The Nintendo UK store has opened pre-orders for the new Pokémon Yellow, Red & Blue 2DS bundles. Each one comes with a carry case of the appropriate colour (well, almost - the yellow system has a grey one), as well as a preinstalled version of the relevant game.
The asking price is £79.99, while the yellow version of the machine is also being offered with a Pikachu multi-case for £84.99.
The packs will be available on February 27th. Pokémon Yellow, Red & Blue are being released on the 3DS Virtual Console that week, you see. Will you be ordering one? Let us know by posting a comment.

A fairly good deal but if I'm going to get another 3DS it'd have to be a 'New' one.
FYI, Nintendo UK store currently has a promotion where you can get a free calendar on orders over £50.
The codes are KARTCALENDAR1, CROSSINGCALENDAR1, MARIOCALENDAR1 and ZELDACALENDAR1.
I would order a red one if I could transfer my New 3DS data to it, but I don't think that is possible...
pre ordered
Currently playing Yellow on my Game Boy Pocket
These are nice and the prices are good! However, I won't be purchasing one.
I want yellow one!😍
I'm so disappointed that the colourised versions of Pokémon Red and Blue aren't being used for the 3DS emulations. They were in colour when played on the Game Boy Color and the Super Game Boy. Hell, these games have colour palettes in the code (if the ROMs are anything to go by), and considering how discriminate the masses are when it comes to black and white content (particularly movies), it's simply baffling that Game Freak would squander the opportunity to at least make an exception to the VC rule and allow the colour versions (or even allow us the option to switch between the monochromatic Game Boy and the colourised Game Boy Color emulations) to be played in these releases, particularly as they are using them as a selling point for a console bundle in this day and age.
I see no reason why the masses would even consider buying Red or Blue when Yellow version is available in "glorious" 16-bit colour. Nevertheless, I intend to buy all three versions (and maybe double dip with Yellow version for my Pikachu 3DS XL, which I've since transferred the data to my New 3DS XL), but it's still disappointing that they are favouring an inferior emulation to what illegal emulators have been capable of doing for years.
@milkonmonday It is possible, you just need to copy the MicroSD card data to an SD card.
I'm a bit peeved we in the states aren't getting this. Or at least they haven't been confirmed yet. I wanted the yellow one so bad...
@Damo I think you are misinformed, according to Nintendo's website it isn't possible: http://bit.ly/1RKY2jG
@milkonmonday Weird, can't see any reason why it wouldn't be possible.
I know I asked about this before , but what's a good place to import EU systems from? Preferably one that doesn't jack up the price by an insane amount like PlayAsia does.
Again, no PlayAsia.
I don't have a PAL system and I'd really like that Pika 2DS. Since the 3DS is imprisoned within different regions, it's pretty much a requirement for a hardcore Nintendo handheld hardware fan to waste money on the same system AT MINIMUM 3 times in order to fully enjoy and appreciate it (yes, I am VERY bitter about this). Anyway, I do have homebrew installed on my Murican 2DS and thus region free loader app, but....come on, it's Pikachu.
@AVahne:
From Amazon.uk that is. I've done in the past, and besides the shipping which might be high sometimes, Amazon.UK tends to have a lot of special sales for Nintendo gear and games.
@maceng
Thanks very much! I guess I'll be watching for special prices or decent prices there then. Hopefully Nintendo makes more than enough to go around considering it's Pokemon.
Even with region lock and a low price tag, I can't justify buying this for myself when I already have a perfectly functioning 3DSXL. If the states get the same deal though I may just cave, get one for my younger brother, and borrow it occasionally lol.
@AVahne The other option is asking someone in the UK to buy it and post it to you. I estimate the cheapest postage being £20 to the USA for the weight of the item. Although you would have to trust giving them the money. I would happily help you out, but I won't blame you if you don't trust that method.
Please come to the US!
why are they PEGI 12??????
Nintendo never releases good stuff in North America. They might as well just pack up and move on out of here.
@saturdave Most likely because of the slot machines that you get to use in the game. They did that with Super Mario 64 DS on the WIi U VC. Gave it a PEGI 12 because of the mini games having gambling references, despite the fact the original DS release had a 3+ and later releases of the game as PEGI 7.
Personally, I think it's harmless gambling. Your using fake money, which you can "earn" back. This is just PEGI being really stupid. I guess I shouldn't have played this when I was 9?
