have mental health issues or disabilities.

Love Rising Star Games, this looks interesting if a little (potentially) one note. It reminds more SMT meets Vanillaware in terms of graphics.

It would be nice if it wasn't just for the Wii U, had a wider selection of games and was a lot cheaper. As it stands this could be any week's discounts to be honest.

Chariot and Teslagrad are the stand-outs but can be had as part of steam bundles for waaay cheaper.

@ChristopherM Good point, the Master System was also more of a EU thing too.

Although I own all of the current 3D Classics I'd still pick up this, M2 did such an incredible job with this series. I hope all of the games get a physical release.

Cool, I actually enjoy the Badge Arcade, I haven't spent a penny and have almost 200 unique badges. It's a fun little time sink.

Yes yes yes!! Love the Picross games, I think I prefer my Picross 2D but this looks like it's a nice evolution of the 3D series. Instant buy for me.

@Souldin Agree, if it weren't for Pit in Smash people wouldn't have been craving a new Kid Icarus game. I'm all about Nintendo making partnerships as well, what with Sony grabbing Kojima for a game it'd be cool if Nintendo helped more legendary creators realise their dreams... NX!!!

I love handheld gaming, DS and GameBoy are easily among my favourite systems but I'm going to be honest, this part portable part home console has me worried.

Splatoon

Mostly I want F-Zero and Metroid, for the third place I'd like a new Splatoon as I feel it's a game that should turn into a series although perhaps it's too soon after the first one... I'd very happily replace Splatoon with an obscure Nintendo franchise remade from the ground up (Ice Climbers, Mario Bros, Devil World, 1080, Rhythm Heaven, Star Tropics, Captain Rainbow, Mother, Kururin etc etc)

I think they did pretty good. Halo 5 and Rise of The Tomb Raider are the only exclusives above Super Mario Maker

@amiiboacid yet you must see that it would make sense to either move the game entirely to the NX or to have it on both systems. I'm sure Nintendo don't want all the money and effort put into making the Zelda Wii U experience to go to waste with low sales (especially if there is promise of a new console round the corner).

@vonseux I have to disagree here. DSN-12 is a phenomenal soft-synth. This doesn't look like it comes close. This appears closer to the M01 in that it's sample based (by the looks of it) but the beauty of DSN-12 is that it works like a true analog synth. You can bring knowledge of subtractive synthesis to DSN-12 and there is a lot you can learn just by messing around with DSN-12 too.

I have to be honest this doesn't look promising to me. I own all the Korg DS and 3DS games and love them to death, aside from chords and auto accompaniment I don't see what this is adding to the party.

It looks closer to the M01 workstation than the full blown analog modeling of the DSN-12 which is easier to get on with but not that distinctive... we'll see though.

A fairly good deal but if I'm going to get another 3DS it'd have to be a 'New' one.

This and the first collection NEED to come to Europe. Although I've already bought all of them I'd definitely double dip to have them physical and get the exclusive content.

Might be worth getting simply for being cheaper than a regular Pro controller.

Does anyone know how much input Iwata might have had with this new console?? I hope he was involved heavily in the decision making leading up to his untimely death. It's still hard to know what Nintendo's new president has planned, can he live up to Iwata's legacy?

I really hope for backwards compatibility with the Wii U (although I see that that as being highly unlikely) as I've still to get that console and it'd be a shame for games like Bayonetta 2, Super Mario Maker, Splatoon, Mario Kart 8 etc to be forgotten about.

Also, it's a real shame that whenever Project Zero or Xenoblade X are brought up the discussion just revolves around censorship, massive shame.

Haven't watched the video yet but cannot disagree with what she is saying in the quote you've provided. The costumes in question shouldn't really have been in the Japanese version either in my opinion.

Tempted but Ace Attorney Trilogy for the 3DS but you never know what Christmas may bring so I'm going to wait it out.... Everyone should pick up Sayonara though, amazing eShop game!

I don't think this will ever happen. It's more likely to be put on Steam than Wii U let's be realistic here.

I want the 3DS to live another good two years, there haven't been many 'New' games and I feel there is still a lot of greatness that can be had with the machine... saying that I'm still collecting for the GameBoy!

@LinkSword I definitely recall Code of Princess being on sale at least two times in the past year or so (around £13 if I remember correctly).

Very sad news, loved Sayonara on the 3DS, Code of Princess not so much! They'd just put all the Umihara games on Steam, maybe this was a last effort to bring in some money?? Who knows but all the best to those at Agatsuma, here's hoping the future is bright for you all.
