Shame Cave Story 3D never got put on the eShop.

That's pretty cool, I'd definitely pick up a cart if they finished it and put it out. Furrtek created a GB/GBC puzzle game called Airaki a few years ago, got two copies of that.

@samuelvictor at least we can play them digitally via the eShop! My favourite's have been Fantasy Zone II W and Super Hang-On. Well worth picking up.

@tigermask It's all about Power Drift, I could give or take the other extras to be honest. It'd be nice to play the original Fantasy Zone II although I imagine it pales in comparison to II W.

@samuelvictor no chance sadly! Japan got 2 volumes but we seem to be skipping the first one. Sadly I don't think there will be any more M2 games for the 3DS but I guess we've got to be happy that we got as many as we did.

@gcunit Although not exclusive for PC I imagine he's half referring to Valkyria Chronicles which had a new lease of life thanks to a PC release. Football Manager, Total War, Tembo, Alien Isolation maybe? Again, none of these are exclusive to PC though.

@masterLEON agreed, they're amazing games and M2 do such a good job.

@ultraraichu I did the same, might get it on the 3DS if it plays well and has good 3D. Prefer playing on handhelds most of the time.

Not much story there but I'm actually looking forward to this game. I was one of the few who enjoyed Hunters on the DS and loved the controls of that game (although saying that it has been a few years since I last played it).

I have hopes for this game, not the highest hopes but hopes all the same. I predict it'll get 7/10 across the board.

Thanks for the review, was waiting on your verdict on this one. Not quite convinced it's an 8, would love it if CIRCLE put out a demo for this one so we could try it out ourselves.

@Phil_Kavadias also VC games cost more on 3DS then Wii U. They should all be cross-buy and priced the same. I'm hoping Nintendo have this in mind with the NX. I'd be seriously angry if they don't let us carry over our purchases.

@Damo maybe it's the design, the image spreads really seem to dominate over the words... saying that it does look nice.

Seems great although I think I prefer more written pieces with my video game books. Read-Only Memory's Mega Drive book is probably my favourite book on video games and a big part of that is the design, layout and approach. There is tons of writing and interviews but also tons of images from sprites, backgrounds, concept art, box art... it's incredible!

This is really worrying to me, Pokemon Go, a game that is not on a Nintendo console and not developed by Nintendo is making their stocks rise dramatically.

It's the 3DS and the Wii U that should be increasing their stocks. I worry about where Nintendo goes with this news, they will follow the money and I really worry about Nintendo keeping their integrity through this.

I wish Amiibo would just disappear, they're diluting game content and locking gameplay elements away behind an overpriced piece of plastic... not for me!

All I needed to know was that the resolution was messed up and that's enough for me to steer clear of this one. Will stick with my Game Boy Player, DS Lite and AGS-001 for GBA games thanks .

Good news although they should also back and release some other games that weren't physical here like the original SMT IV. Also bring the two M2/Sega 3D collections over while you're at it (please).

Totally agree with the 7/10, the gameplay gimmick of changing between 2D and 3D is great (especially on the 3DS) but the overall style is a bit lacking and it soon tiresome to play.

Surprisingly good on the DS with very little slowdown, works really well with the 3DS' circle pad which gives the movement a more analog feel (even if it's still digital). The default control scheme is easily the best, with firing mapped to the touch screen. Highly recommended.

@Peach64 Except that would mean having to buy a US 3DS too, at least the original DS was region free.

I want to say Zero Time Dilemma; but I'd never pay £32 for a digital download. Hope it gets a physical release here one day.

Digital only in Europe... so sad about this.

I was tempted by the 5 year eShop deals in Europe but now I feel like we should wait it out and see what happens on the 14th.

HIGHLY recommend Super Hang-On, kind of overlooked but sooo good. In terms of a European discount I'd much rather just get the physical carts that Japan and America got.

Enjoying this so far, the 3D is really nice and although the gameplay is fairly basic and doesn't change that much it's always presented in new and fun ways due to the quick introduction of new types of enemies and locations.

Word of warning though, play using headphones or with the volume high otherwise you are likely to get hit by things you couldn't see (but could have heard coming).

Could have been a little better but overall I'd give this a solid 7/10

@SilentHunter382 That's definitely a fair point and is a worry with digital releases. Still, a fair amount to splash out in a short period of time for me at the moment sadly! Will save up the pennies.

@SilentHunter382 Surely there will be some kind of warning beforehand though right? At least some rumblings. Like what happened with Tetris and that DSiWare game (can't remember the name!).

@riChchestM It's good to see these games actually permanently at £8.99, I swear there have been games labelled as 'permanent reduction' but then it turns out to just be a sale price. Eventually I'll get these, good to know there's no made rush! Maybe the physical copies will start going down in price? We can hope.

@riChchestM from what I've read EOU came out after IV and is a remake/re-imagining of the first game for the DS. I've heard that is the best place to start as it integrates elements from IV anyway.

Had forgotten about this game, it was fun for a while. Would be curious to see the game running on a big screen with actual physical buttons.

I can't find a comfortable seat right now, added it to my Watch Later list... will be investing in comfortable seat.

Some reason it reminds me of Galaga, could be fun for a little bit.

First words that came into my head were 'master handheld', would make sense if it was used to control the NX or that it could take the NX experience and make it handheld. Very curious.

Wish them all the best but I won't believe it until I really see the goods. Nothing so far is any different to back in their Kickstarter days.
